The administrative staff was professional, responsive, and compassionate, making a difficult time much easier to navigate. The nursing team treated my father with dignity, kindness, and genuine concern, while the PT/OT staff were knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in his progress. The social worker was invaluable--guiding our family through care planning and next steps with clarity and empathy. The facility was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and well organized, and communication with our family was excellent throughout. Entrusting a loved one's care is never easy, but Burgess Square earned our complete confidence. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking exceptional rehabilitation and senior care.

I did not agree with his choice, but I chose to support his choice. The nursing staff was very kind and attentive to me. I wish I would have gotten the name of the night staff assistant that was exceptionally kind to me. Even encouraging me to stay later on June 5th, the night he passed, "I think you should stay this evening." My biggest issue with this facility is, every single day we had a staffing to discuss my husband's "lack of passing". Their goal was for him to pass in 7 days. Consequently each day we had a staffing to discuss "Plan B". Translated, "What are you going to do if he does not pass?" It wasn't painful enough that I was waiting for my husband of 24 years to die, but I had to worry about moving him out of this location to some other place if he didn't hurry up an die. I am sure this was about insurance. Apparently 2 separate types of insurance isn't enough. They never offered for me to pay out of pocket. Cold hard facts: Hurry up and die or move him out of here. Thank goodness the staff was nicer than the business model.

The grounds are beautifully kept, and the walking trails are lovely. The staff here is very caring and first rate. They really took time to keep us updated on progress and did so much to help our family. Even the chaplain took time to visit my dad regularly. We were able to attend one of the Sunday non-denominational church services, and the music and message were punctuated by the breath-taking chapel and stained glass window. My father's only complaint was the food, but he was on a very restricted diet. It certainly smelled great in the halls during meal times. I highly recommend this place.

My Mom passed away here years ago . Now I find my dad here for rehab and there are soooo many…read morethings wrong with the place, I could write a laundry list. My elderly Dad broke his hip. He was at Edwards Hospital for 7 days and each of those days after surgery he was gotten up in the chair. It took some effort, but they did it. He's on his 4th day here and still unable to get him in the chair. Rehab won't try and he'll need a lift to get him up. He needs full care at this point. The other day I arrived at 11 am. His cold breakfast was uneaten on his tray table, no blankets on him and he was on a bedpan for well over an hour. They said they couldn't wake him up. Well I showed them how to wake him up and with my help he ate everything plus 2 ensure shakes ( which I brought) , orange juice and a large glass of water. His room was and still is filthy. Can't find anyone to clean it. His television is all staticky and almost unwatchable. Trash in the drawers and under furniture from another patient. The place just smells! I can't in good conscience recommend this place to anyone and as soon as I am able, I'll get my Dad out of here. He deserves better. I am a health professional and have lots of experience with hospitals, nursing homes and rehab centers.

Then it's time to start all over with a new person. It's extra work for family members because many of the caregivers will slack if nobody is checking up on them. How ironic that "Trust" is a part of their company name. Employee pay and morale...both low. Complaints are swept under the rug. Take a pass on this company. When it comes to finding good care for you or your family member, do your homework!

The days and hours worked for her until she left the interview. Then apparently "we had a small problem". She wanted 4 days and 6 hours a day at $25.00/hour based on what she "saw"???? I asked what she saw, apparently the house was a mess??? It's a condo and I know it wasn't a "mess". Sorry Barbara and Eva's, there are other agencies out there.

I never thought l'd be turning 30 years old while bed-ridden in an acute care facility. That…read moreunfortunately became a reality in 2023, after I was hit head-on by a wrong-way driver with dementia on I-39. I just wanted to take the time to recognize the staff at Thrive of Lisle, as they took great care of me. Shoutouts to CNA's Alan & Harrison; nurses Shirley, Mark and Gina. They are the best! Kellie from activities, Jerome and Sue are always roving the halls and engaging with residents. The positivity and enthusiasm of the staff is truly contagious, and made this long recovery journey easier for me. Therapists Susan, Ed, Keyenna and Tiffany have been helping me work towards my goal to be able to walk again and use my left arm. I love Thrive of Lisle, and the staff here. 2023 was easily the darkest time of my life. I nearly lost my life, and was not sure if I'd ever walk again, or be able to return to the career that I love. The staff at Thrive treated me like family. I can't tell you how much happiness and hope that CNA Alan, Nurse Shirley & Kellie brought into my life during this time. They are truly special people. I still come back to thrive and visit at least 4 times a year. It's rewarding for me to visit the current patients during activities time, as well as spreading positivity and encouragement. I also love seeing my extended family (the Thrive staff). My advice & words of wisdom for incoming patients and their families: * Advocate for yourself as the patient; if you're a relative; please advocate for your loved one. * Treat the staff with love & respect (I promise it'll come back to you ten-fold, and will be a much better experience for you & the staff this way.) * You might be shy at first, but take full advantage of the activities that Kellie puts together! From craft-making to group games; it's a fun time for everyone! (Even the patient's visitors are encouraged to participate). * It doesn't matter if you're bedridden, the staff will make sure to get you out to socialize, shower, or PT. You just need to communicate your needs to them early enough in the day. * Family: PLEASE don't underestimate the power of your visits. Frequent visits will greatly help your loved one as they strive to recover. I had at least 2 family members taking turns visiting me throughout each day. *Keep in mind, you ARE allowed to sit in on your loved one's physical therapy sessions. - Just ask the therapist as a courtesy* * Stay positive & Keep on thriving!
