Numerous charges for faceless docs, useless labs, no MyChart portal available for family and PCPs to review, lip service from the leadership and staff, completely inadequate medication management. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the walking trails are lovely. The staff here is very caring and first rate. They really took time to keep us updated on progress and did so much to help our family. Even the chaplain took time to visit my dad regularly. We were able to attend one of the Sunday non-denominational church services, and the music and message were punctuated by the breath-taking chapel and stained glass window. My father's only complaint was the food, but he was on a very restricted diet. It certainly smelled great in the halls during meal times. I highly recommend this place.

He was at Edwards Hospital for 7 days and each of those days after surgery he was gotten up in the chair. It took some effort, but they did it. He's on his 4th day here and still unable to get him in the chair. Rehab won't try and he'll need a lift to get him up. He needs full care at this point. The other day I arrived at 11 am. His cold breakfast was uneaten on his tray table, no blankets on him and he was on a bedpan for well over an hour. They said they couldn't wake him up. Well I showed them how to wake him up and with my help he ate everything plus 2 ensure shakes ( which I brought) , orange juice and a large glass of water. His room was and still is filthy. Can't find anyone to clean it. His television is all staticky and almost unwatchable. Trash in the drawers and under furniture from another patient. The place just smells! I can't in good conscience recommend this place to anyone and as soon as I am able, I'll get my Dad out of here. He deserves better. I am a health professional and have lots of experience with hospitals, nursing homes and rehab centers.

We are subsequently being charged for what would be a months supply of various meds, none of which he received. We have paid the co pay for the meds he did received, but they billed the pharmacy for the entire months supply. . We have disputed with both the facility & the pharmacy. Heartland rebilled, Now we are being charged co-co-pays for both. We have disputed time & again to no avail. Keep that in mind when dealing with this facility.

The administrative staff was professional, responsive, and compassionate, making a difficult time much easier to navigate. The nursing team treated my father with dignity, kindness, and genuine concern, while the PT/OT staff were knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in his progress. The social worker was invaluable--guiding our family through care planning and next steps with clarity and empathy. I could not sleep soundly at all! The air was consistently blowing directly on me and I could not control it at all! Considering the fact that it was a very stressful situation to begin with, I would have loved to have had at least a half a nice restful sleep, but I could not because of that blowing air directly on top of me the entire time and it was full force! Like I said there was nothing that I could do to control it or the nurses or the doctors could control it at all! I wish they would fix this!
