I always look to support coffee houses that roast there own because they aren't just moving coffee they care about the product and there roast is great. I bought a bag of Ethiopia Medium roast which is natural not washed and the smell and taste are wonderful. Sometimes the naturals go over the top but this one hits the spot - its got the fruit but its also mellow. Perfect for sitting down and just enjoying a cup in peace. Food also excellent. My go tos were the oatmeal (no cream) and the croissant sandwich which was recommended to me by a very nice lady who works for delta in Tampa and comes to Cedar Key 3 times per year and was excited when she heard this was where I was going. read more

Wow. I don't understand where these good reviews are coming from. We just got out chicken salad croissants. We were told after waiting almost 30 minutes for them that the reason was that they make everything from scratch-I'm no expert but I know a Sam's croissant when I see one and whoever is so unbelievably out of touch with flavors would put a garlicky chicken salad with sliced strawberries?? Adorable with nice service but the food leaves a lot to be desired. It's ok but I had higher expectations. I had an everything bagel with salmon, onion, lettuce and tomato. Honestly I felt like I was eating a Lender's bagel with not much on it. My daughter had an everything bagel with cream cheese, she agreed and thought that even though simple it should have been better. Presentation was very nice and the service was good. We both had coffee, I had a dark roast, she a latte. This too was just ok. Truthfully I did expect more for the price we paid, I expected more period. Walking in I loved the place, it's darn cute and I think it's amazing that they sell "Quincy Cattle Beef" in the freezer that's in the front of the store. This cute little coffee shop is no larger than your average kitchen but they have all kinds of pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and coffees. My main reason for coming was for the frozen chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick. There are very few food items that when I see them I say "I have to try that," but this was one of those times. It was just as decadent as you would imagine: creamy pie inside of a thick chocolate outer coating with tangy lime flavor. We walked to this coffee shop one morning from our B&B. We ordered Cafe Con Leche with brown sugar, not on the menu but they madde it for us. We also had chocolate muffin not made in house and a blueberry scone made in house. We ate outside on the side walk. The coffee was good but a bit expensive for the size. The muffin was very good but the scone seemed not to be cooked all the way and a bit doughy. Overall a cute coffee shop and would come by again when in town. read more

The quant Cafe is a must visit when you are visiting cedar key. There is so much charm here with the furniture, chalk board menus, and displays. Enjoyed an everything bagel with cream cheese and a BELT sandwich. Great chew from the bagel, perfect amount of cream cheese. Scrumptious! A word that I rarely use. We had the two egg fold over sandwich -mine with bacon and my husband's with feta and spinach. It comes on your choice of five breads (sorry no gluten free). I'm not sure how they do it, but the sandwich was so good I moaned. The best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Every ingredient was prepared perfectly from light eggs, perfectly cooked bacon and the secret ingredient-the bread was toasted but soft. We also tried the lemon cranberry scone which was so flavorful and moist. I got a coffee (good, but I'm not a coffee lover myself). My husband got one of their many flavored lemonades-pomegranate. It's on the corner right when you drive into town, across from Tony's, so it's hard to miss. There are places to sit outside, as well as inside dining seats. Orders are placed at the counter and are brought to your table. The menu is fairly small but is variable (breakfast sandwiches, crepes, pancakes, etc.). I had the ham, egg, and cheese croissant and it was fantastic. I also split the blueberry pancakes with my girlfriend and they were good with beautiful presentation. The staff was kind and made sure we enjoyed our time. If you're in Cedar Key looking for breakfast, this would be my suggested spot! read more

What a wonderful little gem. This cafe deserves a medal. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We brought our dog and sat outside. After our food came one of the staff members brought the dog a slice of bacon and a bowl of water. We didn't have to ask for it. The food was beyond this world. The chocolate covered key lime pie is what brought us here, but this iced latte would make me come back. This coffee shop is adorable, delicious, and leans on the sustainable side. My straw was paper, my boyfriend received a noodle straw. Super cool. Both worked very well and did not hinder the taste of our drinks. I love that a place in such a small town shows they care about the environment. We both loved our drinks. The pie was delicious. WiFi was free (have to ask for the password). They sold mugs, coffee beans, spices and sauces, and other knickknacks. This is one of the cutest places I've ever been to! So many things to look at inside and they even have a Victrola playing old music! Love it!!! The food was excellent, I had the biscuits and gravy which was soooo good, and my husband had an everything bagel with cream cheese. The drinks were excellent, too. I had the pumpkin chai latte hot with almond milk, and my husband had the handmade pina colada flavored Italian cream soda. I've never had a handmade Italian cream soda before so I took a sip and it was so delicious!!! If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I love love love this coffee shop! The coffee is roasted "on island" and it just has a really good taste. Everyone who works there is super nice. The egg sandwiches are great! (Maybe a smidge pricey Buuut they are really delicious so I don't mind paying a little extra.) I've tried some of their muffins and those were really good as well. They are also super dog friendly. This is exactly the mom n pop type of cafe I expected in cedar key. It happens to be adjacent to one of my other favorite spot (Bonnish Studios). Old school music playing in an actual record player. The cedar key roast was very smooth and fulfilling. I consumed it rather quickly and actually went back for a refill. The following day we tried the breakfast sandwiches which were also very generous in portion and tasty. I personally think the coffee taste much better than your typical mainstream coffee shops. Not to call them out or anything. Just like everyone else in cedar key, the staff was very kind and open to converse. They were particularly happy to be reopened in context of the covid pandemic. I highly recommend the coffee and breakfast sandwiches here and will return in the future. read more
