First time visiting Cancun and we wanted to try a more local joint vs resort food. This fit the bill. We went in the afternoon for a couple of beverages and found their hand made squeezed margaritas were very good and $195 pesos was a good price. I had a Tulum Cerveza, a local my brewed beer I've never heard of which was pretty good for only $95 pesos. Mark, our seemingly very young server was very engaging and personable. Came back the next day and had fajitas steak which were very good. Came with rice and beans. Katrina was embers accommodating bringing both corn and flour tortillas. Seating area is half under foot and half open air overlooking the lagoon or bay side of Cancun which makes for a very nice and casual setting. Will we be back, most definitely, if we ever make it back to Cancun from home in Hawaii. Unfortunately, odds are not too good.
Wanted something lowkey for dinner since everything around our hotel seems to be high end. Found this little gem and decided to give it a try. The place is very unassuming from the front, but as soon as you walk through the door, the ambiance hits you. The service was decent, our hamburger and fish tacos were delicious, The fries (Luco's fries) were bomb! Thick potato wedges with the perfect amount of crunch. Our bill with a burger, tacos, 2 beers, and a drink came out to $47 USD which is perfectly acceptable. Would definitely come here again.
Fish tacos were extremely bland. Not salted or flavored. Fish and shrimp ceviche were okay, what you expect and nothing more. Very expensive, food is not worth the price tag. Over $130 USD for five entrees. Good customer service, very friendly but the food took awhile to come out. Only accepts Visa and Mastercard.
Came here to eat some Mexican cuisine near our resort. The food was great! The service was awful. We were the only people there at the time and the people working acted bothered that we were there. The restaurant was hot and the tables were sticky. The main problem though was the prices! I think we were probably scammed. We had guac, a beer, a margarita, ceviche and a burger and some how it came out to nearly $100 usd! Over all good food, but not worth it for the price and the service.
I found some notes on my visits and wanted to include them. Guacamole and chips - hands down the best I've had. (My husband and son agreed) Strawberry Margarita (premium)- sooooo good. I'm not sure if it was made with real strawberries, but it tasted that way! Lemonade - very good and refreshing. Beef Burrito - this was really good. Chicken Fajita - husband said it was really good, but can use some "sauce"? Fish tacos - not bad, but I agree with the other reviews. Def better things on the menu. So, this was our food experience, but I gotta give you all the info. While waiting to order and waiting on our meal to come out, I was reminded of the first cruise we took years ago. There was this big clock on deck that read, "Do you know what time it is?... Who cares you're on vacation!" Go in with that mindset, and you'll be ok.. i.e., there's a wait time. You're outside, even if you're inside. There's no AC, just an oscillating fan. Dress accordingly. A couple of birds walked through the front door to check things out. This sounds like the beginning of a joke, but really, they just walk through the front door and then walk right back out. This seems to be pretty common at many restaurants here. It was kinda entertaining while waiting. Everyone was super nice and we really enjoyed our meal. Will return!
I just wanted a casual place to dine that still had good ambiance. The waiters spoke English, which was a plus for me as a tourist. This place had the best chicken fajita I've had in my life. The portions are huge and I shared some of my food with my partner. They were packed with flavor and had a lot of pepper which I didn't know that I loved on my fajitas! The fish tacos were battered. They were pretty good, but I'd pick something else off the menu
So I was hoping I would be able to give this place a good review but I can't. Or order was wrong first off. We ordered a chicken burrito and a fish sandwich and they brought us the chicken burrito and a steak burrito.... the the bill, this was the most expensive meal we have had here in Cancun so far....wait for it....$53..... no not pasos, US dollars. The burritos were decent but NOT worth $53. Needless to say I would not recommend this place.
Overcharged me by over $50. First weird feeling was the waiter asking if I could pay in cash because he wanted to have change for tips later. That sounded strange... When I said I would like to use CC, he asked if I could pay part in cash and part on card. "Like at least $50 so I'll have enough cash to change tips later". That sounded so weird. My wife (not feeling things were off) said "I have cash!", at the same time I said "no - I don't think I have enough cash". So he brought the credit card machine over & said the total (like $240 or so), and was surprised when I said to put it all on the card I handed him. A night or 2 later, I noticed the restaurant bill was only for $175. It looks like the waiter was trying to overcharge our party & pocket the cash he thought he tricked us in using. But when I handed him a card & no cash, he didn't want to charge us the correct/lower amount, which would be a dead giveaway. Not sure if the restaurant in a whole is dishonest, or just this waiter (working on Oct 3, 2023). They stole my money - hopefully this review helps others - double check the bill & check the math. I tried to dispute with my CC company, but even with a pic of the bill (geo-tagged to that restaurant), the CC company denied the dispute.
Wanted to give more stars to this place but they totally dropped the ball. The deck and water view is nice, and it's priced relatively okay compared to other places on the hotel zone, but that's about all I can say on a positive side. Agree with everyone calling out slow service -- it's slow. Very slow. We waited for probably 20 minutes after we were seated for someone to approach us, and the place was not busy at all. We ordered fish tacos and a burrito. Fish tacos are very far from being authentic, it's basically a fish chip you'd find in a typical British pub on a tortilla shell with a side of chipotle mayo and pico de gallo. While it tasted alright, it's very far from being unique or something I'd go out of my way to try. Burrito was also nothing special and it was done wrong too. We ordered it with rice and no beans, instead it had no beans and no rice but lettuce instead. When we called it out fully expecting them to remake it their "solution" was a side of plain white rice (not even a Mexican rice). Umm, okay? Didn't make a fuss about it but definitely won't be coming back, nothing to catch here.
Food was really good. We just wanted a break from the okay resort food options we had for lunch. I ordered the shrimp tacos and my girlfriend ordered the guacamole. Portions were better than expected, but the shrimp came with a lot of breading (wouldn't have minded some slaw). Sauces and pico were good. We enjoyed the atmosphere. You enter a restaurant that looks like a big hut and big surprise, it is. We had three iguanas hanging out on the deck with us over looking the water. We sat at the countertop table overlooking the water and even though we experienced some ants, it wasn't bad. Lets face it, you're outside, under a canopy, by the water, it is kinda expected. Waitress was meh, we received our food quickly but were left without drinks many times. I feel, you shouldn't have to constantly flag your waiter/waitress down for a beer when the restaurant isn't packed. We eventually walked inside for our ticket and had another drink due to before mentioned service issue. We spent about $50-$60 USD on lunch total, could have easily been more. 4 stars- it did the job, nice for lunch, no frills, nice atmosphere, good foods

This was my FAVORITE restaurant in cancun mexico. Best place you will find. During my trip, i went many times here. I was impressed every time. The beef hamburgers are HUGE and juicy. Definitely recommend it. Also, the chicken fajitas are just amazing. I took it twice. Nothing negative to say. Prices are affordable and inexpensive for the size of the plates. Finally, the service was quick and friendly and the staff is so caring. Arthuro (the man who served us) made sure our order was perfect, he was very kind. You will love it. I've been here twice already during my trip! Great food and wonderful service. Located next to an Oxxo, in the south side of the hotel zone. Also free WiFi! They hand you the WiFi info along with the menu. It is a bit pricey, even when converted to USD. They do take card. We got the mixed (fish and shrimp) ceviche and fish tacos the first time. Tacos come with 3. More than enough food! Also got the Michelada, which tasted delicious. Perfect spiciness to beer ratio. The mango smoothie my boyfriend got was decent. The second we went, I got the shrimp tacos and shrimp ceviche. Get the shrimp ceviche you won't regret it!! I preferred it over the mixed ceviche. Justen got the angus beef burger, which was very tasty as well. I can just tell how genuine and sincere the servers are. They greet you and refer to you respectfully and I appreciate that in people working this industry. They don't haggle for a tip, but be sure to leave one! read more

My husband and I were so tired of eating at our hotel so we literally came here 3 times. The fish tacos were everything to me! I ate them all 3 times.. the service was a bit slow but I'm a New Yorker so I'm used to fast service. I will be coming back here every time we come to Cancun. read more

This place was excellent. It's a hole in the wall with a beautiful view. We had a few iguana visitors on the deck which the staff kept shooting away, but the truth is I enjoyed their company! The guacamole and ceviche were so so good. I liked my shrimp tacos a lot but wish the shrimp weren't fried. My boyfriend really liked his shrimp burrito (note: the shrimp inside the burrito are grilled, not fried). Best part: they accept credit cards! read more

The shrimp tacos and shrimp burger was AMAZING! I also enjoyed and loved the frozen mango margarita. It's fresh and has an actual fresh mango in it. The workers were the nicest people I've met in Mexico during my stay. Very friendly and kind. Thanks for the great hospitality! read more

Best shrimp burger ever!!! Just ask for some chipotle sauce and ENJOY! Super yum!!! Service is good and quick! Little while in the wall! I will really miss this burger ! Can't go wrong it's pretty big but good! Parking a bit tricky, but worth it! read more

We loved the atmosphere here - we sat outside in the sun on a windy day. The fried shrimp tacos were very good - huge battered shrimp with a chipotle aioli, came out piping hot. My boyfriend got chicken fajitas that he didn't love. There were a lot more peppers and onions than chicken, it was a little bland, and perhaps was not made fresh. Service was friendly but a little slow, which I think is the norm in Mexico. I think they add gratuity to your check, FYI. We would give this place 3.5 stars if possible. read more

As meatloaf song goes 2 out of 3 not bad. Guacomole was fresh, fish tacos were decent size. Fajitas sadly would bad starting with not provided any tortillas in my to go food. I have made better fajitas with old El Paso seasoning mix. This was on top of the credit card supposedly not working though no signs stating cash only. Place is chill and gorgeous as got that jimmy buffet feel. They also serve breakfast. read more
Our Air B n B host recommended this place to us. While it was a bit more pricey than we were expecting, the food was top notch. The view of the lagoon was breathtaking, and after we sat down, the owner was quick to offer us beers. With a cold can of Modelo (for me) and Pacifico (for him), we watched the lagoon ripple and the sun set. We ordered ceviche and shrimp tacos and fish tacos. Everything was freshly made- you could just tell. It was insanely good. I can't express how fresh the shrimp was, the crunch of the fried outer layer, the homemade soft tacos, etc. You need to go for yourself. After 4 beers and our ceviche/shrimp and fish tacos, our bill was 575 pesos. That's about the price for a cheap place in the USA, but the quality here was fantastic. Couldn't ask for better service or better food, or a better view. read more

The food is pretty cheap considering other restaurants around the Hotel Zone. It is okay food with a limited menu. I got the loco shrimp pasta which is a pesto spaghetti with shrimp. My husband got the burger and fries. The fries were excellent! What we did like about this place the best? The pina coladas, the atmosphere, and getting talk to the owners. :) read more

Delicious fish tacos in the hotel zone. 19.6 is located on the lagoon side of the strip. A casual place with mainly outdoor seating. The tables have an umbrella if you'd prefer shade. 19.5 offers burgers, tacos, salads, etc. my 2 friends and I had lunch away from our resort 1 Day during our New Years trip to Mexico. My friend and I shared the shrimp tacos. The shrimp were deep fried with a batter. (It appeared to be a cross between tempura and beer battered). They were very filling and delicious. Our server was attentive and ensured that we had everything that we needed. The bathrooms at 19.5 are located below closer to the lagoon. (My description may make them sound fat but they are not). Check out 19.5 if you want a quick and casual lunch. read more

My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate my birthday and Valentine's Day. Our server, Jeffery, was very kind and even gave us a rose. He ensured we had a view of the water, a nice candle lit dinner with great drinks. Highly suggest! read more

Ok, so on the scale, this is a local eat-in awesome place. Great setting, indoor and out. Patio. All is very well kept. Order the fish tacos. They are awesome, and 100 pesos for 3. Get a beer and sit and watch the sunset. I haven't found much to dislike about this place. Fast, easy and delicious on 19.5. It's well worth it. The servers are friendly as is the owner and his wife who take immaculate care of the place. read more

We were greeted with the obligatory hand sanitizer, which is recognized as customary these days, but after that felt like family. Only one other couple was there upon our arrival, which at first is disconcerting. But soon realized it was a blessing as the place was full when we left. Traditional margaritas were perfect and the salsa was ahhhhmazing! Fresh and perfect. Hubby had delicious beer battered shrimp tacos and was completely satisfied and full. My chicken burrito was more than I could finish but grilled and seasoned to perfection. The servers wore smiles behind their masks, and were attentive without intruding. It is an open air tiki hut casual atmosphere, and I would definately recommend to everyone. read more
