The waitresses are always friendly and attentive, and their restaurant is clean as you would expect during lunch hour. This is one of three primary local restaurants and you will learn quickly where the cowboys, hunters, loggers, fishermen and other regulars sit to talk. If you enjoy a rich decadent gooey brownie with a generous portion of vanilla bean ice cream, this will be the dessert for you. They also had Key Lime Pie, sizzling Apple Pie and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Treasure Camp Restaurant is well off the beaten path, but the food makes the drive worthwhile. If you have a boat you can also arrive that way. There are some cabins, but we did not look at them . A boat ramp is adjacent to the Restaurant and Store. After your meal you can stroll along their dock. This Restaurant has a Chiefland address, but is well outside the town. We drive from Dunnellon about an hour away, we were told that they have frequent diners who come from Crystal River and Homosassa Springs which is even further. Most people would not make this trip unless the food made it all worthwhile. We would definitely make the drive back here again!
