Happened to be passing by. This is an amazing joint. Big dogs perfectly cooked. Looked as beautiful as they tasted. Took home an order of buffalo wings. Totally tasty even after the long ride back. Sadly I'm not in the neighborhood as I'd love to go again

We tried this place with a couple of our friends. Fairly small place with just a few tables, but it's centered in the town of Westfield. They have self service kiosk where you could order at the counter if anyone is standing there. We ordered a hotdog, burger, chicken sandwich and Rangoon fries Cesar fries. Prices are pretty average was slightly disappointed with the size of the burger . The fries were interesting and flavor wise was pretty good . We didn't have to wait super long for our order. If you're walking around town, it's not a bad place to stop in and try.

Small, quaint location in Westfields downtown area. The food was decent. Limited menu, with no substitutions, it was a fried hotdog. Not mind blowing, not bad. I like hotdogs so it was good. The fries were advertised as tallow fries due to the tallow beef oil they are fried in...tasted like regular fries. Not worth the price in my opinion, but if you want a hotdog and are in the area, it will be good food.

I finally got to try one of my favorite places in their new location-Westfield, NJ. It's right in the downtown action and it's perfect place for a bite to eat. I loved the May specials-The Birria Burger, The Birria Dog and Fundido Fries! Chef Danny does it again by fusing the delicious Birria flavors with the classic American burger/hot dog. Make sure to check out their loyalty program!

A decent dog that didn't quite live up to my expectations. I read the dogs are cooked in beef tallow so I was expecting the hot dog to be glistening from the fat and perhaps have a bit of blistered skin. Mind you, I didn't order the dog "well done" and perhaps that was my fault. I got the pork/beef hot dog and it was standard. It was a big hot dog though! The bun wasn't toasted and I'm not sure if they offer that? I didn't see it listed. I ordered the Hot Honey Pimiento hot dog from the Special menu. This is not the pimiento I'm used to it. I tasted only cream cheese. It seemed cream cheese was scooped onto the dog and then yellow cheese was pressed into it versus the "cheese" being seasoned and mixed together. All-in-all, it didn't meet my expectations. I was expecting a more elevated hot dog. This is a little place with about 5 tables that seat 2 people each. The interior is black and white and perhaps it's the decor but I wouldn't want to sit and eat-in. The room was on the cooler side. They don't have condiments out but you can ask for them and they did offer them. No napkins on the table but they do give you some with your order. The lady at the counter did offer to help and I found her welcoming enough. Not warm and friendly but she made an effort.

Had to add the Westfield location. Saw this place pop-up on Instagram, looked it up, & was super excited to learn that they had a newer location very close to home. A small venue where you order at a kiosk in the heart of the downtown Westfield area. Metered street or lot parking is all around you. They have a simple vibe, staff is very friendly, explaining their monthly specials & way they do things. The food was delicious!! We each made our own custom dogs. One with sauerkraut & potato sticks, the other with chili, sweet onion, & red relish. We also ordered the Double Cheese Burger. Soooo good. Also, for hot dogs you can choose whether you want pork or beef. The fries are fried in beef fat (even though we didn't get them), & the dogs are fried for a crispy exterior. 100% sure I will be back. So many fry options I wanna try. Overall A+ experience!

Great hotdog. Great service. I really liked the quality of the toppings and hotdog was solid. I got my old school, truck toppings and they were spot on. Clean space.

Dude, those hot dogs were amazing! The ramen one was packed with flavor, every single bite. And that candy bacon peanut butter dog? Whoa, it blew us away! The peanut butter and candied bacon were a perfect match, way better than we thought! We washed it all down with Mexican Coke and Coke Zero. Took off one star because the tables were kinda dirty, but otherwise, the food and the place were awesome. You order at a kiosk and then they call your name when it's ready.

On #NationalJoeDay @BigDudesBigFoods took our favorite Joe to #WestfieldNJ to visit another popular #SmallBusiness for a @1950originals delicious lunch. Since we are still in March, we took advantage of the final days of the March drops. Joe and I got the "Bangers and Mashup" hotdog special topped with mashed potatoes and peas along with the "Corned Beef and Hash" fries . We also got the "Throwback Burger" with melted white American cheese , crispy potato stix, pickles , diced onions , mustard, ketchup, and creamy mayo, all served on a martins potato roll. #1950Originals is long, narrow shop in a very nice area in a town with a cool vibe. #BigDudesBigFoods #SupportSmallBusiness #BDBFCertified #BDBF

OMG! I've been dying to try this place since they came into town and finally did. My boyfriend hates hotdogs and doesn't even like the look of them if someone else is eating them. I had to take advantage of him not being with me at the time. The girl behind the counter was so sweet and suggested I try the dog with pimento cheese and hot honey. I took her up on that suggestion and was quite pleased. As I waited for my food, I sat at a table behind four maybe preteen boys. They were so cute saying things like oh my God this crab Rangoon fries are so good and bro you really gotta try one of these. It was so cute. I knew I was in for a good meal. I received my hotdog wrapped to go and could see that there were three globs of pimento cheese placed on the hotdog. I kind of spread it out with my finger so that I wasn't eating a whole glob and a bite. The hot dog was cooked perfectly and the topping was interestingly good. I will definitely be back and I want to try those crab Rangoon fries. It is definitely a nice addition to downtown Westfield.

    Easy ordering.

It's my second time here. The birria dog is a seasonal item but it was off the charts delicious. Also had the peanut butter dog, which was interesting in flavor. The Rangoon fries were yummy! I would definitely come here again. Food is delicious!

I've wanted to try 1950 Originals for a while and was excited when they opened up a location in Westfield, which is closer than their other location. I'd say it mostly lived up to the hype. The food was excellent, the people were very friendly and I like that they take chances with their menu. It's just hard to justify paying almost $7 for a hot dog and $9 for a burger (even if they're both quality) when New Jersey is filled with more affordable (and in some cases better) hot dog and burger joints. Am I glad I finally tried them out? Yes. Would I go back? Probably not unless one of their seasonal items really caught my eye.

Finally made it! This place has been on my list for a while. It did not disappoint at all. I loved everything!!! I need to bring all my friends!!! The decor is unique, black and white 50s tv feel. The person at the counter was really nice. Wish I remembered their name. I need to bring all my friends there and also looking forward to the monthly special. Food sooo good. Every bite was so delicious! Oh also, the dog I chose was the pork and beef dog which I loved.

Tiny portions and not worth the price. The flavor just wasn't there--nothing memorable about the burger or sides. Wouldn't go back.

Good but not sure if I'd travel back for a 45 minute drive! Parking is difficult but that's the way the town is in that area!

Amazing milk teas and fruit flavors (i love the almond milk tea, and strawberry fruity tea). The atmosphere is cozy which is great in an era of everything turning fluorescent and cold. But every door that closes gives us an opportunity to go somewhere else. Cafe Teasia this arctic Sunday night during the fallow holiday period was surely spartan ,modest in size and devote. There was a fellow with a backwards baseball cap on speaking with another someone far away on a laptop, mimicking the illusion of companionship. Another pair playing at the same human game we all play at was doing it in person as a couple or couple to be or two who were to have but these evening. The beau or fella was brashly loud which soon grew charming as I recalled when I used to try to wow girls with tales of meditation tricks and bragging I'd be dead in 2031 when the next Avatar comes out (or the equivalent in my time). So here I was coming in out of the cold playing the same innocent game for human connection. I wish I could warn him that her politely laughing may not be a good sign! Or maybe assure him it is - ah, but who knows what love is or indeed even what fun is. All i know was the last joint wasn't putting out any such vibe. Ah the severance. So I got two coffees to go because that's what coffees are for. But I also got my first ever "bubblentea". The mango bubble tea had these little pearl-like bubble balls that mash like tiny grapes in your mouth. Delightful candified moment. But here's what I'll always remember. The second i walked in, the cashier warmly greeted me and welcomed me with but three patrons here on a Sunday night - and the heat was out. She wore a coat. I didn't remove mine. Our breathe was nearly white but you know what? Not nearly so cold an experience as the last joint.
