Food was so good that I completely forgot to take a picture... so here's a photo of my garbage instead. Not trying to be rude at all, that's honestly just a sign of how good the food looked and tasted. By the time I remembered, it was already gone. The place is small but very clean, has a nice laid back vibe, and the people working there are super chill and friendly. Everything felt fresh and made with care. Definitely one of those spots you don't overthink, you just eat, enjoy, and plan your next visit.

If you're in the mood for an affordable smash burger done right, this spot is it. Every burger is cooked to order they are so fresh, juicy, and customizable in so many ways. They come on the most delicious, chewy poppy kaiser buns that make every bite feel special. The sides are just as impressive: piping hot onion rings and fries, and their chili cheese fries are perfectly melty without being greasy. Super friendly hospitable service and retro interior with lots of cola decor. Cute spot for a date or a quick bite while heading south. Heads up it is cash only and their parking is tucked away in the back which is hard to spot off the corner.

I didn't even realize that I've never done a review of this place. I have been coming to White Diamond since 2006, so I have a time tested history with this place. It's a small old school diner venue, with a kinda awkward parking lot. It's sits on the corner of a major intersection. This is truly your old school American diner experience. Friendly & personal service, they actually will talk & joke with you here. Cash only, but there is an ATM on site. No frills, no fuss, just great food. If you're looking for "healthy," "organic," "vegan," or any of these other "new age standards," then this ain't the place for you. Like I said, it's old school & I love them for it. I highly recommend stopping here if you have the chance. Grades: Jersey Burger: A++ Fries: A+ Onion Rings: B+

Had a great experience when I came here for lunch with my husband. The two staff members we came across were friendly and helpful. Never a had a poppy seed bun for a burger but we both enjoyed our meal. We will definitely return and try the sliders next time around. P.S. This is a cash only establishment.

This place truly has such a nostalgic kinda' blast from the past kinda' feel to it. From the exterior of the building to its interior decor, this 1945 establishment is clean and updated but has kept its old-time feel. The owners are the cooks and are super friendly and funny from the door... they seem to treat everyone very personably and comically. Now here's the sad and hard part... and why we will never come back. The food was just okay tasting but the service from kitchen to table left a lot to be desired. The food was plated on tiny paper plates and the server was literally gripping our sandwiches with his bare fingers in the bread. Fries were served on large plates with his gingers literally in the fries. The bread top fell off two sandwiches on the table and he picked them up and placed right back on top of our sandwiches. It was gross and he didn't even know it and didn't even apologize for it. This was a terrible dining experience that I really wish didn't happen because I so wanted to like this place. I honestly can't tell if it was just a bad day or if this is the standard of service overall but my impression sadly is that this is just the way things are here. Very old-fashioned, but very little hygienic consideration.

Very good, and unique burgers. Fresh poppy seed roll enclosure, and lean, flavorful patty. Fresh lettuce and tomato topped mine off. Access to parking looks tricky if you drive by going West on Central avenue. Take the narrow driveway immediately to the left of the small diner. If coming up from the south on Raritan Road, pull into the lot behind the diner. It is worth the trip, and it is an old-fashioned experience that still is worth it.

To round out 2019, a double cheeseburger on a hard roll with extra pickles.

They're not many places like this left. Growing up we had a White Diamond sited where the Wine Library is located. On my folks 'date night' dad would pick up a sack of cheeseburgers for us and the babysitter. How this spot has survived astounds me. Corner location, yards from the GSP, surrounded by mega billion dollar chain competitors-God bless them! It's damn tricky to enter and exit, but you're rewarded with terrific sliders. Prices have crept up, but I like to support and tip the independents. The poppyseed roll on my double California burger? Superb!

I'm always torn with places like White Diamond. I really love the ambiance of places like this-old school, greasy spoons. Love the pretty simple menu, the old signs, the grumpy cook, and the really nice woman taking orders. They were ranked as having the best burger in Union County so I had some expectations here. I went with some co-workers at lunchtime, on a Friday, so I also expected the place to be packed. Was pleasantly surprised the place wasn't too busy...and the very nice lady behind the counter wasn't frazzled. I ordered a chili-cheese dog and the #3 - a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a drink. The chili cheese dog was tasty, (they use Sabrett's and grill them) and the chili was good, but probably wasn't homemade. The onion rings were your normal, frozen and fried rings...so they were tasty, but weren't impressive. I chose poorly on the burger...not because it wasn't delicious, but because it was on a nice kaiser roll and I SHOULD have gotten a double. The burger was just a bit too small/thin for a single. I love that they put this on a Kaiser roll, but had I been here before I would have gotten the double. I broke down and had a second dog with mustard and kraut...the second dog got them the 4th star-very tasty. I wish this place offered shakes, but it's REALLY small. So I get it. I can't say they have the best burger, because I really don't have a lot to compare it to in Union County, but it was very good. They only take cash here-so come prepared.

One of the few breakfast and burger joints left in the area. Walk through the door and you'll travel backwards about 30 years. Back when burgers were on real buns, fries were NOT designer and the waitress calls everyone honey. Best burger or bacon and egg on a roll you can find anywhere! Stop in for some great food and a smile from Tammy.

I called in for a big party, and they did an excellent job with the table-setting & location. Secondly, the food: Their apps are absolute winners. Our table got the Bavarian Soft Pretzel ($12) and the 12-piece wings ($22). Both came out hot and full-of-flavor! Both were excellent with a cold beer. For my main, I actually got a special which was not on their main menu. It was a Fajita Burger served with (you guessed it...) fajita fries. I added jalapenos for an extra kick. It was very good, but the buns are quite thick, so I actually just ate it with the bottom bun intact. The burger patty itself is quite thick which I enjoyed in this current smash-burger phase our world is currently in. Don't sleep on a pub burger. For dessert, it was one of our friends birthday, and as you can see --- they decorated it nicely! Not "they", sorry, Sara - our waitress - did! She was such an awesome server, and communicated very well. Awesome experience + awesome setting + awesome food! Thanks Paragon for doing what you do!

The menu changes daily so don't go back expecting to get the same thing you ordered the last time. To be quite honest of all the items I ordered two did not stand out although sounding promising The lobster roll, the bread was mediocre and the filling was scarce. The pizzette was also ehhh. Nothing impressionable. However the oysters, fully dressed and ready for consumption were pops of freshness and flavorful jellies exploding in your mouth. The corn was a nice touch. The mussels were in this sauce that was to die for. Full of garlic and creaminess paired with about 3 slices of sourdough bread perfect for soaking. The crostini appetizer, drooling thinking about it. Prosciutto with honey and mozzarella is the best combination.now for the chicken Milanese. Perfectly crisp with tomatoes I'm not sure what they put in the salad but delicious! Overall it's worth a happy hour with great deals. And even the dinner entrees are worth the visit. Third time back will be soon.
