What a great bistro for all your meals. We had lunch there & were delighted that the menu was such a variety that we could hardly narrow it down to only one choice. We both got the rice bowl with the shrimp, avocado, pickled red onions, corn & black beans. The sauces are excellent for savory or spicy. This is a quaint bistro with ample seating & would be great for girls lunch or a group gathering for a nice meal. My husband enjoyed the rich flavored coffee & I enjoyed the tres leche cake. It's a triangle from the outside. This is BOMB Venezuelan arepas and we have been here at least three times, and sit in the same spot. That's how much we love it. The arepas we get are the pabellon(shredded beef), and the Dona Aura is my FAVE. It's the best of both worlds steak and shrimp. These arepas are filled to the rim with bursting flavor. Just eat it with the wrapper around it so it doesn't get all on your hands but know you will enjoy its every bite. The owners are 1 Chick who is so friendly and her bro(chef) and many of the girls ringing up are their family so a great Venezuelan family business. Just found out that 11 Chicks Venezuelan food in St. Pete by Central is their sister. There, they have arepas too and label them on the menu as each chick. My husband and I ate at 1Chick 1Bro last week for lunch and we were so impressed with the flavorful food. I've never tried anything quite like it before and we can't wait to go back again. He had the pork, I think it was the #4. I enjoyed the #15 steak and grilled shrimp with avocado and pickled red onions. Hands down, AMAZING!!!! I haven't had food this good and satisfying in a long time. I have always been a huge fan of 11 Chicks (also amazing), but we moved over to the west side of town. My husband and I ordered the #3 arepa (Pabellon), the Venezuelan Criollo bowl, and the empanadas. Everything was delicious! These days, when we go eat out, the food is good, but 9 times out of 10, not worth the money and you're still hungry when you get home! This place was worth every penny!!!
