Yum yum roll
Sharlene F.

This place was recommend by a friend as her go to spot so I had to try it out. I was recommend by the owner to get the yum yum roll because it included spicy crab and jalapeño. The sushi roll was okay. I would give it a 6.5/10. The presentation was not the best and the baked salmon on top was chopped into different size and it was not soft how the baked salmon usually is. I am sure it might have been because it was late at night but this roll was about $15 dollars and it didn't truly satisfy my sushi craving. I might be back another time maybe earlier to try something else.

Treasure Island- it was not very sturdy and feel apart but was good

Sushi was wonderful and owner was very polite and helpful. This is somewhat hidden gem as it's on Central but we have driven past it unnoticed for a while. But if you want sushi this is a great option

Went for lunch with some friends and had a great experience. The decor is really simple. Almost no decoration but it let the food do the talking. We had a Red Dragon roll, a Ming Ming roll, Soy Sensation roll, some spring rolls, and Miso soup. The food was well prepared and well presented. The waitress was very aware and when we added on some other things she was on it. I also liked the green tea cheesecake for dessert. We will definitely be back.

Boba tea and sushi all right here. Kind people and an authentic feel. I spilled my drink and they made me another, I didn't even ask.

This is a true hidden gem! From the outside you would never know the great sushi they have! The Thai tea and the mango boba tea were fresh and great! For the sushi, we got 3 rolls and the seaweed salad and alllll of it was delicious! We had the prey mantis, red dragon, and UFO roll! By far the red dragon was our favorite 200% reco The service was good and attentive! The ambiance could be better but the food stands for itself!

This is a pretty good place. We've been here a handful of times and as long as their prices maintain, we'll keep going back. They have some really good rolls, and the people that run the place are really sweet. We typically get the number two because we get some inari and a roll and it's a pretty good value, and we really like the roll and inari. Then we usually get a couple other rolls, and we're set for dinner for about $30. I will warn you, if you add anything to a roll, jalapeno for example, be ready to pay an additional $5 or so. They charge a LOT for extras. That said, they have just about anything you want in their rolls, so just stick to the menu and you'll be fine.

Oh my goodness it was so nice to come back here after 8 years and it still looked the same We sat down and our server brought a huge book of all the sushi rolls they offered and also some appetizers. We ordered two spicy tunas and a fancy roll I forget the name of and also we got a taro boba tea, they make the sushi to order and the boba they shake themselves no fancy machines here all hand work. The food was just as good as I remember. we ate every bite.

10/10 recommend this sushi restaurant! The staff were incredibly kind & the sushi was delicious. Only took 15 minutes from calling for our large order.

I stopped here after paddle boarding at the war veterans memorial park close by. I was the only person there at 4:30 on a Saturday. The staff was very nice. It is located in an unassuming strip mall. I had a hot green tea and one cooked and one raw roll. It was a lot of food. I had to bring most of it home. Next time I would only order one roll. I would also go without the sauce that was drizzled on both rolls, almost tasted like a teriyaki. They have a lot of selections and the staff was nice and helpful. Pretty presentation!

Ming Ming Tea Cafe is a St. Pete hidden gem! I was looking for a stand out sushi place without exorbitant prices in the area and fell across Ming Ming. DELICIOUS sushi and great prices that you can't beat elsewhere in the area. The rolls are also huge! Boba was solid as well. Service is friendly and provided recommendations when we couldn't decide. The restaurant itself is super cute and they sell tea/additional items as well. We will be back!

It's in a plaza that might be hard to spot or park in but if you are in the area and want reasonably priced sushi that is phenomenal, go here. It's a small restaurant owned by a couple who also run the restaurant. Me and my friend split another roll and they were all very fresh and huge !! For a smaller establishment they have quite the variety on their menu. I am not the biggest fan of spicy and their rolls all have spicy Mayo which is spicer than most places I have gone. It's very very good but I would ask for less on my rolls next time or a side. The rice was fresh and cooked very well. The roll pictured on the right was honestly the best of the three rolls I had. It had a fried fish on it that honestly was to die for. Inside they also have some items for sale such as tea pots and an assortment of oriental goods. This place is a local favorite and hidden gem

Very cute sushi/cafe near TI. I've heard great things about place and was excited to finally check it out and it was very cute. I got the Thai Coffee boba and it was so tasty! I can't wait to go back and try the sushi!

Our favorite sushi in St. Pete! Great service and incredible quality. The price is fair. Lots of options! We love a good Boba tea too.

They are massive and delicious, plenty of options to choose from too! My favorite was the Florida cream and almond cheesecake, French toast was fun too! The dough of the donuts is soft, pillowy, delicious and weirdly enough gluten or bread items usually hurt me, but weirdly i had no issues having their donuts . Their Ube coffee was a treat, unusual, delicious and not too sweet! The vibe is so cool, but not really a sit down spot, more of a pickup spot. The service is exceptional, friendly, attentive, quick and overall enjoyable an experience. I love this place and cant wait to try other seasonal flavors . Go check them out, you wont regret it!

I will say, it is on the expensive side at around $8 a bar but the quality and taste is worth it. Just be prepared to spend if you plan to get multiple items. To start, Maddie's Cakes indicated that it opened at 5pm, leading us to believe that it serviced the late-night coffee-and-pastries crowd. Baked in the Burg opens at 10am and closes at 7pm, and has a very different vibe than what we were expecting. The pastries are definitely meant to be the star of the show, but they were mislabeled (labeled as chocolate pistachio but only chocolate was available), and the baristas knew very little about the product. Speaking of the baristas, although they were very friendly, they clearly were woefully lacking in training. I ordered a chai tea, and one of the baristas asked the other, "Do you know how to make that?" Additionally, my mom ordered a coffee, and when she asked if the brew coffee sitting on the hot plate was fresh, the barista answered, "It was made this morning [seven hours prior to our visit], but it's been on the hot plate." My mom had to ask for a fresh pot to be made, because apparently no one told these poor girls how disgusting coffee is after seven hours on a hot plate. To their credit, though, they were extremely friendly and accommodating, and did their best to answer all of our questions. I just think they need more training. As far as the pastries are concerned, we were so disappointed that we ended up going to Sorrento Sweets right up the street. Skip Baked in the Burg and head to Sorrento's if you want a high-quality bakery experience.

We went straight to Chiki Churros, a spot that is known for delicious freshly made on the spot churros as well as ice cream, drinks and milkshakes. They have a tv screen that leaves you drooling (like an eye appetizer - eye-petizer?) and while they're made and prepared right in front of you, your nose ends up going through a food comma with the cinnamon and sugar aroma while your eyes feast on all the toppings and fantasize about when YOUR turn to eat churros will be. Because we were so stuffed from our food, we only opted for the 6 pack of churros so we could enjoy one each with the two dips option. Naturally we chose Nutella as one of them and Dulce de leche for the other one. The churros were nice and warm and fried to perfection while the nutella did its thing a coated the outer layer of the churros as they got dunked into that little pool of delicious hazelnut spread and went straight to your taste buds so they can do a little happy dance. We loved our little dessert night cap at Chiki Churros and all the bright and colorful walls with churro wall of fame decor. Fun little spot to get your dessert fix, next time would love to get the mini churros with toppings - looks soooo good!

Each time I've just gotten the 3 churros 1 dip combo for a well earned $6 (usually dulce de leche dip though I want to try the fudge next time as I'm not a huge nutella person but it feels like they should go with chocolate). There's actually a pretty extensive menu with lots of dips and toppings, ice cream, milkshakes, etc but I don't know how anything can be better than the classic formula. Churros always come out warm with a perfect crisp on the outside and soft inside. couldn't ask for anything more. Pretty small inside with some stools to sit on but they also have an outdoor area in the back with several tables. It can get a little crowded inside but usually I'm too distracted by the cinnamon sugar bliss to care.
