I got the salmon sashimi with maki rolls (it was one of the "specials" listed in the front of the menu) as well as an additional roll. Pros: - VERY fresh fish and authentic sushi! I would not recommend getting baked rolls here - the strength really is in the raw fish. The salmon sashimi was perfect and the cuts were generous for the price. - A very family local feel inside - I legit felt like I was in an auntie's living room - The service was really nice - we got a free slice of matcha cheesecake for spending $50 - delicious hot tea that pairs well with the sushi - People get upset about the "presentation" and the "aesthetic" but really you should be coming for the fish. - Lots of options and combos that are affordable - we left extremely full and didn't feel like we paid a kidney for it. - Easy parking in front during lunch. - Perfect fish to rice ratio in their rolls. This place was recommend by a friend as her go to spot so I had to try it out. I was recommend by the owner to get the yum yum roll because it included spicy crab and jalapeño. The sushi roll was okay. I would give it a 6.5/10. The presentation was not the best and the baked salmon on top was chopped into different size and it was not soft how the baked salmon usually is. I am sure it might have been because it was late at night but this roll was about $15 dollars and it didn't truly satisfy my sushi craving. Went for lunch with some friends and had a great experience. The decor is really simple. Almost no decoration but it let the food do the talking. We had a Red Dragon roll, a Ming Ming roll, Soy Sensation roll, some spring rolls, and Miso soup. The food was well prepared and well presented. Incredible find...after all these years of going nextdoor! Alesia is great but this little hole in the wall opened up an entirely new and unexpected experience of sushi. A couple of lovely women create the best combinations of fresh fish along with mouth-watering ingredients and all within very reasonable prices. This is a pretty good place. We've been here a handful of times and as long as their prices maintain, we'll keep going back. They have some really good rolls, and the people that run the place are really sweet. We typically get the number two because we get some inari and a roll and it's a pretty good value, and we really like the roll and inari. Then we usually get a couple other rolls, and we're set for dinner for about $30. I will warn you, if you add anything to a roll, jalapeno for example, be ready to pay an additional $5 or so. They charge a LOT for extras. That said, they have just about anything you want in their rolls, so just stick to the menu and you'll be fine. read more

Oh my goodness it was so nice to come back here after 8 years and it still looked the same We sat down and our server brought a huge book of all the sushi rolls they offered and also some appetizers. I stopped here after paddle boarding at the war veterans memorial park close by. I was the only person there at 4:30 on a Saturday. The staff was very nice. It is located in an unassuming strip mall. I had a hot green tea and one cooked and one raw roll. It was a lot of food. I had to bring most of it home. Next time I would only order one roll. I would also go without the sauce that was drizzled on both rolls, almost tasted like a teriyaki. They have a lot of selections and the staff was nice and helpful. Pretty presentation! read more

It's in a plaza that might be hard to spot or park in but if you are in the area and want reasonably priced sushi that is phenomenal, go here. It's a small restaurant owned by a couple who also run the restaurant. Me and my friend split another roll and they were all very fresh and huge !! For a smaller establishment they have quite the variety on their menu. I am not the biggest fan of spicy and their rolls all have spicy Mayo which is spicer than most places I have gone. It's very very good but I would ask for less on my rolls next time or a side. The rice was fresh and cooked very well. The roll pictured on the right was honestly the best of the three rolls I had. It is about 3.5 stars. Since the food is almost the same pricing than fast food, I would recommend this place rather than fast food. Ming Ming has many low budget sushi combo. I can see why the young people love to visit. We got the number one combo. It have sixteen pieces of sushi and 5 pieces of sashimi. Very good deal. For under $10. We also got the spicy crawfish roll. Both sushi are good. But not a fan for the sashimi. We also got two boba. A coconut and a honey dew. I think this can be skip for the reason the boba is not sweet boba. Food come out quick. Ming Ming Tea is my new favorite sushi joint. Until now, I was a Sushi Kabuki girl, but this little gem has become the new sushi king in our family. The sweet couple who owns it are so kind and welcoming. When you become a regular, they will learn your name. They have a lot of interesting rolls that are delish! Make sure you try the Crazy Mango and the Ming Ming roll. Just incredibly fresh. I am not a tea drinker, but my 17 year old son is a completely geeked out loose leaf connoisseur of teas. They travel to Asia to personally pick out their teas that they sell. Last time we went, he refused to sell my son any tea because he said, "Fresh tea is coming next month with my wife." I'd been meaning to try this spot for a while and although I loved and I mean loved the ming Ming sushi roll, I was sadly disappointed in the Thai coffee Boba. OK so the sushi roll first off was a beautufully crafted roll with the perfect balance of crunch, fish, rice, sauce and punch of lovely subtle flavors and might I add the amount of sushi you get for the price, lets just say they aren't shy! Very happy with the quantity, you get your money's worth, very filling. The Boba tea, well what can I say the flavor was not bad but not earth shattering either. I personally think it could use more ice, and more Boba pearls but my biggest challenge was the straw. Within 2 minutes of sipping it deteriorated since its paper. While I commend their desire to be earth friendly, it defeated that purpose (waste of paper) and kept me from drinking my tea. Worst part I didn't even get one pearl through this straw since it fell apart which made me sad. I legit was craving a good Boba hence my trek out here! I would say the interior is alright, could use a revamp, if the owners are interested id say instead of pictures that do eventually fade might I suggest hiring local artists to paint murals on the upper green portion of your walls of illustrated items, it could make an awesome selfie wall and give the place a boost. If you're interested reach out, I know some amazing local artists. All in all nice pick up option for sushi and the locals who seem like regulars all walk in to excited and smiling, so that definitely says something :) read more

Visited on a whim when I was finally in this area. I have had Ming Ming Tea Cafe saved for a visit for the longest. I did not try the boba but the sushi was amazing! I had the red dragon roll and the black dragon roll. I don't like cream cheese and mayo in my rolls and was glad they had such a big variety of rolls to choose from. It's a massive menu with lots of pictures, which I appreciated. The rolls were delicious! And huge. Definitely get your money's worth. The red dragon has shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, spicy crab leg, cucumber, and onion. The black dragon has avocado, cucumber, crab leg meat, BBQ eel, roe and is made with black rice. They were both really good and fresh tasting. And it didn't fall apart when I picked them up with my chopsticks! Service was friendly and fast, I was the only one dining in when I visited. Ming Ming is what I would call a locals only type of biz for sure! I dined here for the first time and watched as each person coming in after me were greeted by name and welcomed back. It was totally awesome. The sushi menu they provide you with when you dine in, is a literal picture book. So fun! If you're unfamiliar with sushi rolls I can't help but think this would be particularly useful. I noticed a lot of rolls come with cream cheese which is a huge no for me, but I'm sure you could simply ask them to omit. I ordered a specialty roll called the Sunrise roll, with tuna, spicy tuna, avocado and krab. I didn't realize it came with spicy mayo, otherwise I would have requested that to be held. I also got the Salmon and Mango Roll. Loved the sound of the combo. It was alright. The fish portion was preeeeeetyyyy petite I would say. My friend ordered the vegan rolls and was very satisfied. The prices are shockingly low-it is reflected in the amount of fish you actually get. Overall solid little sushi spot. I really loved the feel of a true mom and pop shop. This is a nice little place with some seating, but seems better for take-out than dine-in. They have a variety of rolls. Many include tempura shrimp so it is good for people that liked cooked rolls. The sushi with raw fish didn't have big pieces of fish, but this was somewhat made up for by the interesting combinations. We enjoyed the rolls with mango, in particular. Fairly priced and relatively quick service mid-afternoon. They also have a wide variety of interesting tea leaves for sale in packages to brew at home. The only thing we were not a big fan of was the pickled ginger - it didn't taste quite right. Also, for take-out, it would be great if they labeled the boxes because we couldn't tell what was what. Not a big deal for people who eat everything, but others with restrictions or allergies might need to know. Would also be nice if they could add the full menu to their website. My granddaughter had a craving for BOBA tea for her birthday, so we stopped in to Ming Ming after our trip to the Imagine Glass Museum on our way home to Treasure Island. She got her Strawberry (and another for her Mom) and I picked Vanilla from the list of choices. While waiting, I also picked up a package of Iron Goddess Oolong tea from their selection of Chinese tea. When we got home, we enjoyed this treat while my granddaughter opened her birthday presents. This place has been on my list to check out for awhile and was finally able to grab some takeout today. We got sushi and miso soup. Sushi wasn't great, not much fish and lots of rice. To be fair, I did order the lunch special which was 3 rolls for $10.99, but I would rather pay more and get more fish. Spicy tuna was ok, salmon and mango was not as good with very little fish and mostly rice. Miso soup was a bit bland and just ok. Maybe their tea is what really sets them apart?
