While the salon appears to be clean the service is poor. It took over 2hours for a regular manicure and pedicure. The man that gave me my pedicure must have just gotten out of school. He did not know what he was doing. He would go back and forth and did not follow proper procedure of a standard pedicure. I am sorry to say I'm done coming to this salon.. There's always a rush to get my nails done or miscommunication on what I want because I get stuck with someone that doesn't know much English. This time around I got a French gel manicure. On one nail I asked if she could make the white tip a little larger so it doesn't grow out too fast . She definitely looked annoyed said OK, but kept wiping white gel off, so I just said okay to everything because I was already uncomfortable.. for $40 I would Atleast like even white tips and smooth edges. We made appointments for 9:30 in the morning for manicure and pedicure. I had my pedicure, which was a good experience. While my feet were resting in paraffin, the nail tech started on my manicure which consisted of her asking me to reach over and put my fingers Into a bowl of plain water. She then took one hand out, commented that I had cut my nails. I told her well they were getting too long, so I cut them. She then took one hand, cut a little bit of the cuticle. then she did the same with the other hand. In the meantime would appear to be a regular customer of hers who had an appointment came in for a full set. She then took my second hand and cut a couple of the cuticles off. And then she told me I could sit there and wait. She went over and took care of her customer that was having a full set. My companion was done with her pedicure and manicure, and I was left there still sitting never having a complete manicure no filing of my nails no complete cutting of my cuticles no cuticles softener no soaking my fingers after the cuticle softener was placed as there wasn't any placed. And she called that a manicure. Needless to say, I complained to the owner and was not charged but yet I came to the shop for a pedicure and manicure. I had a 9:30 AM appointment and I left without a manicure. This was my go to shop when I lived in Bradenton for 3 1/2 years. I did not see any of the same people there I believe it to be under different ownership. The owner was very apologetic though I do have to say an offer to have somebody finish a real manicure for me but at that time I was too pissed off and left. I went in to have it fixed. 3 days after that, two more of my nails split, again, way down. I decided this wasn't for me and went in to have them remove the gel and do a regular manicure which was HORRIBLE. She didn't even get all of the gel polish off my nails! There are some nail stylists, just like hairstylists, or any other artisan--- that you will follow to the edge of the earth. My one such person is named Ia, and I have followed her over to Bella Nails. Sometimes extremely talented individuals and creative geniuses are hidden away in small towns for various reasons; whether it is family obligations, modesty, or just simply avoiding stress and looking for a more simple life. I do not know, and it is really none of my business, why Ia chooses to stay in Bradenton when she could easily bask in the lights of New York City. However, I am extremely and genuinely grateful that she is conveniently located in Bradenton, available for an appointment, and willing to be creative at a decent price at Bella Nails. Also, this is the first time that I have seen a nail salon run like a well-oiled machine by the head manager, Rose. She is like a manicuring cyborg genius, wearing a headset and directing the entire team while doing nails at the same time. She is the master of social media, and keeps the business going strong with excellent customer service. No wonder Bella has been voted best nail salon two years in a row. The interesting thing is; even with such a great staff, clean salon, and service--- the prices are very low and you are not rushed through your appointment. SCAMS CUSTOMERS! I called prior, to check procedures & prices, given Covid guidelines. They said $15 for a regular manicure. When I paid, not only was it $20 for a REGULAR manicure, the woman who did my mother's nails, painted ugly flowers on her nails, without asking. (She thought it was complimentary.) Then they charged me over $25....just for her! My regular manicure lasted exactly 1.5 days, then it chipped & fell off. (I was not doing anything strenuous either.) When I asked why they overcharged & added unnecessary flowers without asking, they shrugged their shoulders & vaguely said "oh. sorry". It seems rather hard to find a place in Bradenton that does threading instead of waxing, but Bella Nails does. I looked at their deals online, and was hoping to get their One & Only Bella Signature Package -- European Facial, Signature Pedicure, Shellac manicure, and eyebrow wax or threading -- but unfortunately they were booked up for facials and wouldn't be able to do it that day. I appreciated the honesty and set an appointment for 4pm for a mani/pedi. The atmosphere was cheerful and bright, with many women seated getting pedicures and chatting, and regulars were clearly recognized as they came in, which is always a plus -- there was a mother and daughter who had clearly been there often and were greeted happily. I wound up getting my nails done by Rose, the owner/manager, I believe. She was very good, very happy to chat about anything, and teased her employees like good friends would. The manicure was well-done, the hand and arm massage very relaxing and my skin felt really good after it. I'm always wary of doing bright red polish, but this has stayed as vivid as the day it was painted on, and hasn't cracked or chipped at all. Given how much I abuse my hands by baking, fishing, and other such things, this is a miracle. The manicure deserves four stars, as the only thing that bothered me a little was the divergences into Vietnamese conversation. The pedicure was really comfortable: the water was hot but not painfully so, the chair comfy, and the lady who did the pedicure (not Rose) gave a lovely leg and foot massage that left me relaxed and with my feet smelling pretty. There were a few things that weren't great here, though: it was hard to communicate with the lady (which, not really either of our faults there), and she didn't clean up around the edges of the paint all that well. That said, the service was really good: for example, the girl next to me found the polish she'd selected turned more brown than she'd wanted when it dried, and the lady doing her pedicure didn't mind changing it halfway through. There was no sense of being rushed anywhere, either. This held true for the threading. The lady doing the threading wasn't as good at it as I'm used to (or maybe I'm just spoiled?), as there were a lot of broken threads and the occasional finger-in-eyeball, but she wasn't rushed, and she was thorough. Just the discomfort of the occasional bit of skin getting caught in the thread as well as the hair, and the eyeball-pressure (she didn't have me stretching the skin or holding it still for her) was awkward and a little more painful than I'd have liked. Still, it was an overall-positive experience, just with a few bumps in the road. To sum it up: Depending on who you get, the customer service ranges from 5-star to 2-star. The manicure was great, the pedicure a little less so, and the threading not so hot but at least thorough. The place is very busy, but doesn't rush you. The employees are mostly Vietnamese, so occasional side-conversations in Vietnamese can be annoying, but it's overall a pretty good place. read more

This was going to be my first pedicure in Florida. I looked at reviews and websites and landed on this one. I saw on the website they had Sunday hours and made an appointment for 1:00 pm. Shortly thereafter, I received a confirmation email saying all was good. I left my house only for this appointment so when I parked an walked up to a dark and empty storefront, I was pretty livid. A handmade sign on the door said due to COVID, no more Sunday hours. I get that establishments need to change things during this time and I am happy to be flexible, but there is NO reason I can find acceptable to not make the change on your website and appointment calendar. Now after reading additional reviews, I won't try again. And by the way, I emailed them yesterday to tell them about my experience. No apologetic email or phone call. If I could give 0 Stars I would. Horrible experience...this was my gel manicure right after I left. LITERALLY seconds after. Can't believe my nail technician thought this looked even half decent. AND this was after I asked him to fix 3 things (paint on my skin, rough edges in my nails, etc)...so ugly and unprofessional. Will not be back and definitely not recommending. The woman who started doing my daughter's nails had never obviously done dipped nails before because they had to be redone not once but TWICE. The second time by another nail technician. They tried to say it was a "color" problem- NO it was an UNTRAINED technician problem. My daughter has always gone here but we will not be back. And she had picked out a light purple shade but ended up with a color closer to black that she was suppose to be happy about. In a school environment you would pay $20 for someone to "learn" on your nails and perhaps have three hours to just hang out in a salon. The fact they still charged $45 for her nails is not only poor customer service but the fact that they allowed an untrained tech to do the manicure in the first place is a joke. read more

I go here whenever I'm in town visiting my mother, and usually its great. But today was a big turn off. It was crowded, and it felt like there were shortcuts all around. They sat me in a chair, and stuck my feet in cold water, and then no one came to work on me for half an hour. Unpleasant. I asked for a spa mani-pedi, and they forgot that I wanted the spa and the mani! I realized this, but decided to just continue with a plain pedi, as I had already been waiting so long. When I come here, I'm treating myself after a long day at a nursing home. I'll choose a different place next time, because this is not the experience I desire. read more
