no where on the "menu" they handeded me did I see any (let alone a $16, higher than normal) upcharge for gel in a pedicure. either way, I was shocked when a 30 minute pedicure cost me SIXTY SEVEN dollars. especially since all my nails are different length and shapes, there's somehow a large amount of polish on my feet and I feel like I hardly got a service worth paying over basic pedicure prices for. read more

This is my first time doing a dip manicure at Expo nails on my natural nails and I couldn't be happier. In my experience with dip manicured at other salons, nails lift, break, or chip around the edges; but almost 3 weeks later my manicure is holding strong. Came in for a powder style nail with extensions. Asked if they could do pink to white ombré and they said yes. Two hours later I still have to pay full price for the worst looking nails I've ever seen and I'm bleeding in four different places. My friend who I went with had a similar experience and we went directly home to fix it with regular nail polish. Look, if you can't do ombré that's fine but at least tell us so we can pick something that won't look terrible! And we still had to pay full price at 50$ each. The service was good but what's the point if the product was a disaster?? Update: I thought that at least the acrylic nail itself would be fine and I could just paint over it but no. The nails have started breaking in under a week! Unbelievable. My mom told me she had a similar experience at this nail salon- worst one in town. read more

I walked in and explained that I needed a pedicure and a manicure with dip powder. Near the end of my pedicure I was informed that all of the technicians were busy and that I would have to come back the following day to complete my manicure. I was asked why they couldn't complete the service and they told me that the manager was off and they were just taking customers with no system. This is THE MOST unprofessional nail establishment that I have ever visited. Save your time. Go someplace nicer and more professional. In addition to this, the polish job was messy and the polish appeared to be old as it had bumps in it. read more

My technician gave the worst dip manicure I've ever gotten. He didn't do any work on my cuticles or even push them back. When buffing, using the filing tool, and shaping my nails he nicked and burned my skin several times with the tool, to the point where I pulled my hand away because it was painful. This happened well over half a dozen times during my manicure. The shaping ended up uneven, sloppy, and not what I wanted at all. If that wasn't enough, he smelled of cigarette smoke and coughed up phlegm (without a mask) directly onto my hand. He was pushy and unprofessional. Got a gel manicure here because of the convenience of the location that day. Will never again. My gel manicure began to peel within a couple of days. I have never had this happen before and have gotten gel manicures for years. I told the owner and there was no apology only a "don't worry, it's just nails." He did say they would fix it and I made an appointment to do so. Show up to my appointment and am waiting, waiting, waiting. Finally I just ask the owner to do it himself as he was just sitting at the desk. He does and then i'm out of time to get it put back on. I come back again to get it put back on and then- it peels the next day! Yes, it is just nails as the owner continuously pointed out, but it is also time and money which I do not like to waste. Not rating the service itself but the guy running the counter. Tried to get a walk in appt for my wife today, and the guy running the counter said they were busy to and to come back in an hour. I asked if we could just schedule an appt at that point for an hour from then and he said no just come back in an hour. If the idiot wasn't going to take down my name, number, etc, how could I be guaranteed anything when I come back in an hour? Vietnamese young owners moved family from Dallas, and brother and sister also work here. Good job but expensive for area. Basic mani and pedicure $42 when everyone else is $35. I've been getting pedicures and having acrylics on my nails for well over 20+ years. NEVER have I ever gotten a funguS! I noticed a big green spot on my finger (thankfully I had a light colored polish on and it showed through) when I painfully removed the acrylic, there was a very big green fungus growing on my nail bed! Today, I removed the toe nail polish from a pedicure done 2 weeks prior by a different tech and noticed I have a fungus spot on my big toe! Clearly there is a major proper sanitation situation going on here. I'll pay to go have the nails removed elsewhere. read more

UPDATE: I went back today and they had Lily redo my nails and they look so much better! I'm much happier and will just make sure I request to have only Lily, Vuu, or Nancy next time. I've been going to expo for the last 6 months now and I've always had a decent experience until I got stuck with Kevin. DO NOT let him touch you. His hands are gross and dirty and he's rough. I also showed him a picture of what I wanted and asked repeatedly if he could do it with dip powder and make it matte and repeatedly he said yes. It was a matte nude to neon ombré with tips. The whole time he jerked my arms around into painful positions and never once apologized even when he cut my finger with his Dremel file. There was glue ALL over my finger tips when I left and it was the worst my nails have ever looked from there. They are uneven, lumpy and bubbly in addition to being the worst powder dip I have ever received. If they can't do something they should say so. I really wish I would have read reviews before going to have this done. I'm calling today and they will be fixing my nails since I paid $50 plus a $10for them!! read more

It smells so clean and not like chemicals like all the other salons I have been too. The people are all so friendly and nice (start a conversation with them!) The owners are husband and wife and are so sweet and want to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. They are the most clean nail salon I have ever been in and they are the same price as most salons in Sarasota. (Good pricing!) Clean is most important to me! Have never been dissatisfied here. Very friendly, great selection of colors. The service was so relaxing. I had the hot stone massage since they have 20% deal going on now. While the one girl started on my feet another started on my hands. Fingers were dry by the time my pedicure was done. At the end received a card, after 5 visit another 20% off, very nice compared to other salons. Also they said when I come back let them know my name and they will set aside a clipper and file box so I always get the same stuff. Will definitely go back. read more

I had asked if they could give me a polish change and I didn't have much time, so I asked if they could get it done within 30 min or should I come back? They said "yes, no problem, sit down". So the lady started to do a manicure and I said "I only have time for a polish change". Then it was almost like she was moving slow on purpose to annoy me. It took an hour when I clearly told them at the beginning that I only had 30 min. Then they tried to charge me for a full manicure and I said "AGAIN, I only got a polish change". So they took $5 off and I think it was $25 for just a polish change. I will never go there again. read more
