Unfortunately, I didn't have the great experience of most reviewers, the reason I chose 1st Choice. Appointment times weren't respected and other vehicles took priority over mine. My interaction with them took 2 1/2 weeks until my vehicle was repaired; $440. They were busy when I called on August 30 to have the "check engine" light diagnosed, so scheduled an 8am appt for September 3, being told they had only a couple oil changes scheduled that day and it would take about an hour to diagnose. I left my vehicle with them the night before. At 11am, I called to inquire, but they had no info for me yet. I called again a couple hours later and got the same story, essentially being told they had been busy with other clients' cars. Around 3pm (7 hours after my appt time!) they called to say they had determined there was a small vapor leak and it was going to take 5-7 business days to acquire the part. This was a bit surprising since these days you order something and it's on your doorstep the next day. I paid for my service and the part, and they were to call me when it came in. I questioned whether the vehicle was safe to drive with a vapor leak, and was told 'yes' if I kept the tank less than half full; it was 3/4 full at the time. When I hadn't heard from them by September 12, I called, they checked, and yes the part was in. Again, they were busy with other repairs and unable to work on my vehicle until September 17, again making an 8am appt and leaving my vehicle the night before. As before, I called around noon to inquire and was again essentially told other vehicles were being serviced before mine. Around 2pm (6 hours after my appt time!), they called to say the vehicle was ready. In retrospect, it seems they take on far too many vehicles than they can repair in a timely manner. I have no proof, but it seems as though the 5-7 days to acquire the part was actually just them putting me off until they could get a handle on their work load. Am guessing that some of these 5-star ratings are from the customers who received fast service, while my vehicle was put on the back burner. read more

My 2018 Silverado had the notorious lifter failure and I took it to John and his team at 1st Choice Auto. He had worked on my truck and my wife's 2017 Malibu in the past with great results. He ended up replacing all the lifters, the VLOM, resurfaced the heads, did a valve job and replaced the thermostat. Truck has been running great so far... At first it was okay then the lady behind the desk accused me of taking something some fuel stuff or transmission products they have I was bird sitting their just reading she got worried out and looked in my bags I've never felt so weird before she goes we got cameras told her look I don't have your products . I explained I was only reading how the products worked that's all . After that I felt so uncomfortable I left and went to get food came back my cars pulled up out front then waiting for them to get paper ready was another wait also they handed me my bill that was fine they did a inspection of my vehicle and didn't even go over anything with me explain anything I won't be going back to this business I wish I would of delt with john he was just getting there when I was about to leave seems like a very nice man as far as who's working in the front no good I I gave the one star for don who fixed my car and john would mark higher for them but then it shows on yelp as the company read more

I've been coming here for a little while just for regular oil changes and I my brakes were making a terrible noise so I took it in to have them check it out well for starters they said it was the back breaks and I needed those replaced not to worry about the front and that they didn't have time to do them even though I dropped my car off at noon and they didn't call me till 4. Anyways I go get my car and they say they have to call me to schedule to come back to replace my brakes. She said I would get a call during the week , never heard back. So obviously I took my car somewhere else so they could do my brakes well turns out it wasn't even my back brakes it was the front ones and they were wearing my rotors down!!!! I had no idea if I would've gone longer it would've done excessive damage. So I had to replace the front brakes and rotors. I don't know what happened but obviously they never even CHECKED my brakes. I took my new used car to 1st Choice for a new clutch. Within a week the clutch was bad again. After speaking with John I was told he would not repair with out full charge for another clutch job AGAIN!!!!!! I took my car to another auto shop who found that the new clutch had BAD parts and parts were put in inCorrectly I contacted 1st Choice for refund of bad clutch job. I will now be filing in small claims court. Shops need to be held accountable for their work!!!!!! read more
