My family member had been scheduled in the AM for a transport to a facility at 2:30 pm. That number was pushed back hourly, finally at 8:30 pm we reached out to the Case Manager who had a soul and agreed to reschedule until the daylight hours and temperatures were not single-digits outside let alone the overnight shift at the facility would be receiving them, etc. I would suggest that you look elsewhere for transport. Emergencies or delays do occur however this egregious disregard for the patient's well-being as well as lack of professionalism in scheduling are evidence that this company is not equipped to provide the minimal level of medical transport that should be received in 2024 in the US. It is interesting, they flout on their website that they have "proprietary software to maximize the number of on-time transports..." As I understand, this is very commonplace with this company. As their current President, Jason Hess states on the website: "We are the choice of so many not because we are perfect, but because we know we aren't perfect; yet we pursue perfection each and every day." On Friday, 12/13/24, Penn Medical transport picked up my cousin from McGregor to take her to the viewing. She rode alone with the driver. No family members were with her. On the way back from the Viewing of her Mother, the driver had an accident. My Cousin fell out of the Electric Wheelchair on to the floor of the Van & the Electric Wheelchair Fell on Top of her. WHY? Because the driver was negligent and DID NOT STRAP Her in. She now has Broken Bones in her Ankle & has a Cast on. **And not able to attend her Mom's Funeral on 12/21/24.
