The bedroom door lock was replaced with an ornate old lock/knob that came with a skeleton key. The door lock never worked. Last week my son called me saying that he had problems getting out of his bedroom. The door lock was getting stuck. I live in Westchester not too far from Manchester Lock & Security. I always go there to get keys made. Years ago they even fixed the key ignition switch on my car. I went in on a Friday and inquired about having someone come out to install a new door knob with a key. I was given a card with a number to their dispatcher to call to make a service call. I called and spoke with Ramon. He told me that he had an opening for the following Monday between 9 - 12. That Monday, I called to confirm my appointment. Mick arrived around 11:50am. I showed him what I needed to have done. Mick got right to it. He show me the closest doorknob lock set that would match. He started on the installation. He also put the door plates back on the door to hide the old knob hole. He cleaned up and was done within 50 minutes. My son and I are very happy with the new door knob/lock.

This new key did everything except open the trunk. Initially, I said ok let's see if I can work with this. Tony assured me he would guarantee his services and repair anything if I was not satisfied. I called him back and let him know I really needed that remote to open the trunk too. He said no problem he would order a new key and try to remedy the situation. I waited the first day after our conversation and he did not contact me, so I called him the next day. He said he would have the key the following day which was a Saturday. I called Saturday he had not received the new key so we set it for Monday. Monday nothing happened. So I call again Tuesday he said he would be out. He never shows so I called and at this point, he says he is just going to take back the key, give me my money back and give me back my old FOB. So once again I was going to be keyless. He said I could go to the dealer. Now I was very patient and kind with this man. This man expected me to accept mediocre, he did not care that I would be left without a key and he told me I could just go to the dealer if I didn't want to accept this key that did not open the trunk. It was obvious he did not wish to take the time to program another key and troubleshoot to make certain it would open the trunk. He treated me awful. He would not even try another key. When he arrived I asked why he could not or would not at least try to remedy the situation? He said he would have to run a diagnostic and that he did not wish to touch my car or be responsible. Now what that had to do with the key I don't know. He said that he would be losing money. He asked for his old receipt back, gave me my old key and my money back. I told him this was not good business. To not even try? He drives around in a brand new Mercedes Van and he obviously has big money and more important jobs than my little key. He was arrogant and so unprofessional. He obviously has made it big for himself and has forgotten where he has come from and how he got there. Me being a woman alone disabled and looking for someone to help me and him with a POMPOUS attitude, he just DID NOT CARE! Plus I am a Black Woman. I guarantee you he would not have done this to his own. Not ever. I even told him that this was not cool and he would not want someone to do his wife or daughter this way. So I am without a key and back on the search for someone who can come out and make me a key that is not at dealer prices. I would not ever recommend this man. He obviously does not need our little money because he quickly threw back my $200 cash so he would not have to remedy the problem as he had promised he would do, as he drove off in his brand new Mercedes Van leaving me stranded and keyless. He also did not keep his word. Not at all! I think we need to take back our neighborhoods and communities and open up more Black businesses that cover all sectors. I am not prejudiced but I do believe I was definitely discriminated against today because there was no reason for this. So I will be an advocate to push, promote and support black businesses in our communities. I try to be fair but I straight out witnessed some serious nonsense today! Overcharged and company wont issue a refund…read more I was locked out of my home and called this company after being misled by their positive reviews. They told me they had a nearby technician who was only 10 minutes away. When the technician arrived, he stated that the company-set price was 500 and insisted that I pay in cash. Afterward, I learned that the typical price for the service I received is around 150-250. understand emergency locksmith services cost more than standard appointments, but they chargedmore than double the reasonable market rate including late night surcharge. I contacted the company to request a price adjustment because I believe I was significantly overcharged. After three days, they offered only a 100 partial refund. To this day, I have not received any additional refund. They also told me I would have to contact the technician directly to recover the rest of my money. The explanations I received were completely contradictory. The company claimed they only keep a 25-30 referral commission and that the technician received the rest of the payment. However, when I spoke with the technician, he told me he is paid an hourly wage and that the company kept the remainder of the money. Either the company is being dishonest about how payments are handled, or they work with technicians who are. Neither explanation inspires confidence. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage anyone needing a locksmith to choose a different company. There are many reputable locksmiths who provide transparent pricing and fair rates.

For the rekeying service, Lupe came with his mobile van and was able to change all my locks without any issue. Lupe is a master at his craft and is friendly, accommodating, and efficient in preforming it. For the copies I went to the store and Tony made them extremely fast and precise. It was much faster and better than the auto-kiosks you will see in home improvement stores. Quality: My rekeyed locks work great and the copies were flawless. Great quality.
