Several months ago a friend gave me the number to ASAP Lock & Key and recommended we call them to help us re-key the doors and garages at our new rental property. I had never used a mobile locksmith before so I was a little thrown off by how much it cost, but decided the convenience was well worth the price. Bob came out and he was just the nicest guy! But I didn't know they had a brick and mortar location until today! After failed attempts to get some special keys copied at Home Depot, Lowes and ACE Hardware, I decided to bite the bullet and call ASAP to see if they could make copies of my keys. When I looked them up (on yelp this time) I learned they weren't just a mobile locksmith but had an actual brick and mortar shop next to Dinah's! AWFUL SERVICE! Don't use! Being locked out is VERY STRESSFUL, especially when your wallet and cell phone are locked inside the house. Guy on the phone said he would be there in 30-45 minutes. It was more like 1 hour, 15 minutes- no, traffic was not an issue. He quickly got me into the house. Thanks. I then gave him my credit card to charge me the OUTRAGEOUS amount of $200. Yes- it was an emergency, but he was very late, and it took him 10 seconds to get into the house. I was already 2 hours late for an appointment I had to go to, and this guy's credit card machine in the van did not work. He tried for over 10 minutes, and I told him to STOP!!! Seriously, in 2024 you have no device that works so a frantic customer can pay you???? Instead of just saying, "Sorry, I'm going to give you a freebie today"-- he demanded that I drive to an ATM machine on the other side of town and give him cash! So after 2 hours, I now wasted another 40 minutes after he opened the door, for him to fiddle around with his broken credit card device AND THEN having to drive to an ATM for this guy. UNACCEPTABLE! The copied keys bind and did not unlock. I returned to ASAP the next day and explained that the copied keys stocked and bind.
