My purse was stolen at the Riviera Village Trader Joe's the day before Thanksgiving. After canceling all credit cards my husband immediately called ASAP Lock & Key to rekey our home doors. The owner promptly came. He charged $240 to rekey both regular and deadbolts in our front and back doors. We were very relieved and grateful because my house key and driver's license were in my purse and concerned about security. We would definitely use ASAP Lock and Key again. read more

I have used ASAP Lock & Key multiple times. Both Bob and DJ are very responsive and communicative. I just used them again and there were all different types of jobs, lock repair, key duplication, cutting of a lock and other types of issues my various doors. I've been coming to ASAP to get all my keys done. They're quick, reliable, honest and knowledgeable. I took advantage of their mobile service to have them help me with my office locks recently. Bob is super knowledgeable, steered me in the right direction for my needs. Yes you can get duplicate keys anywhere like Home Depot but you won't get the personal knowledge they have. read more

My mom has been going to them since the 1980s and she's the one that recommended them to me. The are absolutely top notch when it comes to being professional, fast, efficient and returning calls. Every single time I go there it is 100% a perfect experience. They are always pleasant and professional. Several months ago a friend gave me the number to ASAP Lock & Key and recommended we call them to help us re-key the doors and garages at our new rental property. I had never used a mobile locksmith before so I was a little thrown off by how much it cost, but decided the convenience was well worth the price. Bob came out and he was just the nicest guy! But I didn't know they had a brick and mortar location until today! After failed attempts to get some special keys copied at Home Depot, Lowes and ACE Hardware, I decided to bite the bullet and call ASAP to see if they could make copies of my keys. When I looked them up (on yelp this time) I learned they weren't just a mobile locksmith but had an actual brick and mortar shop next to Dinah's! It's close to my home so I popped on over, got my keys made in an instant and left happy to know I never have to go to Home Depot to get keys made again! read more

Should have done this review sooner but this is the place to go for all your key issues! Call in advance to see if they will do the heavy duty stuff but you can just walk in for the little things. Lighting fast service! Amazing customer detail! No fuss! No Hassle! Wish I got his name, but it's his business and he knows how to work it. I'll be back! AWFUL SERVICE! Don't use! Being locked out is VERY STRESSFUL, especially when your wallet and cell phone are locked inside the house. Guy on the phone said he would be there in 30-45 minutes. It was more like 1 hour, 15 minutes- no, traffic was not an issue. He quickly got me into the house. Thanks. I then gave him my credit card to charge me the OUTRAGEOUS amount of $200. Yes- it was an emergency, but he was very late, and it took him 10 seconds to get into the house. I was already 2 hours late for an appointment I had to go to, and this guy's credit card machine in the van did not work. He tried for over 10 minutes, and I told him to STOP!!! Seriously, in 2024 you have no device that works so a frantic customer can pay you???? Instead of just saying, "Sorry, I'm going to give you a freebie today"-- he demanded that I drive to an ATM machine on the other side of town and give him cash! So after 2 hours, I now wasted another 40 minutes after he opened the door, for him to fiddle around with his broken credit card device AND THEN having to drive to an ATM for this guy. UNACCEPTABLE! Shame on you. read more

We came here and got our locks re-keyed. Service was fast. The guy in the booth worked on it as soon as we got there. $30 He was able to make all three of our locks similar so we only had to use one key. Next time we need to make a new key, we'll be coming here. read more

Needed a couple of copies of Baldwin keys made for our home. I provided my key to make the copy not knowing by key was already a copy. Arriving home, I tested each copy to test its fit. The copied keys bind and did not unlock. I returned to ASAP the next day and explained that the copied keys stocked and bind. DJ measured my key and cut out a new 'Master' key and made 2 additional key all with no charge. Happy I used ASAP! They are the go to key service in my neighborhood of Westchester. read more

Misleading Pricing, Inflated Quotes, and Property Damage: Avoid This Locksmith at any cost…read more We chose this company because they were listed as Yelp Guaranteed, and we trusted that this designation meant the business had been vetted and was reliable. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. Antonio initially provided a price range of $55-$120. Before booking, I spoke with Antonio directly and confirmed multiple times that $120 was the absolute maximum we would pay. I also asked what would determine whether the service was $55 versus $120. Antonio explained that using a tool to unlock the door from underneath would be on the lower end, while picking the lock would cost more. After the service, Antonio denied ever providing this information. We were told a technician would arrive within 20 minutes. Instead, we waited outside for over an hour while repeatedly being told the technician was "5 minutes away" despite continued delays for over an hour. When technician David arrived, he claimed our lock was a "commercial lock" and immediately quoted us $480, despite the maximum price we had confirmed with Antonio. When we asked why it was so much higher, he refused to explain. When we said we would call another locksmith, the price suddenly dropped multiple times: from $480 to $350, then $300, and finally $200. The fact that the price changed so dramatically simply by pushing back raised serious concerns about the legitimacy of the original quote. David ultimately unlocked the door using a simple long-reach tool under the door, not any complex lock-picking process and not anything to do with the "commercial lock" he was claiming, and left black marks and damage on the wall next to the door. When I contacted Antonio afterward about the issue, he initially claimed we had contacted the wrong company and asked us to call him. However, once on the phone, he immediately knew who we were and began discussing our complaint, contradicting his earlier statement. We are currently working with Yelp Guarantee to request a refund and reimbursement for the property damage caused during this service.
