She inserted a single plastic dowel visibly sticking out of the cake, as if that would somehow fix the issue. She left the venue knowing it was unstable, took the check, and walked away without a care. Unsurprisingly, shortly after her departure, the cake collapsed. It had to be caught on sheet pans to prevent a complete disaster. What makes this experience even worse is that when we tried to contact her afterward, she showed zero accountability, offered no apology, no refund, and was completely heartless during every conversation. When we attempted to engage publicly, she turned off commenting on a Facebook post about assembling our cake, as well as blocked my husband and I, effectively silencing us and dodging any public responsibility. Her attitude and actions speak volumes--not just about her lack of professionalism, but about the type of business she's running. A wedding vendor should be someone you can trust.
