We purchased some footlong natural casing weiners from a favorite butcher store in NE Wisconsin to bring back to Tomahawk for a holiday gathering with nieces and nephews. Needless to say very few grocery stores carry footlong hotdog buns and said they couldn't make them for us. I called Kreger's and told them our story and need for 18 footlong hotdog buns. They could not have been nicer and any more accommodating than they were. We told them when we needed them and they were ready and packaged as we requested. We got a great bonus with the order too. The buns we have gotten in the past from a store near the butcher shop have been OK but they were much larger in diameter than a traditional hotdog bun and frankly there was too much bun. Sweet roll was pretty good, the icing tasted homemade We also got a loaf of what looked like our would be a fantastic list of homemade bread. However, it was just puffed air and dry bread not suitable for a sandwich. Planning on toasting it and hopeful it's better. Truly, supermarket bread is much, much better, especially since we paid $8.00 for this loaf. We love to support small businesses, and were disappointed. We drove 20 minutes out of the way to go there too. Better luck next time I hope. . read more

They said yes , you say I'm not paying $15 for donuts And go to leave and she rudely says well then go get your donuts somewhere else. I had a wonderful opportunity to taste a cake from Kreger's Bakery when my Father in Law had a birthday, and the church bought him a cake to celebrate. It was lemon curd with a delicious vanilla frosting. Now, I live in Chicago, and I have had the pleasure of trying some of the best that Chicago bakeries have to offer, and Kreger's Bakery is the cake that I keep in my mind as a benchmark of a good bakery. I have yet to taste a cake as delicious and moist as the cake from Kreger's, and I don't even like lemon curd. I tried "lemon curd" cake from Walmart at another function, and the "lemon curd" was most definitely lemon Jello pudding and it was repulsive to say the least. I'm new to the area and needed to customize a cake for a birthday party. I googled and based on the reviews ordered the cake. The following weekend I went to the shop for pick up and I was very disappointed and nearly cried because the cake looked completely different from what I ordered. They were very rude to me when I told them that wasn't the specs I ordered. They told me that they had been in business for the past 50 years and were proud of their job. I wondered how lousy the cake was--and have been doing this for 50 years? Their shop isn't tidy and their happy with their job. Terrible cake...terrible experience! read more
