I had been looking all over town for some unique ones-but alas, the ones I saw were plain and dreary. Then lo and behold, I found several here that were perfect, now I can switch them out!! I also found some wonderful hostess items, cheese spreaders, tea things and gifts. This shop is beautifully appointed and a delight to shop in, plus it's small, so you can find your treasures in a hurry. There's a plant section and a jewelry section, not to mention some lovely scented soaps and lotions. Along with the store, there's a pretty patio and the owner sells boxed lunches. The menu is online. Of course, I spend a lot of time in that part of the city since I have family there. It's a great place for gifts, especially for somebody who already has everthing, because there are a lot of one-of-a-kind things to wear or home accessories. I love the colorful cowboy hats and always see dishes or glasses I would like to have, but I've put a moratorium on buying stuff like that until I can afford a big hutch or china cabinet. I haven't ever had lunch there, but there's a really cute patio area so it looks like it would be a fun place to take a break from a hard day of shopping (or hunter-gathering as I like to think of it). I went into Jezebel's with my friend and I found a purse for sale for $4. I thought "what a great…read moredeal!" and since it was marked in yellow, I figured it was a markdown. I went to the register with my purchase and the owner said that $4 was not the correct price. I told her that is what is marked and that she should sell it for the amount listed. She said it might have been the amount that she purchased it for, but that in no way was the correct price and she would sell it to me for $24. She basically just said I could buy it for a 600% markup! This says a lot about her markup on prices in the items in her store. I said it was unethical for her not to sell it to me for $4. She got mad, said I could buy it for $4 if I really wanted to rob her, and I said I would purchase it. She then said "NO! - I would rather throw it in the trash then sell it to you!". I started to walk out, told her I was going to go on Yelp and give my review of her "service", which is what I am doing. I have never given a review on anyone else before, but this woman was completely rude and should not be in business with a terrible and unprofessional attitude like hers. I also had two other friends across the street would might have been potential customers, but I stopped them from going into her store. My advice is to stay away from this store and shop elsewhere.

I discovered the company's existence when I was searching for a stylish bridal shower gift. I came across the company web site, then headed in to 5807 to see the products in person. I was definitely impressed. The Silver Monkey collection spans pewter trays, serving bowls, servers, salad bowls, Pyrex containers, spreaders, spoons, bottle openers, and the list goes on. All the pieces can be put in the fridge, freezer or oven up to a certain temperature. So, you can chill your salad bowl in the freezer before serving your food in it, or you can actually heat a side dish in the pewter casserole container. I was really impressed with how affordable everything was. It was easy to spend around $50 and get several things that looked very nice. The other thing that's nice is that many of the items coordinate, so it's easy to get someone a matched set of a few items. I ended up choosing a long, skinny pewter tray that was inlaid with mother of pearl, a matching bowl, a matching spreader and a pretty spoon. The pieces came with care instructions and were very affordable for their upscale look. The person I gave them too absolutely loved them. This spot will definitely be a go-to for serving ware gifts in the future.
