This is a food truck located in the lot of the Northwest Carryout convenience store. I had the Quesa-Birria tacos which were good with the consome. Make sure u get the consome! The tacos on the other hand, were not so good. They were tiny & only half filled and the salsas they provide were subpar. They did provide fast service which was great, didn't hafta wait too long after placing my order. I recommend ONLY the Quesa-Birrias but come see for yourself. read more

I don't like giving a bad review, but customers need to know to call this food truck first! If they don't answer, they have probably closed early. I have been there twice during POSTED open hours, but they DECIDED TO CLOSE EARLY. I attribute this too bad management. On the flipside, I will go back there because their food is very good. Idk it was ok. Tried to order the infamous birria tacos but lady said soup wasn't ready (it's 3pm). So I went with 1 birria taco, 1 al pastor, 1 chicken. 10 min I opened the box and all 3 were the same color. Orange. Birria taco was ok. At first I thought it was beef (steak) but then seemed more like pulled pork. I feel the chicken and al pastor were just ok too. Not really Mexican tacos, more like maybe curry tacos like I needed some kind of coconut sauce to put on them. trying to figure out what the sauce is they did give me. Taste almost like a jalapeño pickle sauce not sure what to think about it. I love Indian food but this is kind of odd for me. So heads up, not your typical Mexican taco stand fare. But if you like different and up for curry tacos this is your place. Just beware the orange does stain and will be everywhere. Personally I will not be returning. Idk why it took me so long to try this place! But today was the day finally. They had a special item advertised on the window which is the birria tacos with the dipping soup everyone seems to be obsessed with lately. It comes with 3 tacos and then you can add the soup for $3. I placed my order and they said it would be about 10-15mins. I went inside the convenience store to grab a drink while I waited. Right on time my food was ready. I paid and the total was about $15 so not the cheapest but it's supporting a small business and seemed pretty authentic. The soup was quite a large size! They also included a verde sauce which was a little spicy, and another red hot sauce that was spicer. The soup was very mild, no spice but a nice warm temperature. The tacos looked great! They had a good amount of melted cheese and meat. I could barely eat two of these and I was full! I think I could enjoy these without the soup as well. Definitely would recommend trying out this place. I plan to come back and try something new. It's easy to just hit the Taco Bell drive thru across the street but I think you'll be much more satisfied here. read more

For $12 I got a fresh made massive tortas cubanas which was basically a sandwich with a big breast of chicken sliced and grilled, big thick slice of grilled ham, long sliced grilled hot dog, onions, spicy mayo based sauce, tomato, and deliciously soft fresh bread. I don't know how long 2 Brothers Tacos has been in the parking lot of the Northwest Carryout at 5th Ave. and Northwest, but I'm willing to bet it's been at least a few years. And knowing that, I'm pretty disappointed in myself for living in Grandview for two years and not ever paying it a visit, especially considering how much I seek out taco trucks in this city. This place has your usual taco truck fare for a cheap price, and everything is made right there on the spot from the lady running it. It did take a little longer to get the food, but it was well worth it. Honestly, the food was so delicious, I can't believe this place doesn't have a line and has never been reviewed before. I went with the al pastor and chorizo tacos and a pork quesadilla (my go-to when I'm first trying a new taco truck). The tacos were so damn good that they instantly shot into my top 5 in town, and I love the salsa verde and roja that you get with it. The roja is a dark red with a nice kick, and the verde is bursting with flavor. I couldn't decide which tacos were my favorite. As for the quesadilla, the pork is more of a carnitas style that is tossed in some sort of marinade and then combined with loads of cheese that all comes together perfectly. It's a bit greasy from the marinade, but it's just so tasty and filling. This is a really big quesadilla. I think I would try the asada next time, which might be a little less heavy. This truck also has burritos, tortas, sopes, and empanadas that I can't wait to try. The tacos are $1.75/each, and I think the most expensive items on the menu are $10, so it's a great deal, and you get plenty of food. The only disappointment for is that I didn't find out about it until I moved away from Grandview. It's probably for the better though, or I'd be eating here every other day. If you live in the area or are just passing through, don't be afraid to give this little convenience store parking lot taco truck a try, because they deserve a lot more love! read more

So, so, so much better than either the fast food options on 5th, or the overpriced options on Grandview Avenue. Actual birria? Lengua? Tripa? This place has it all. Its limited hours are probably the only strike against it, and it's true, it's here to serve a lunch crowd first and foremost -- but it does so with flying colors. After reading and seeing videos on Birria Tacos for over a year, I FINALLY got to try birria tacos and this place was the lucky locations that served them in town. They were crisp, juicy, tasty, delicious, and just plain AMAZING. However, the stand-out to me was the consume. You can taste all the flavors of the birria from the chilis, the peppers, the beef, cilantro, onion, lime, etc. I could slurp that consume all day. I used to take piano lessons right down the street and would stop here to get lengua, al pastor, and chicken tacos. They are the juciest, most flavorful tacos! All you need is a little squeeze of lime and you are set. I've read that now they have birria, which is trending on yelp and now has me curious, so that's just an excuse (not that I need one!) to go back asap.
