Delicious. Yum! This little taco truck is making a big name for itself. It made national news for being one of the best tacos. This taco truck's top seller is not even on the menu: a succulent, slow-cooked Tijuana-style birria taco. Yet this singular dish landed the family-owned spot on Yelp's 2022 list of Top 100 Taco Spots in the US. This highly rated taco features "tender" meat, "crispy, perfect" tortillas, and "rich and flavorful" consomé. Street-style al pastor and carne asada tacos are also popular. I had been told the famous taco was only available on the weekends, but I got mine on a Monday, so they may have changed their policy. The service was friendly and they even have an umbrella eating area next to the truck. The atmosphere is simple but they really deliver on taste.

Oh snap! I checked out Los Agavez on Taco Tuesday which happened to be National Taco Day. YelpCbus highlighted this place and I was excited to go. The birría tacos with consomme were highly flavorful. The taco shells were soft, but just hard enough to dip into and soak up the consomme. The consomme itself was perfect on it's own and I finished it up with a spoon. Yum! The manager was extremely pleasant and helpful as I decided what to order. His service was excellent and I hope to take my wife and daughter there soon. The ambience was wonderful. Is the open-mall-cafeteria style popular here in Ohio? We didn't have anything like this in Florida and I love it.

I went to the location at the little grand. The staff was very friendly and took my order promtly. I got 3 birria tacos, hot sauce and a side of sour cream. Sadly I didn't get the hot sauce but the tacos were so good and the consumme had a lot of flavor. Two tacos would have been more than plenty for me. They're filled. I will return

The hype is real. Birria tacos are on weekends only. As others have said, check the weekend specials on their socials. Birria tacos can be ordered as 3 or 5 tacos. GO. That is all.

Al Pastor, Asada & Chorizo tacos with side of beans (and canned margarita from store night next to the truck) - PERFECTION!

I am disappointed in myself for just now trying this place ... but I'll forgive myself because now I KNOW! Had Al Pastor, Asada & Chorizo taco with a side of beans and a Mexican Coke and it was PHENOMENAL! I will be back for sure ...

Decent food truck located off high street. There are some tables and benches behind the truck you can sit at if the weather permits. Carne asada tacos are $3 each.

If you know me then you know I'm addicted to tacos. I'm always looking for new places to try which led me to Los Agavez. I can't believe it took me so long to get here, I had been missing out all this time. Los Agavez tacos are out of this world. Originally I went for the birria but have since tried out some of the regular taco options as well as the rice and beans. I haven't had a single bad item yet. These are seriously the best birria tacos in Columbus, they stay crispy, the consome is rich and flavorful, and the salsas are the perfect addition. I dream about their birria tacos (which you can only get Thurs-Sat). All I can say is if you haven't been, go ASAP.

Let's start by saying if your unsure of food trucks put that aside. This is by far the best Birria tacos I have had in Columbus. They only have them on Thursday thru Saturday until sold out, so get here early. The Consomme broth is so delicious I end up drinking what was left. This had chunks of meat in it, was a very rich tasting dipping broth. So when you go and they ask if you want it, You do! Seating is very limited, at the truck and a couple benches to sit on. While I was there several customer ordered to go.

I love food trucks and I love tacos, and Los Agaves definitely met my expectations! I tried 3 tacos today and enjoyed all of them. The chorizo is pretty spicy. The al pastor comes with a thin slice of pineapple and was by far the best taco of the ones I tried. The horchata is a decent size and very sweet. The service was very friendly and quick, the prices very fair for the quality. I also loved the little seating area with the umbrellas!

I read on the 614 Now that Yelp rated Los Agavez Taqueria food truck as the 63th out of 100 best taco spots IN THE COUNTRY. That's insanely impressive! I absolutely had to go try! When we arrived, they had a sign up that they were totally out of their Birria which is mainly what I love trying at taco places and food trucks! On the other hand, I'm glad they're getting so much business that they're running out of things! We still wanted to get something from them to support, so I ordered the Torta and their homemade pineapple juice (SO GOOD) and my wife ordered the Burrito. My torta was delicious and the meat had a lot of flavor. We definitely will return for their tacos next time! They deserve the recognition and the business!

I've passed by this truck on High Street hundreds of times and I'm glad I finally stopped for Birria. It's not on their posted menu but it's a hot item: Birria tacos + the broth for dipping which they call consumme. For $13 you get 3 tacos. What a deal and they're delicious. I thought it would be awkward dipping them (think like a French dip sandwich) but the melty cheese on top keeps them contained as you dip into the broth. Definitely give this unassuming truck a try if you're in Clintonville!

Great family business with the best tacos and horchata. The food is great and with a stop.

First things first this place is really tasty, and the service is fantastic. But other than that, I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I usually have a good idea when I'm done eating as to whether it was a really good or really bad experience. This was a good experience, although if the flavor matched the presentation, it would knock your socks off. With that being said visually it's 10 out of 10 and you're pretty sure it's going to be the most flavorful thing you've ever eaten. Although taste is 5 out of 10. The birria sauce is lacking some flavor again visually it looks like it's going to be the most flavorful thing you've eaten in your life but the taste is not that way after adding the lime and hot sauce per their order it definitely kicks a flavor from a 5 to a 6 1/2 or 7 but it's still lacking something. I can't quite put my finger on it. I'm new to birria tacos so maybe this is a normal thing and I'm expecting to get flavor I shouldn't be. Rice and beans are typical Mexican rice and beans with all that being said it sounds like I'm dogging them but trust me when I say I had no problems eating every bit of it. It's definitely not bad at all. One thing thats not a huge deal but confusing the birria sauce they give you a cup and after pouring it over everything and dipping in it I may have used 25% of it. Overall will I ever be back? If I'm in the area but if the flavor matched the looks I would drive distance to come back.

We were very intrigued by the rating 4.8 stars (highest in the area) and read some of the reviews…read more We also were initially concerned by the first impression of this place; the place did not look open nor did it have any other customers. But Jafet greeted us with a friendly and polite manner and gave us a lot of information about the Mexican version of the cuisine (surprise!). We were impressed with the Michelada (with mango chamoy and dusting of Tajin) and Mezcalita (Mezcal with pineapple). So good. Step aside, Margarita! (Also not that popular or usual in Mexico) We ordered the Tacos Dorado and the recommended Mexico City Taco ("House Special") that had steak, refried beans, pickled cactus, and fries, wrapped in corn tortillas. We are amazed. Thank you Jafet, we will back for more Friday tacos!

I swear the music playing is a recording of a DJ at a wedding lol. Out come the nachos and they look amazing. He also brings a little stand for my cell phone so I can eat and watch YouTube. Never have I had that offered to me at any restaurant. His hustle, service and smile was appreciated. The nachos were really good. The marinated pork, cheese sauce, fresh chips, chunks of pineapple, sour cream and salsa verde just came together well. Bonus points for the cheese sauce. Not to mention I watched him prepare everything thru the glass counter. He's back there having fun then brings your food out with a smile. Love it. If it were super busy I don't know how he would keep up, but I appreciate his hustle. Yelp, your recommendation didn't disappoint. Ricardo, a waiter at Cazuela's Mexican Cantina in Reynoldsburg, had finished serving a table, expecting the usual--a tip, a simple acknowledgment of his hard work. Instead, he received a hateful message scrawled on the receipt, the kind that cuts deeper than words should. Ricardo works at Cazuela's only on Sundays, a second job to help make ends meet. So today, in between my OCIA responsibilities, I decided to stop by--to meet him, to shake his hand, and to remind him that there are far more good people in this world than the ones who spew hate. As we talked, I saw a man who carries himself with quiet dignity, someone who simply wants to work hard and provide for his family. I shared with him that I, too, know what it feels like to be told to "go back to your country," even though, like him, I am an American. I told him about my childhood, standing in front of my family's Crestview Market, hearing the ugly chants from passing cars--some driven by kids I went to school with. But today wasn't just about reliving painful memories; it was about something greater--the power of community, of kindness that drowns out cruelty. When I arrived at Cazuela's, I wasn't alone. Others had also come to show their support, to stand with Ricardo. He told me the outpouring of kindness had been overwhelming, and I was relieved to hear it. Before I left, I handed him my WARM card and told him if he ever needed help, he could call me. Because no one should feel alone in moments like these. And, by the way, if you ever stop by Cazuela's, their enchiladas and Mexican rice are fantastic. The chips and salsa? Fresh and addictive. And my server, Isabel--attentive, kind, and everything a great waitress should be. Some people choose to spread hate. But today, I saw so many more people choosing love. And thats what matters.
