I found this food truck on Yelp and it was a short walk away from Shasta Regional, so I thought why not give it a try. I ordered the mixed plate and requested spicy. There was no one in the little parking lot when I arrived and the food was made fresh, and took about 10 minutes. The plate was huge! Enough to feed at least 2 ppl with maybe a few bites leftover. Went here during a trip through Redding. It was only one guy and one grill lol but in all seriousness the food was tasty. Very good quality food. My boyfriend got the steak and chicken bowl and I got the chicken burrito. My boyfriend said that the rice was flavorful, the meat was well seasoned, the veggies were crisp, and white sauce tied it all together. Burrito was fully loaded in a great way. So we were in a hurry and actually ordered on Door Dash before arriving at the trucks location in an attempt to have the food ready by the time we arrived. I was a bit worried about the high prices, but the Yelp reviews are glowing and I quickly realized once we were there what a mistake it was to order ahead because there was a big upcharge and the service was fast anyway. The prices at the truck are was more reasonable and so is the prep time. We were pleasantly surprised with everything we ordered. The combo platter had good portions and everything was delicious. We also ordered a Cali-Melt with steak and although it looked underwhelming, the flavor was definitely there. I wish it had been filled a little more but that speaks to how delicious the food actually is. Don't order ahead like we did and definitely go with the combo plate if you are hungry! Don't go to the one on churn creek. Go to the one downtown. Ordered extra meat and somehow got less than a normal lamb bowl from the downtown truck? Veggies are not near as good either. I will be staying away from the churn creek location. The lamb had no flavor at all as well. It got 2 stars out of respect for the other location. read more
