While I cannot comment on every item they serve (I only order a couple favourites from the menu) they have a wide variety of choices that are sure to make your mouth water! You receive enormous portions for a reasonable price. For example, my favourite is the chicken finger meal, which is $10, a wonderful price considering the Lazy Scholar's finger meal is about $13-15 for half the portion of Tall Fry's. Not only is the food good, but the customer service is as well! Everyone who I've seen working for Tall Fry is polite! They also are quite efficient, the longest I've ever had to wait is about 15 minutes during a busy day, but on average the time between ordering and the food being ready is pretty quick! Overall, Tall Fry is the best place for a bite to eat on Queen's Campus, and I highly recommended it to anyone in the Kingston area!

I stumbled upon Farm Girl's account, and was happy to see Kingston had a food truck. Down here in NOLA, along with most of the US, it's kind of a thing. Of course, I grew up in Kingston, so I know they don't usually like to follow trends. On the other hand, we always had "chip trucks," so maybe Kingston actually started the food truck trend. Oh, I'm so confused now.... so back to Farm Girl. I had an upcoming trip to Kingston to visit family, so I made sure to track down Farm Girl during the visit. My brother, his girlfriend, my daughter and myself all came by on a weekday around noon. There was a line, but not a huge wait. They are very efficient. I had the BBQ chicken tacos along with pasta salad. So good! Really, I could just live off of the pasta salad. It was awesome. I'm not entirely sure what the other adults had, but it all looked delicious. My little one enjoyed the fries, too! Friendly staff, the truck is easy to find, and (best of all) delicious, local, homemade food. Two thumbs up! My sister and I had their daily special which was a roast beef sandwich with an au jus dip as well as a red quinoa salad. The sandwich and au jus were both quite good. Close to excellent! The quinoa salad was good also though the dressing was not quite as tasty as I had hoped.....but I am quite picky when paying $16 for a food truck lunch. Overall, worth the price because you could easily share this meal between 2 people. I also felt the food was truly fresh and tasty. The service added to the experience as the staff were friendly and efficient. The meal was ready in under 10 minutes and I was greeted when I walked up by the owner and a staff member. After many food truck experiences, including a couple of U.S. award winners, I would say this truck makes it into the top 3 I have tried. Fries, burgers, hot dogs... and all things we didn't need before noon. But when you're in rural Ontario and see a chip wagon, you go. Just go. We ordered small fries for $5.50, which could pass for a large elsewhere, and a Pickle Chips Poutine for $13.25. Staff were quick and friendly and we waited just 6 minutes for our order while the local crowd started to form a line. Some fries were a bit soggy for my liking, but overall good. Salt, pepper, malt vinegar (YES) and ketchup are at the order window. My plain fries needed salt - not a complaint! My guy's poutine was a massive portion with a good mound of cheese curds, decent beefy gravy, and topped with fried dill pickles. You have to try this combo! Take a seat at one of the 5 shaded picnic tables, and enjoy. We took most of ours to go and finish later. Took off a star because the only plant-based option is plain fries. Not even a burger! Tip 1: Go on a weekday before noon. Seems like the locals come for lunch at exactly 12:00! Tip 2: Bring cash. There's a $2 surcharge for any type of card payment, including debit.
