My windshield was cracked but beyond repair. I happened upon 2 Hour Auto Glass as I was strolling down 3rd Avenue on my way from Union Square in Manhattan ( I'm an "extreme walker"). So Joe, one of the owners, asks me how he could help. "Alright , I thought, " It won't cost anything to get a quote." So figuring the damage would be between $250-$300 for my SUV (another place gave me a verbal estimate). Joe made a call and came up with $250, the bottom end of the previous quote. How could I argue with that price? Okay, so they ordered the glass which will come the next day. In the meantime, brother Barry is making fruit and carrot juice in his Nutri-Bullet blender-"Would I like some?" Being a health nut, "Sure" I said, thinking this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. My day started out fine..until I finished work in Brooklyn @4:30 p.m...went to the parking lot to get my car and found out my driver side window was busted and my car was broken into. I've never ever had something like this happen to me before! Thankfully, the only thing taken was my 6 year old coat...nothing else. On 10th November, early morning, when I went to my parked vehicle, I found a crack on the rear window back glass. I was nervous, stressed and completely at a loss as to what to do because it never happened to me, started calling from my Dealer's service center to many other service centers. I didnot receive any positive answer from any one except from Mr. Joe of Two Hours Auto Glass at Brooklyn. I was surprised by his concerns as he called me three times and confirmed that the glass was ready with him. I was not aware about my insurance coverage which I later on came to know from Mr. Joe, a Youngman of 75 years, that I have 100% coverage for the glasses and I did not require to pay anything. My vehicle was taken by his staff. Mr. Joe assured me the best of their services. During my stay, I met Mr. Barry, the manager, a very well behaved gentleman. I was there hardly two hours sitting in a very clean well decorated waiting room for the clients. So I walked to my car on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm & saw that my rear windshield was completely smashed. Fun stuff, especially that I had to be at a party at 4pm! I immediately called my insurance company & although I have complete glass coverage, the earliest appointment with their preferred auto glass repair company was Monday morning. That option wasn't ideal. Figuring there is usually other options, I inquired with my insurance company if I can go to any local auto glass repair shop. They informed me that I can & usually they'll reimburse directly with that local auto glass shop. So I went online & immediately found Two Hour Auto Glass. I called them up & they had the windshield for the model of my car in stock. I drove right over, they took my insurance info, fixed my windshield, & I was out of there by 3pm! I made it to my party. TL;DR Joe and Barry at 2 Hour Auto Glass are AMAZING! Just use them, don't even consider anyone else. The long story... My window was broken on Saturday and I had to get my family somewhere on the following Saturday. GEICO recommended Safelite and I setup an appointment for Thursday morning. Safelite confirmed my appointment but called during the appointment window on Thursday to tell me they didn't have the glass and that it would take 3-5 business days to get. WHAT?! Why didn't they order it when I setup the appointment? I called 2 Hour Auto Glass and Joe came to the rescue. He found glass to do the repair the same day. About an hour later, he called an apologized but the new glass was chipped and he didn't want to use it. So he rushed to find me new glass from a dealer, which he somehow did (even though Safelite AND the car dealer said it was special order). I had a new window on Friday morning. These guys are the nicest, fastest, and most efficient. They did all of the paperwork for me so that GEICO footed the whole bill. It's SUNDAY morning on LABOR DAY weekend and I am in a panic because my Driver Side window was broken over night and I need the car to get to work. I call almost a dozen places and get what I expected; they are not open till Tuesday. I call 2 Hour Auto Glass, Barry answers, he says come on down we are open and have the glass. From there I have one of the most incredible "auto shop" experiences in my 20 years of driving and having to get stuff fixed. I meet Chris, who is the technician that installs the new window and he is really nice and helpful. I meet Barry, who greets me by saying "hey come in I am making us coffee". I thought I was in the Twilight Zone because so often you go to these places and you are ready for short answers and a bad attitude while waiting for the "there's a problem" shoe to drop. Not here. The absolute best. Completely knowledgeable, professional, prompt, efficient, and great work. I had them replace the windshield on my brand-new top-of-the-line MDX with all the bells and whistles. Safelite sent someone to repair when it required replacing, then they couldn't figure out which windshield to get for my car, then they never ordered it. I told GEICO I couldn't deal with Safelite anymore, especially after a previous bad experience when they did a defective installation which caused water to leak into the car. They found 2 Hour Auto Glass, and within 2 days I had an OEM windshield installed there. Joe even put me on the phone with the local Acura dealer to show me that he was ordering it from Acura with my VIN. Joe and Barry are brothers and partners who treat every customer and employee right. Holy Heck. Our car got broken into on a trip down to Virginia. I'm talking we woke up the next day with glass everywhere, personal belongings missing, the whole darn thing. We had to get back to Boston that night, and what do you know, it was a sunday. That means damn near every place was closed. On the cold drive home with a broken window, we called probably every glass on route 95, and they were either closed, or said they couldn't help us at all-booked up. Even two one-hour phone conversations with Safe-lite, everyone said there was nothing they could do. Not 2 hour glass. Barry was just the best. Even though driving Brooklyn would take us until 5, an hour past closing time that day, Carlos stayed there for us until we got there and repaired our window in under an hour. They really know how to make a returning customer (though fingers crossed on onto breaking a window again), and Barry really will always pick up the phone. My car window was broken into the 3rd time in the last 9 months! My insurance company had routinely sent me to Safelight to fix the damages in the past. Safelight was slow to get around to the fix and had really made things complicated over the holidays by not following through like they said they would. I am SO glad I was put in touch with 2 Hour Auto Glass this time. Barry was warm and helpful. My car was fixed in less then 2 hours. Not only that but the guys working on my car cleaned the inside of my car really well and went above and beyond. My only regret is that I didn't have any cash on me to tip them when I picked up my car; because they had fixed it so quickly I was grabbing my car on my lunch break and had to run back to work. Our newly leased Mercedes was broken into and the passenger window was shattered. We found him through our insurance's referral using Safe Light and he was the only business in NYC who could repair our window on the spot. What really made me appreciate him was that he made sure to replace the window with the EXACT GLASS Mercedes uses. Within minutes he located the exact make/model glass at the Mercedes dealership and had it in the car and installed in under 2 hours- his work really lives up to his title business! I recently went to 2 hour auto glass as I needed my front power door locks and my motor for one of my windows fixed on my 2001 Grand Caravan. Barry and Joe (brothers??) were consummate professionals, as they immediately took care of me, gave me a great $ deal as well as replaced my blower motor resistor behind the heating vents during this frigid winter (included in the overall price). I also took my 3 kids with me and they had a great time, especially when Barry gave them free sodas from the vending machine. What a guy!! Words cannot express my sincere gratitude to Barry and his shop. Sunday night around 8pm I realized the passenger side window would not go up in my car, it was jammed. I googled Auto Glass Repair in Brooklyn and found Barry's shop. I called him around 8pm on Sunday night in a frantic. He himself picked up. He told me not to worry and to drop off the car in the morning and he would fix it. He fixed it Monday morning in less than 2 hours. He told me I could pick it up during the day, But I told him I was not done with work until at least 6pm. When I first got there I was immediately greeted. His name was Barry. I was very upset because I accidentally broke my front passenger side window. I was treated with professional courtesy. He offered me a hot cup of coffee which was very well appreciated since it was very cold out. He led me to the waiting area which was very well heated with television. I was treated with the utmost respect and regard for my situation. I was updated multiple times on how much time I had left to wait. Their price was the cheapest I got. I will say one thing they did lie about... It wasn't two hours... It was only one hour. Wonderful bunch of employees and pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend this business to anyone I care about.
