Erin looked after our cat last year over Thanksgiving, and despite it no doubt being a very busy time for her, she was attentive and prompt. She sent us the best pictures of our cat each day, brushed her, cleaned up and made sure food and water were readily available. She came to our apartment everyday for about half an hour and was dedicated to the cat the whole time. It didn't feel like she was rushing, rather that she spent time sitting with our cat and giving her lots of love. Our cat is quite shy, and Erin managed to send us pictures of her looking very relaxed and happy! I think the best thing is that Erin doesn't make you feel silly for sending very long instructions on your cat - she doesn't need much instruction other than where the food etc is because she's so good with animals, but as a very clingy cat mom it's awesome that Erin is so responsive when you send long emails to her! In my case there were two furkids that needed varying care. Why I would return to Freya +'s: + Responsive. I needed day care services and even evening services while I had to attend an all day conference and participate in an evening event for a few days. Freya answered my calls and texts before the care, during the care, and after the care. + Timely. Always showed up on time when I had to rush off to an event + Caring. I judge how my two dogs react when she returned the following day. Dogs do not lie and they were happy to see her return. + Helpful. Often I had to rush in and out of my lodge while I had to attend an event and Freya made sure she could help me exit as smoothly as possible and minimize my dogs' separation anxiety + Senior care experience. I see that Freya was able to care for my senior dog who had more issues than the younger sibling. + Great feedback. She shared photos of my girls to just show me how they were doing that day while I had to leave them under her care. Routine visits were always fine, but…read morewhen he became seriously ill, I called for an urgent appointment and was told they were fully booked and couldn't see him. I had to take him elsewhere, and he was so sick that he had to be put down the next day. That experience alone left a lasting impression, and I did not return for years. Recently, I decided to give them another chance because of the convenience of the location. Unfortunately, I regret that decision. I brought in my two cats, and blood work was recommended for one of them. The blood draw was poorly handled--it took multiple attempts from the neck, which was distressing for my cat. In the end, one of the samples was mishandled and became unusable, resulting in an inconclusive test. Despite this, I was still charged in full (around $700), and no refund or accommodation was offered for the failed test. Between the lack of availability in urgent situations and the poor handling of a basic procedure, I cannot recommend this clinic. I will not be returning.
