Initially, we arranged for daily walks for our two labrador retrievers when I was working full-time and my husband was recovering from hip surgery. But due to our busy lives and the excellent experience we had in the beginning, we have continued with a regular daily walk for our dogs since then. We trust them, and they really ease our load! We are concerned "parents". We center our lives around the dogs, because not only are they wonderful and loving family dogs, they are active, energetic dogs who need a lot of exercise. And because we have had dogs of all ages since January 2012 - young adult dogs, elderly dogs, and puppies - one dog with knee problems, and even one who had chemotherapy, we can attest that the walkers are good with all ages and conditions. We feel fortunate to have found Monterey Pet Care with its very dependable, friendly, and professional walkers. They arrive on time and treat our dogs and everyone they meet with respect. Shelley takes her time, not rushing to complete the job with razors alone.. she will use scissors to achieve the right look and will comb out any mats I may have missed. The pups always look beautiful when Shelley is done. We first used Shelley when she was mobile which was great for us. She is not currently mobile but works out of her van at her home. In my case there were two furkids that needed varying care. Why I would return to Freya +'s: + Responsive. I needed day care services and even evening services while I had to attend an all day conference and participate in an evening event for a few days. Freya answered my calls and texts before the care, during the care, and after the care. + Timely. Always showed up on time when I had to rush off to an event + Caring. I judge how my two dogs react when she returned the following day. Dogs do not lie and they were happy to see her return. + Helpful. Often I had to rush in and out of my lodge while I had to attend an event and Freya made sure she could help me exit as smoothly as possible and minimize my dogs' separation anxiety + Senior care experience. I see that Freya was able to care for my senior dog who had more issues than the younger sibling. + Great feedback. She shared photos of my girls to just show me how they were doing that day while I had to leave them under her care. She was abused and then dumped at a shelter where she stayed for about a year before we got her and she's okay around dogs but is shy with people. We wanted an afternoon at the Aquarium--and Melissa's reviews were great, so we reserved time with her. She arranged her schedule to accommodate us and even made time the afternoon before to come by and take our girl for a walk, load her in her car for a short drive and a walk away from us, sent photos, and returned her. When Melissa came to pick up our girl, Abby's tail wagged so fast and her body wiggled. She gave Melissa a hug that she usually reserved for us! While we were at the Aquarium, we got lots of happy, relaxed dog photos and updated. When we met up, to retrieve her, Abby was more interested in sniffing than seeing us--she was exhausted and that happy! I will call Melissa any time we are in Carmel. She's fantastic.

I've never done mobile grooming before and I wish I would of known about it sooner! Lynda is wonderful! She came right to our house, parked in our driveway, to do Greta's hair. I love that Greta was the only client and she was getting constant attention (which Greta loves too). Best part she was not shaking after the hair cut. I highly recommend Lynda, especially if your pet stresses over going to the groomer. Also, if you have an outdoor plug for Lynda to use, that will be handy. Otherwise she has an extention cord that will reach farther. Luckily it was long enough to go inside our garage.

She did not feel comfortable with them. Dogs can be a great judge of character. The front of the store is odd, doesn't look like a grooming business at all. Dirty, smelly, and unkept. You cannot see the very hidden grooming area. What are you hiding?! I asked for a trim, nails done, and bath. My dog was almost unrecognizable when I picked her up. No big deal, they said she needed a shorter cut. Although our regular groomer would have done the work and brushed out some tangles. Ben even said "it's not like we don't want to do the work" um ya it was exactly that. Laura was complaining about a man's dog barking the whole time it was there and then she proceeded to tell me who he used to date and that he looks bad now! I was shocked at her behavior! Is she intoxicated? What did she say about us when we left? My dog had an uneven neck trim like they forgot to do the other side, she had a shave line to the skin on her neck that is very obvious (looks like a slip of the clippers) most of the shave is uneven and blotchy, and still had knots behind her ears! I messaged Ben, no response. This morning I noticed one whole paw is not trimmed! I messaged him to cancel our other appointment for our other dog. DONE! Never again!

My family has known Laura since she first started with dog grooming around 1974 when she was on Del Monte Blvd in Marina. We trusted her wholeheartedly for many years with our dogs and she use to be amazing at what she did. Well nowadays my opinion on Laura and Picture Perfect have definitely changed. I have witnessed her on and off temper tantrums as well as her bizarre behavior. What is also upsetting is that her grooming skills have become sloppy and she even injured our dog. She claims we wanted our dog shaved to her skin which is absolutely bullshit and when I picked her up I wasn't impressed or happy. I definitely believe that Laura was under the influence of something that caused her to behave in an irrational manner. What I also want to mention for the people who still bring their pets to Picture Perfect for grooming is that they need to be very cautious about who they are entrusting their pets care too. Furthermore it's definitely shady as Hell that Laura and her partner Ben will not allow anyone to inspect the grooming area. What is this woman hiding? I believe she possibly maybe drugging some of the dogs while in her care. That's just my opinion. Anyways anyone who is willing to allow this horrible woman to groom their pet maybe asking for trouble. As pet owners it Is up to us to protect our pets from harms way and the possibility of abuse. I most definitely would never recommend Picture Perfect.
