when visiting vision maxx recently for an exam and to pick out new frames, I asked sam to adjust my current glasses and he literally broke the top of the frames. his response was sorry.....I had to ask him to fix them, so he crazy glue them and handed them back to me with glue on the lens. he told me to go to the dollar store and pick up some glue. been going to this place for 20 or so years. Good by vision maxx. went to another place and the sold me frames and used my old lenes as the solution. Why didn't vision maxx offer the same solution....so unprofessional and disappointing. they deserve zero stars. read more

Avoid at all costs. They took my sunglasses to "check the prescription" and then BROKE them. Then did not offer to fix or replace only offered me a 20 percent discount on lenses!! Ridiculous. So they broke my glasses then wanted ME to pay them to fix it. No way. Major scam. My insurance only covers 1 pair of regular glasses a year, so I will have to either wear these BROKEN or fork out $200 for a new pair. Update: Instead of taking responsibility for their actions. Visionmaxx is attempting to claim I asked them to take the lenses out! This is not true. My paperwork that was turned in BEFORE they broke my glasses, I clearly checked that I was not interested in getting new glasses that day. So their blatant lies and irresponsibility is outrageous. Everyone there was very friendly and professional, but I could tell Dr. Marcin was hesitant in giving me my pupillary distance measurement, because that meant I'd be purchasing eyeglasses elsewhere. I had no idea that was some kind of faux paus...anyway, he did very reluctantly give me that measurement (when I asked for it twice) and I went on my way. Unfortunately his measurement was WRONG which cost me a couple hundred bucks in useless glasses, PLUS I had to go to another doctor to get the correct PD so that I could get eyeglasses online. Dr. Marcin was off by 2 mm, or he simply gave me an incorrect measurement. Either way, it was a waste of my time AND MONEY. read more

It's been 2 years since I had gotten glasses and figured I would give VisonMaxx a try. Their staff was very helpful and fit me in to a cancellation someone had that day. The optometrist was nice and respectful as were the assistants. They helped find me a pair of glasses that fit well and got me the best deal with my insurance. They weee very clear on the pricing throughout the process and made sure I was comfortable with the price before having me pay. My son's glasses broke on one of the arms. The break was in the arm material so it would have to be replaced instead of repaired. We had to temporarily glue it together so he could attend school that day before we went to Vision Maxx for replacement. Once we got to Vision Maxx we were told because we made the emergency repair that it was not covered under warranty. If we just brought it in broken, it would have been covered. UPDATE: I expressed my concern with the warranty policy with the store management and they were able to make it right. Very happy how this was resolved and would recommend VisionMaxx for your eyecare needs. read more

I can see clearly now! Vision Maxx took really good care of me and their staff and service is top notch. Dr. Marcin is great and very patient. Especially performing an eye exam while my squirming four year old sat on my lap in the exam chair. Thanks doc. The office had a great selection of eyewear and sunglasses and the staff helped me to pick out the right look, fit and quickly inserted the lenses in their lab. I was fitted for contacts while I waited for my glasses and have been extremely happy with my new specs. Their prices were good, took my insurance, and the staff was great. Hi. I don't normally post things on here but thought I needed to. I've been going here for years now and absolutely love the staff and eye doctor. They are all so helpful, friendly, professional and family oriented. However, my last visit was horrible. I was about in tears, tears because I had to remain professional or she and the whole office would have heard some not so nice words. I believe they hired a new woman, Rose, who was extremely pushy, over talking me, taking over the situation and just made me feel very uncomfortable with my decision makings. She was all over the place. She was pushing more things on my daughter who by the way did not pay the bill which I felt I needed to remind her of that. I normally recommend to all my co workers and friends to go here, however I told each and everyone if she is working that day to walk away!!! It took me over a month to pick up my glasses as I did not want to return to the circus she creates, being loud and obnoxious. I hope and pray this situation is handled as I don't want to lose the relationship, friendship, family I've gained with the other staff members. Been going here for years. Had a set of oakley's that I purchased a little more than a year ago and they broke (manufacturer defect). Called and spoke to a man who told me they only offer a 1 year warranty and to call Oakley. I called Oakley and Oakley told me that vision maxx is an authorized dealer and there is a two year warranty. I call back to vision and get rose on the phone who reaffirms the one year. I explain what Oakley says and she tells me One year. I called Oakley for the third time and explain the situation. OAKLEY called the store and got no where. So Oakley was calling other dealers to get my problem solved and needed to know the frame model. Oakley called back and spoke to the office manager, carol, who was kind enough to tell them that my lenses were not factory (which voids the warranty AND I didn't know they weren't Oakley lenses either) and hung up on the Oakley rep. Oakley made it right and sent me new frames and paid a competitor to put my rx lenses in the new frames. I went to the store and spoke to Gene and Rose when I picked up my new glasses (same frame as the broken pair) and told them the whole story. They didn't know about the two year warranty and seemed genuinely disgusted by my complaint, however, I can't go back to a place where the manager was vindictive enough to screw me when they could have just done the right thing over a $400 pair of year old glasses. They have always been great but this is unforgivable especially considering their policy on another name brand and the fact that they tell you to keep the demo lenses and let them handle the warranty claim. Them not knowing a manufacturer's warranty policy is inexcusable compounded by the fact that the office manager went out of her way to screw me. I also forgot to mention Carol was kind enough to tell Oakley the glasses were older than they really were which would have put them put of the 2 years-except thankfully Rose had already told Oakley and me the purchase date. First time here. The receptionist was fantastic. She helped me with my insurance and set me up with a same day appointment. The optometrist was 20 mins late to my appointment but was very friendly and thorough. Side note: one of the employees went to the restroom, which was right next to the exam room, flushed the toilet and immediately opened the door to leave. I can only assume he did not wash his hands. I am very disappointed with the customer service. I have had nothing but issues dealing with everyone that works there. They lie from the beginning about the warranty and what they offer.
