High hopes of no more glasses.

I would have given 20/20 a 3 or 4 when I had my procedure. I did not have 20/20 after my initial procedure and had to have a second procedure. Not a huge deal. However after 5 years, I am the minority who can't see without contacts or glasses (3 years after glasses for driving). Buy the correction insurance!! It is $3000 to get an adjustment after just a few years. I would not do it all over again. Too much money for just a couple years with great sight

Back when I originally worked with them, they offered a lifetime correction. The nurse and the surgeon were both very friendly and helpful. They checked my vision and eye health and clearly laid out my options and their recommendation. Ultimately, I decided against a second correction at this time. But after this return visit after 15 years, I am still confident that I made the right decision by going to 20/20 Institute all those years ago.

Sorry, long but thorough review below: My husband and I had…read moreour Lasik procedure done here on 10/17 and I have to say it was a phenomenal experience. The entire staff here is amazing and extremely nice. We have worn glasses for years and were just over them so we decided to go for it and 20/20 had the best reviews on both Google and Yelp. Like I said the staff in it's entirety from the doctor's to the check in desk and the folks on the phones are all amazing! They definitely know their stuff and information. They are extremely thorough when going through every step you will have done. Beginning to End; The eye exam they will do regardless of if you just had one a month ago to make sure it's perfect and they do all the tests you would at your normal eye doctor. After that they'll let you know if you're a good candidate or not and go forward with scheduling your procedure and your follow up visits! Procedure day you'll get there get your payment set up and they offer financing which is amazing! Then once that is squared away you'll get taken back and go over everything and get your take home bags with your antibiotic drops and eyedrops for afterwards. They will give you the "Valium" (not sure the actual name) to help you keep calm during the procedure and will let that take effect for 20 minutes then bring you into the procedure room and start the procedure. The procedure itself literally took maybe 9 minutes and really isn't painful but they aren't kidding when they warn you about the pressure pushing on your eye during the flap cutting phase but it lasted maybe 30 seconds if that. The nurses in the room with you are AMAZINGLY AMAZING and help you stay calm and let you squeeze a stress ball or their hands. I loved them for giving me their hands because I damn near had a panic attack when my second eye was done. Once I was done they sat me up and we were quickly checked by the doctor looking in my eyes to make sure everything looked good and we went home with our ride. We got home and went to sleep for probably 4 hours then woke up and took the extra sleeping aid they gave us to sleep the rest of the night. Woke up the following day AND I COULD SEE CLEARLY!!! I literally had 20/20 vision the day after! It truly is an amazing procedure and I am so happy we did it. It is worth the money and insurance took a good chunk off surprisingly. I am constantly looking for my glasses and trying to push them up even though I'm not wearing any LOL. DON'T HESITATE!!! COME HERE FOR LASIK!!

After paying $4,500 for a surgery that was supposed to correct my vision, I am left with worse eyesight than before. After the first surgery, my prescription was incorrect, and I was told I'd need to wait six months for a follow-up surgery on one eye. During that entire waiting period, my vision was extremely uneven and blurry. I was traveling overseas during much of that time, and it was very difficult and uncomfortable trying to function day-to-day without being able to see clearly. What made it even more frustrating was that I was not offered any temporary solution to help me see better while I waited. When I finally had the second surgery, I hoped things would improve. Unfortunately, my eyesight is still not good. I never had a problem with close-up vision before LASIK, but now I need reading glasses at all times just to see up close -- and my distance vision is still not clear. At my most recent appointment, I was simply handed a prescription for glasses. To be told that after paying $4,500 for LASIK, I should now spend more money on glasses to fix what the surgery was supposed to do, feels unacceptable. I regret having LASIK done here and wish I had gone elsewhere. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone considering LASIK.

Well at age 47, after years of wearing contacts and glasses, I finally made the decision to get custom wave form lasik with monovision. I asked Dr Hines how many surgeries like this he had done and he said "40,000". Ok, not his first rodeo. I received excellent care for many years, including very successful laser treatment, and this office was widely trusted by professional athletes and long-term Denver patients alike. After both doctors retired and the practice was sold, I returned in July after moving back to Denver for an annual exam with a new doctor. While the clinical exam itself was fine, the administrative experience was not. After paying in full for my exam, I requested my eyeglass prescription so I could obtain reading glasses and was refused due to unexplained billing and insurance issues. I was then told I would need to schedule and pay for another appointment instead. Under federal rules, eyeglass prescriptions must be released after an exam regardless of insurance status. The inability to explain charges while withholding my own prescription felt administratively hostile and unnecessarily obstructive. Unfortunately, this is not the practice it once was. I've chosen to move my care elsewhere and would caution others to be aware of potential administrative barriers when requesting records or prescriptions

Specifically, Maria at the front desk was overheard speaking negatively about another patient who had just walked in for his appointment. She told her coworker that the man was "annoying" and that he was "always coming in just to bother them." After hearing this, the coworker immediately began treating the patient poorly without even asking why he was there or whether he had an appointment. She dismissed him and told him he would have to come back later, only to find out that he did in fact have a scheduled appointment. Watching a patient be judged and treated disrespectfully before staff even understood the situation was very concerning. Because of this experience, I do not feel comfortable bringing my parents back to this clinic.

I asked to speak to the practice manager who helped us before, but a different person told us she didn't work there now. Then I learned her appt was with an optometrist not an ophthalmologist. (DES only had ophthalmologists, except in the glasses dept previously.) She has CML so she needs a dr trained in ophthalmology. It was not communicated she was scheduled with an optometrist when I made the appt on the phone. Dr. Maus was her ophthalmologist, but he's gone, too. Her Retina Specialist is leaving in August. Get the picture? Panorama Eye Care, LLC took over the practice, but it's not disclosing it to the public or previous patients. This is a deceptive practice known as bait and switch. It is illegal and I've filed a complaint with COAG.
