Sorry, long but thorough review below: My husband and I had our Lasik procedure done here on 10/17 and I have to say it was a phenomenal experience. The entire staff here is amazing and extremely nice. We have worn glasses for years and were just over them so we decided to go for it and 20/20 had the best reviews on both Google and Yelp. Like I said the staff in it's entirety from the doctor's to the check in desk and the folks on the phones are all amazing! They definitely know their stuff and information. They are extremely thorough when going through every step you will have done. Beginning to End; The eye exam they will do regardless of if you just had one a month ago to make sure it's perfect and they do all the tests you would at your normal eye doctor. After that they'll let you know if you're a good candidate or not and go forward with scheduling your procedure and your follow up visits! Procedure day you'll get there get your payment set up and they offer financing which is amazing! Then once that is squared away you'll get taken back and go over everything and get your take home bags with your antibiotic drops and eyedrops for afterwards. They will give you the "Valium" (not sure the actual name) to help you keep calm during the procedure and will let that take effect for 20 minutes then bring you into the procedure room and start the procedure. The procedure itself literally took maybe 9 minutes and really isn't painful but they aren't kidding when they warn you about the pressure pushing on your eye during the flap cutting phase but it lasted maybe 30 seconds if that. The nurses in the room with you are AMAZINGLY AMAZING and help you stay calm and let you squeeze a stress ball or their hands. I loved them for giving me their hands because I damn near had a panic attack when my second eye was done. Once I was done they sat me up and we were quickly checked by the doctor looking in my eyes to make sure everything looked good and we went home with our ride. We got home and went to sleep for probably 4 hours then woke up and took the extra sleeping aid they gave us to sleep the rest of the night. Woke up the following day AND I COULD SEE CLEARLY!!! I literally had 20/20 vision the day after! It truly is an amazing procedure and I am so happy we did it. It is worth the money and insurance took a good chunk off surprisingly. I had found 20/20 just on a search of Lasik. They Had great reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. There were ton and tons of other options but this one felt right to me. After a phone consultation, I waited a week to get an in-person appointment which came quickly. Their multiple office locations may pose a problem for some, but their DTC office was perfect for me. When I arrived I was surprised first at how nice the office was the sheer elegance of the place was great. They have lots of coffee and tea along with snacks. Love that part. The people were great they make you feel comfortable right away when walking in, I found that to be comforting because how nice the front desk was. After that I do about a hour and half of eye drops and eye tests to make sure I am a perfect candidate. After finding out I was a candidate I scheduled my appointment for surgery that day! Which happened to be just 3 weeks away. Day of was painless I just had my sister drive me there and back and the actual surgery was painless. You feel a tug but nothing more then that. Getting LASIK was the best decision I ever made. The second best decision was getting it here! I can't say enough good things about my entire experience. The staff (Sabrina, Nick, Jacquelyn, Lexie, all the doctors) truly make you feel catered to and not just any other patient. They are honest and truthful, they take necessary precautions and they never tried to pressure me into anything. I unfortunately had to reschedule my first surgery but they were so accommodating and rescheduled all my appointments to when I was ready. They ran extra tests on my eyes during my consultation and the day before the procedure to ensure my eyes were safe. They were honest to tell me I was not a candidate for LASIK in my right eye since my cornea is too thin and offered me alternate options. I ended up going with MonoVision LASIK which does not correct my right eye to 20/20 but will still be clear. I was also informed I would not be eligible to have a correction done in the future (if needed). My pricing was adjusted and I paid for the lower plan, when they could have easily sold me the more expensive one and I would have never been the wiser. The day of the procedure everyone was so caring and put me at ease and so much comfort. The procedure was done quickly and without a hitch. And they still haven't forgotten about me because I've been back two times with another follow up in a week. I will recommend 20/20 to anyone and everyone and I would return to them (if I could!) I had a consultation at another LASIK provider and the experience was night and day. The exam at the consultation did not include many of the items 20/20 had checked for. I was never informed my right eye was not a candidate for LASIK. I was pressured to book and appointment before I left the office (which I ended up canceling when I got home). The package they offered me included lifetime enhancements at a higher cost, but I wouldn't have even been eligible if I came back. I can't even image what would happen to my eye if I had my procedure done at this other place with my thin cornea. And the other place told me they thought it would be okay for me to go to a pool party 7 days after my procedure because they wanted me to schedule within that month (supposedly for a big discount). I had my 1st Lasik procedure last year. I only had one eye corrected at the time (monovision) because the thought is that my other uncorrected eye would still have my up close vision intact and my corrected eye would handle the far away vision and my brain would make them work together to keep my vision clear. I understand this is a solution for those of us that are older but still have our up close vision that starts to degrade as you get closer to 50. In my case, it worked but I chose to have my 2nd eye corrected as well. I work on screens all day and was getting headaches from having only one eye corrected. Now that I've had both done, it's been very smooth sailing and no headaches! I had really terrific care and excellent follow up. The facility is nice and the procedure was very fast. I was in and out in about 90 minutes and that includes all the check in and waiting for medication to kick in. The procedure itself was about 10 minutes. I was planning to get LASIK, but Dr. Danzo and Jacquelyn talked me out of it because I had thin corneas. They let me know ideally I would get ICL surgery, but, because of my astigmatism, it would be better to get toric ICL, which was not yet FDA-approved but available in Vancouver. I trusted their judgement and got toric ICL surgery in Vancouver - it has now been almost two years, and I could not be happier. I just got home from my optometrist and still have perfect 20/20 vision in both eyes. Dr. Danzo and his team are real stand-up people unlike any other LASIK institute I visited. Jacquelyn is a VP who really cares about her patients. Even though it was not in their best interests to advise me to go somewhere else for refractive surgery, that's what they did. I've been saying for years that I would get my eyes lasered, and the time has finally come! At the strong recommendation of a friend, I opted to check out the 20/20 Institute, and so far I couldn't be happier with my choice. Their office isn't super-easy to find because their signage isn't very obvious, but it's a nice, clean, comfortable building. Their waiting room is very comfortable, and they have their own Starbucks coffee so save a couple bucks and drink theirs for free! Consultations are free, but they do keep your credit card on file and charge $25 for missed appointments. When making my appointment earlier this week, they requested that I wear my glasses for several days until my appointment - it's a little bit of a hassle (esp. driving into the sun!), but it's a small price to pay before getting my eyes permanently fixed. (A word of advice, ladies: it's a lot easier if you skip the eye makeup for your consultation.) All of the staff members were super-friendly (and gorgeous!), and ready to answer any questions you may have. Lucky for me, I have perfect eyes for Lasik, so I'm headed back next week to get them fixed! They don't necessarily "accept" insurance, but they will honor whatever discount your vision insurance would typically offer for laser correction. However, in my case, the "Lasik assurance" package is discounted through the end of the month so the insurance matching doesn't apply. (Or you can take the insurance discount, but it wasn't as cheap as their current special.) You can also do 24 months at 0%, which makes it a little less painful on the bank account if you have a flex spending or health savings account. Random, but if you get your eyes corrected during the month of October and opt for the Lasik assurance plan (which covers free lifetime visits and any future corrections that may be required), you'll also get a 42" HDTV. Really, they give you a $500 gift card to Best Buy or Target or you can opt to have $500 deducted from the already-discounted price. At any rate, I was put so at ease during the consult that I decided to schedule the procedure on-the-spot. I'm sure I could have spent a little more time doing some comparisons around town, but this place came so highly recommended by my friend that I couldn't pass it up! I was iffy when looking into the lasik process I read tons and I mean tons of reviews on yelp for places to go. Looked at Groupon etc. but I am so glad I went with this place everyone here was so professional and wonderful from start to finish. The office itself is just enough to be professional, but relaxing. Modern, quiet and my type of place all around. The ladies were the sweetest that I dealt with on the phone, who greeted upon check in, and did the initial intake and consultation process. doctor and surgeon were very knowledgeable and everyone made sure to make me comfortable every step of the way. Your eyes should be a big deal to make sure you get the best treatment and I feel like it was well worth doing for myself with them! thank you 20/20! Oh annnd the lasik procedure itself? I called 20/20 for a lasik consultation but they told me I had to schedule a 30 min virtual consultation to discuss cost prior an in- person consultation which is completely understandable considering we are in the middle of a world pandemic. My virtual consultation was scheduled yesterday (7/28 at 2:30PM) but no one ever called me. I find that to be extremely unprofessional. I was very interested in obtaining a consultation and possibly scheduling lasik surgery if eligible by August but seeing that this institute is unable to call me at the scheduled & confirmed time, they have just lost a valuable customer. read more

I had LASIK about a month ago. Like many others, it was a "why didn't I do this 10 years ago" kinda revelation. Entire experience was great. I did my initial consultation at the downtown office, which shares the staff as the Englewood (surgery) location, so dealt with the same folks the entire time. No pressure, pricing was in line with others, office and people were great. This review is based solely on my consultation appointment and interaction with the staff, facility and the Dr's. I chose not to have LASIK done at their facility but it was a cost factor only. From the minute you walk in the door at this facility the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The receptionist was courteous and helpful. She offered me water, soda and coffee while I waited for my appointment in a leather arm chair in front of the big screen TV. I really felt like I might've been on vacation vs waiting for a Dr's appointment. They did a serious of tests and were very thorough. I don't think there was one part of my eye left untouched by the end. They do a dilated exam and have you speak with the financial person while they wait for your eyes to dilate. This was a little difficult as your vision blurs and you are trying to look over paperwork with the financial counselor. I did at times feel like they had more of "salesmen" type attitude than a normal Dr's office but I realize this is a different type of office atmosphere because most of the time it's an elective out of pocket procedure. I felt very comfortable with all of their staff and the facility is top-notch. I don't think it gets much better than 20/20 Institute. I did decide to have LASIK performed at another facility that offered me a better deal and also had impeccable references. Out of 4 different consultations 20/20's quote was just way too high. I came to this place in hopes of getting LASIK to fix my very horrible (-7.0) vision! This place has the reputation of being the official Bronco LASIK center, with the surgeon being one of leading and top 10 in the nation. I did not go through with my LASIK procedure due to not being an ideal candidate but I would have if it were the other way! I really liked how professional, yet relaxing the environment is at this location. They do the procedures in the same office, which is nice because you can get familiar with the "operation room." My experience at the 20/20 Institute was excellent from the initial consultation, to the procedure, to the post-procedure care and follow-up. I felt super comfortable with the quality of the staff and the facility throughout the entire process. Shannon did a wonderful job during my initial consultation in explaining everything about the LASIK procedure and differentiating what I would be getting from the 20/20 institute versus other facilities. She also patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions. Procedure day went very smoothly and I was quite appreciative of how well run their operation was. I would highly recommend 20/20 Institute to anyone who needs eye correction. You will be so happy that you did it and your only regret will be that you had not done it sooner! The one caveat is that the procedure may be cost prohibitive for some people. But honestly, I don't really think you can put a price on assured positive health outcomes. Great experience start to finish. I had the procedure in the morning and everything went fine. To be honest, I felt worse than I thought I would the rest of the day after the surgery, I had a bad headache and my eyes were pretty sore, but after using the medication and sleeping all night, I woke up the next day feeling much better. I now have 20/15 vision and I'm happy as can be. I had the surgery yesterday btw and today my eyes feel pretty normal. Summary (TL:DR) I went in Wednesday morning (12/23) with ~-2.25 in each eye, did my procedure, took a nap, woke up to go to Star Wars: TFA at the 640 showing AND I SAT IN THE BACK ROW. No glasses, no issues with my eye sight at all. It's 12/25 Christmas now, and my eyes are perfect, pretty much recovered now. BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER. DETAIL - PRE OP On a whim, I put my contact information into their website one evening, after doing a TON of research on LASIK in general, as well as Denver Providers. Blake H called me the next day, and we spent ~30 minutes on the phone, talking through everything. There was _zero_ pressure to "just come in" like other places I talked too, and I genuinely felt that they actually cared. They are very transparent about cost, in fact, Blake told me every thing, to the penny, which was very reasonable (about ~3600 all in), and thats exactly what I paid. There was an option to do a lifetime contract, whereas the 3600 is a 1 year assurance. I don't plan to stay in denver all that long, so I opted for the 1 year. Note: You do NOT need to make this cost decision until you're going into your procedure day of, so again, no pressure here. I scheduled a consult, no drama at all Consult day was Tuesday 12/22, got a consult with Mark and Dr Danzo. From when I walked in to when I walked out, I was incredibly pleased. Everyone was extremely professional. The week before, I went to our normal private practice eye doc, and everything both sets of Dr's said was in perfect alignment, so I was very comfortable that I was getting the correct story. I was a good candidate and they happened to have a slot open the next day, so ... why not? I scheduled the time right then, picked up the required eye drops from Walgreens, and came in the next morning. Mark was there, as were other techs, as well as Dr Danzo and Dr Tripp. Again, from when I walked in, they made me very comfortable with the whole process. The techs and Dr's talked me through the entire process BEFORE anything was done, so there was no pressure at all. They walked through the final prep, and I went in to the laser room. Mark, Dr Tripp, and another tech (female, sorry I forgot your name! Sarah, Stephanie, S something, my apologies). DETAIL - Operation Not scary at all. The part where they "make the flap" is like getting your blood pressure taken, but on your eyeball. A bit of pressure for 20 seconds or less (literally, they counted down), then the laser does a few seconds of work, and then they switch eyes. All in all, probably under ~15 minutes, maybe even 10 minutes, and that is with them taking their time, NOT RUSHING, and talking you through every single action, so there is no anxiety. Once both eyes are done, you get up and sit in a room for a while, just relaxing. Your vision is ALREADY BETTER, but still a bit blurry from the stuff they put in your eye during the operation. Not horrible at all. My wife drove me home, got some Chick-fil-a, and then I took a solid nap. DETAIL - Post Op Pretty much the easiest post-op you'll find in any surgery. Just do the drops they prescribe, as they tell you, and everything is good. After I woke up, my buddy Stefan and I went to Star Wars: TFA at Parker/Arapahoe AMC at 640, and everything was fantastic. No issues with eye sight, and we sat in the back. Everything was perfect, and was the best visual movie experience I've ever had. No glasses or anything. They have you come back in the morning, do some checks, look at your eyes, and let you know if its all good. I'm seeing 20/15 in my right eye, and just about 20/15 in my left eye, but definitely a solid 20/20 or better across the board. Over the next two days (time of writing now), I've been keeping up with the drops, which are fine, and I'm feeling great. Vision is spot on. read more

I took my LASIK very seriously and went to 5 different surgery centers before deciding to have LASIK. The 20/20 institute was the last location that I visited but it was by far my favorite. The eye doctor was awesome and he made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions (and I had lots!). I had the procedure about 6 months ago and could not be happier with the results. I now see better than I did with glasses / contacts! My night vision is great and I have no residual astigmatism. The procedure was completely painless and very quick. I highly recommend 20/20!! I just completed my surgery yesterday and had my follow up appointment this morning. Looking back on the entire process; I could not be happier. Throughout each stage of the process the staff was friendly and accommodating. More importantly, they were diligent to make sure all of my questions were answered (and more importantly all of my wife's questions). I have struggled with poor vision ever since I can remember. I have worn glasses since the age of eight and I have worn contact lenses since I was twelve. I have always been an active person and decided to purse my love of dance professionally when I was in high school. Naturally, glasses were not cohesive with my line of work so I decided to wear contacts lenses full time. I had astigmatisms in both eyes and struggled with finding a comfortable fit while wearing lenses. After years of trying different brands and being disappointed with the comfort and vision correction, I came to the conclusion that I was just not meant to see perfectly. Being uncomfortable in lenses and not being able to see were just normal parts of my day. I lived this way for most of my adult life. I had always wanted to get LASIK eye correction, but like most people, I thought it was not available for astigmatisms and would not fit into my budget. It was at the Monday night Broncos game that I had saw an ad for the 20/20 Institute on Thunder Vision and something just clicked. I called and set up my consultation the next day! It was the best investment that I have ever made and I wish I would have done it sooner. I cannot put into words what a difference LASIK has made in my quality of life. I went from not being able to see my teammate's faces across the field to being able to see the faces of the fans in the upper decks. I have nothing bad to say about my entire experience at 20/20. The staff was all very friendly and attentive and the overall office space is very welcoming and well done. I had a few allergy problems in my eyes that needed to be cleared up before the procedure and Dr. Danzo was very helpful in making sure I got the right drops, etc. that I needed in order to clear it up before the procedure. Also, he wasn't going to allow me to do the procedure unless my allergies cleared up which demonstrates their legitimate care for every patient. The day of the procedure I was at the office for around an hour and a half and despite my nerves, every staff member was very helpful and kind in the time leading up to and after the procedure. I have never seen so clearly in my life! It has been almost a week now since my procedure and I have no serious pain or discomfort to report. Dr. Danzo also provided me his personal cell number in case of emergency which helps in giving me peace of mind. I would recommend 20/20 to anyone without thinking twice! Getting Lasik at the 20/20 Insititue far surpassed all my expectations; I cannot imagine having a better experience! I very highly recommend it. As they pointed out to me during my initial consult, 20/20 is entirely patient-focused instead of the traditional doctor-focused type of practice. The facility was nice and comfortable, and the friendly and welcoming staff are just as excited about you getting this life-changing surgery as you are. You are never waiting around in the lobby for an impatient doctor to finally become available as with many other places, and they very conveniently allow you to schedule surgery and post-op on Fridays and Saturdays, unlike some other places. The surgery itself was a piece of cake, and the peaceful and healing environment that they create for you while you're waiting to go into your surgery is very calming and relaxing. More surgery facilities should strive to create this kind of environment for their patients! I was never worried or anxious about the surgery, and even though I went in by myself I was never even really alone while waiting - there was pretty much always a staff member keeping me company. *Update* 1/07/14 *Updated my review to 2 stars only because I never elected to move forward with their services, but will not provide 3 stars or above because I was not "a-okay" with the preliminary service received. Second, I would never review an establishment I have never been to - waaaay to honest for that, however, I bet I still have the packet the gal shoved onto me upon arrival with the financing paperwork as proof I was there. I still remember the tea packet in the mail vividly. In addition, no thank you, no "atonement" is necessary, but I appreciate the gesture. Furthermore, I wasn't confused about either procedure, I performed quite a bit of research on both procedures and how they're performed as well as talked to close friends and other eye professionals about their personal experiences with Lasik/PRK. I needed at least a straight-forward, honest diagnosis on what type of surgery was for me and that needed to come from an experienced professional. I surely couldn't know what surgery I needed. In any case, my vision is still 20/20 if not better, and the frills of this place wasn't for me. Oh, and the $2k I saved - it's making interest and I couldn't be happier with the choice I made.* Well, I will tell ya like it is with this place. A JOKE! Over 4 yrs ago when I was looking to have Lasik or PRK (details to follow) performed on my eyes, I was recommended to this place by a close friend who had her surgery here. Let me tell you, when you first walk in here you think you're in a Rodeo Dr. boutique or something. You know where the money they're charging you goes. Flat screen TV's, leather chairs and snooty employees, oh, and Starbucks. Really, who needs Starbucks in an eye surgery center?!? First off, their prices were excessively MORE than anyone elses and yes, excessive meaning in the thousands range more and I did visit at least 4 doctors before I made my final choice and PRICE was not a factor - but when it comes to my eyes, I wanted the best surgeon and staff possible for the money I will pay. I am not cheap, mind you, but man, really? I really don't think that $500 discount or $500 gift card for a free TV is really free. They're just taking your cash and giving it to someone else. In addition, they're very pushy. Once you fill out your paperwork for the consult, they right away give you a nice folder with financing options and no pricing. I had to ask for pricing and was given the stink eye. No shit, the stink eye. I am sure their "consultants" are paid sales people on commission that get a super fat bonus for every poor soul that walks in here paying $5000+ dollars in hopes of getting a free TV or $500 discount. Anyhow, I was greeted, well, sort of, sat and waited forever to be seen. Directed to one room, directed to another and then finally, after another 30 min or so of tests, was told by the gal that my eyes could go either way - either Lasik or PRK. I had already been told by one doctor that I needed PRK, but with an open mind and wanting a second opinion, I came here. Anyhow, she said she wasn't sure though. Really, not sure, ok, so go get the surgeon. And she did. A hurried, grumpy guy that looked terribly annoyed that he was pulled from his fancy desk came in and said, "Eh, it can go either way, but maybe Lasik will work." Cross my fingers, hope to die, pinky swear that is what he said. WTF?!? What do you mean "maybe"? Can you take a second look is what I asked. You know what he told me, "Eh, you'll be fine, I trust ______'s (whatever that girl's name was) results." WHAT THE SUPER FUCK?!?!? Really?!? I was in shock, no second look, just a "maybe" out of him and "you'll be ok". These are my EYES, maybe doesn't work for me. Yeah, me thinks not. I don't trust their marketing. They said I would qualify for a promotion before my appointment and as I left after completing my appointment. The after a month I haven't received the bonus and now they are claiming I never qualified. I don't trust their claims and promises. read more

I recently had lasik at 20/20, and I couldn't ask for a better experience. Upon walking in, I was greeted with warm smiles, and I didn't have to wait at all. I was asked if I wanted anything to drink (I'm not sure why one of the reviewers was complaining about this), and I immediately felt comfortable. The staff is professional, friendly, and was willing to answer all of my questions. Jen did some pre-eye exams, Dr. Bircham checked to see if I was a candidate for lasik, and wonderful Meghan sat with me to go over finances and discussed each step of the surgery. Dr. Chang performed my surgery with ease. I was terrified, I have to admit, but it was the best decision of my life. The next day, when I woke up, I could see better than I did with my contacts. I chose 20/20 Institute for my Lasik procedure based on a recommendation from a co-worker. Really, it was their lifetime assurance plan option that sealed the deal. From the moment I walked in and Jane introduced herself with a beautiful smile, I knew I had chosen the right place. The staff are friendly, and they make sure you are comfortable through every step of the process. The day of the procedure, I was very comfortable and confident in the expertise of the staff and surgeon. He walked me through every step of the process before, and during the procedure. Even during the "uncomfortable" times (pressure on the eye while the corneal flap is being created), I was okay, because they told me everything that would happen. I was given Halcion (Valium) to relax me, and stress balls to squeeze if needed. They were both appreciated! I went in with 20/400 vision and a slight astigmatism in my right eye. I want to just start by saying this was by far the BEST customer service experience I've ever had. The staff was amazing. I really regret not remembering everyone's name because they were all great. The MVP's to me were Dr. Danzo, Dr. Montgomery and Mark Babbitt. 20/20 has a killer staff. That alone will make your experience one to always remember. As far as the procedure, that was perfect too. I had my surgery yesterday at 3 and here we are 24 hours later, and my vision is perfect. I feel great. If you are thinking of getting lasik done I would say for your sake go no where else besides 20/20. You will not regret it. They take care of their patients. First of all, for anyone debating lasik; DO IT! It is worth every penny and I would do it all over again in a heart beat. Now if you're going to get lasik, get it at 20/20. This has been the best medical related experience I have ever had. Not only is the staff super friendly, but they're dead honest. Not everyone is eligible for lasik and you will be told that if they're not 100% confident going into it. The staff was incredibly informative which made the process 1000X easier. I knew what to expect at every turn so I wasn't scared or taken by surprise with anything. I'm just shy of a week after my procedure and have no complications. I would without a doubt recommend 20/20 to anyone thinking about lasik; even if you just need to sit down and talk to someone to see if it's right for you. read more

Dr. Danzo and his staff are phenomenal. I had been putting off looking into lasik because the idea of surgery on your eyes was so daunting. I eventually decided to take the first step and at least find out whether I would be a good candidate for lasik. After reading the great online reviews for 20/20 LASIK, I scheduled a free consultation. The reviews did not disappoint. The entire staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They showed great appreciation for all my concerns and were very knowledgable in their responses to my questions. Not only that, but the entire experience did not feel like a doctor's office; it was very relaxing and comforting. I decided to go for it, and they were able to schedule my surgery within a week. They had clearly walked me through every detail of what to expect during the surgery and after. I now see 20/15 and am on my way to a quick recovery. I cannot explain the feeling of relying on glasses or contacts for nearly 25 years, to no longer requiring either. This has been a life changing experience. Dr. Danzo even went above and beyond when I called him on a Saturday night with additional concerns. He offered to see me on Saturday night, but I instead thought Sunday would work. We met on Sunday, and thankfully everything was on track, but it meant a lot to be able to be seen by the doctor to alleviate any concerns.
