Had an experience much like Annie P., Riverside, CA Some guy called looking for an employee and started to spout all of the reasons he needed to speak with an employee. We didn't think it was very professional and the receptionist didn't ask any of what he was stating and got rude towards the end. This company needs to be reported. Finally found me a great tax team!! 20/20 has a friendly and professional staff with a nice office and easy to find location.. Parking is kinda tight in the shopping center, but there's plenty of street parking available just in case. I arrived on time, Receptionist greeted me and just then I noticed there was refreshments and snacks in the waiting area ;) nice touch! But NO time for that, I didn't wait one minute, before I knew it, Greg was walking down the hall to meet me for our appointment. My taxes are fairly simple and straightforward, we went thru the basics, Q&A, deductions and blah blah... sign here .. printed copies there in a nice folder and DONE! Absolutely painless... I first went to Greg when I turned 18 and used him for several years. Since then I've worked and lived in several different states, used 2 different tax companies, had to be on a 1099 and generally hated having to deal with my taxes since. The other company's I've used, one was a large company that charged me a ridiculous fee and the other was a small company that caused me more headaches than I care to mention. I am surprised about all the great reviews. I went here today to see if I could just walk in and do my taxes, but unfortunately they couldn't see me. The reason why I rated 3 stars is because (1) I was the only person here and I'm wondering why I couldn't be seen by anyone and (2) when trying to set up the appointment, apparently no one really knew what day was available. I was told one day by one person, then the secretary/front desk person checks the computer and says that day was full, apologized and asked if I could do Tuesday instead. I set the appointment for Tuesday and I'm unsure I even want to come back. It just felt like it was unorganized and no one cared. I gave 2 stars because one of the tax ppl waved at me as I walked in although he was on the phone and greeted me with a smile. That was nice... Then it went downhill from there. read more

First year using 20/20 Tax Services after having been with same accountant for eight years and enduring declining level of service. I was pleasantly surprised by a few things which seemed to be out of my last accountant's control: a) being on time and b) charged the quoted fee. Greg Fey was on time, knowledgeable, and efficient. He is the owner and actually worked on my taxes. It wasn't a a seasonal employee but the owner himself working. 20/20 Tax Services has been sold to another company as of June 2016. I am extremely disappointed by Greg Fey, the original owner, and Brian Slevin regarding my 2016 Tax Return especially since I've been with them for the last 3 years. I felt they didn't give me the same competent level of service this year as they did the past. Because of their lack of attention, I ended up paying an additional $25,500 in additional taxes and penalties. Although 20/20 Tax Services has been sold to Fast Tax Services, I didn't feel they wanted to constructively resolve my issue with 20/20 Tax Services. Their delay and lack of procedures almost prevented me from getting 2 refinanced loan docs approved. It took 3 corrections to finally get an acceptable letter from Fast Tax Services. All three letters of explanation was insufficient and needed to be corrected because of the lack of verbiage or it wasn't on the company's letterhead. Each time the letter was corrected, I was expected to pay for their time to recreate it. In the end, my Loan Officer graciously paid the fees in order to prevent my 2 loans from falling out of escrow. Now, I need to find another accountant who will focus on my needs and not the owner's need to make his book look good for potential buyers. read more

Thanks to 20/20, I just deposited a check from the IRS for $15,000. My accountant suggested 20/20 after I received a late fee of $20,000. 20/20 organized an installment plan for me while we appealed. They handled the appeal with professionalism and humor as the IRS delayed review for a year and a half (45 days at time). 20/20 eventually escalated and negotiated the penalty down to $2,000. read more
