When we called to make our appointment, they did an over-the-phone consultation and gave us a price estimate, which was very competitive - especially considering they were the ones coming to us! They parked right outside of our apartment, showed us their van and their equipment (top-notch), and talked to us about how we wanted his hair cut. We showed them some photos of what we liked and were able to describe how we wanted it cut (it was our first time so we didn't truly know how to best describe it - something like a puppy cut but not too short because he's a very skinny pup), and they made our vision a reality. It was so nice not having to drive across town to go to another pet grooming salon where it takes all day long, and not knowing when he would be ready. It was nice knowing that he had individualized attention and we knew exactly when he was ready. Plus, we didn't have to travel anywhere! I can't describe enough how great the convenience was having them come to us and the assurance we had knowing that he wouldn't be neglected or kept in a cage waiting for eons. All-in-all, Juan and Heather were prompt, professional, and did an amazing job with our dog. They even gave us written details on how they cut it, so that they could repeat the exact cut for next time, which is SO helpful. We HIGHLY recommend Sniffs & Wiggles and are looking forward to having them cut and bathe him again.

When I pick her up and bring her home she's exhausted, she gets on the couch and doesn't move for the rest of the night. Even the next morning it's hard getting her out of bed. The ladies that work here are great too. They're accommodating and very friendly. My dog doesn't need grooming but if she did I'd totally trust these guys! Niki (the owner) does a great job grooming from what I've seen. These ladies work hard too, they're there when I drop off and still there when I pick up after working a full 8 hour day and getting a quick workout in. And their prices are good

I took my maltese here for boarding and grooming for almost 16 years (my dog just passed). In this time the cost for a grooming only went up three dollars and some change! I was always happy with his cut and reasonable time it took for him to be groomed. Amy used to groom him, she was the best. My dog always came out with a big smile on his face. The staff are ALL beyond kind and considerate towards my dog and I. I boarded him at least once or twice a year (for 10 days) in the suites with the webcams. You must book early for these on holidays. I loved checking in on him and watching him play in the doggie day care (while I missed him on vacation). The staff are attentive to any medications and/or dietary needs, and will call you if there are any major problems while boarded. This business is so great that there is a strong following of people who keep it really busy, so plan ahead for a grooming and boarding. It will be worth it. I totally recommend Pet Spas and Suites. They are so personable and caring. This isn't run like a corporate pet store where you never see the same people again the next time you come in, the crates are half the size at the corporate chain pet store. I went once and they were rude. I had a friend whom the corp. chain didn't take notes on her dog who had a hip problem (nor did they listen to the owners) and the dog ended up getting hurt- requiring surgery- costing thousands of dollars and pain and suffering to her dog. That would never happen at Pet Spa. It will be sometime before I get another pup but I know where I'll be taking him/her when I do. I will miss the Pet Spa & Suites family until then. I have a really small but sharp pair of scissors and weekly I found myself cutting off golf ball sized mattes from her fur; around her neck, on her belly. Luckily she's a really agreeable girl and never really minded this procedure. It wasn't until she had three bad bouts of diarrhea in a row that I reached my last straw. With the long hair around her butt, liquid poop was a nightmare. When I called, Greg's voicemail politely stated that they were not currently accepting new clients; but I left a message anyway. I asked them to please please please shave my cat. They responded the next day with amazing news! They wanted to make room in their schedule for her. For the first time in 10 years, I was able to truly behold the shape of my kitty. She's tremendously flabby and soft...and so adorable I burst into tears when I saw her new doo. Thank you, Greg.

It ended up being almost $500 and I got the same treatment with the manager. I explained beforehand that they had several mats due to my Won dog being disabled, and it is extremely hard to move him around and he needs to rest a lot. My other Newfoundland again was groomed beautifully. She did not need as much attention, but I was charged the same amount 250 for each dog. Yeah, that's outrageous. Finally, they have so many dogs that they're grooming. It takes them longer because they do not have enough staff. I was disappointed with the outrageous charge of the cost.

She was so nice on the phone and was very informative from the haircut itself to the cost and the directions to the business. Her assistant Christina is very knowledgeable and super friendly. She does have cats but it didn't seem to bother any of my dogs or bother her while she was working. She took her time and you can really tell that she enjoys working with animals. The location is ideal for Niskayuna, Schenectady, Rotterdam, Altamont and Scotia residents as it is on Dodge Street for all grooming needs including cats and dogs.
