They are about the scares! They have three "haunted" options that clearly have been thought out and are presented with flair . And the staff are incredible helpful and friendly (even the zombies ... like what happened to the hubby when his zombie blaster stopped working ... the zombie helped him fixed it so the hubby could blast him lol) and when one of our company pointed out that he had to drive back to SF and so couldn't wait in line for one of the events (and he said that in passing to us mind you, not to the staff), the staff overheard us and bumped us ahead in line !! So overall an incredible experience in my book . Totally , totally worth the drive .

Then they only allow so many at a time to enter so you can have the full effects of interaction haunting. OMG some people would come running out from the entry and no re enter again. then there were some others screaming their heads off all way through. YEAH OK... so that was me You finally reach the end of the Haunted house and your greatful and happy to be free from the scary-ness you just subjected your self too and some people wen and re got in line again. BRAVE SOULS!!! Each time you go through a house, they rip the pass so you can't go back--but you can take as long as you want to explore. We went for my daughter's birthday, and our whole group had so much fun. Highly recommend it for a spooky and memorable time!

If you haven't had the chance to visit Rebel Yell yet, you still have the chance tonight between 7…read moreto 9 PM. It's a free 5-minute walk (though a $5 donation is appreciated) that you can go multiple rounds. They're super detailed in terms of props and setup, considering how to draw people to certain spots for certain surprises. Hehehehe...They even have some little entertaining things for when you're waiting in line. It's just really well done and well organized, with places roped off for the line and the minimum amount of noise (considering), chaos, and random people in the street/in the way of cars. They ask people to go in groups of four or less, so heads up if you're in a bigger group. They're set up in a suburban neighborhood off 85, so there are no specific areas of parking and you'll have to park wherever you can find space in the neighborhood. We got there around 7 PM on Halloween night, half an hour after they opened for scary business. The line started getting much longer around 8 PM. As a result, we were lucky and able to park in front of their leftwards neighbors. In fact, if you have the time, check out some of the other decorated houses in the neighborhood. They were cool, even if Rebel Yell remains the crowning jewel for me. For future reference, Rebel Yell is opened on dates before the actual Halloween night (check out the Details page of their website) and has a no-scare preview for those who don't like being scared but still want to see all the work and craftsmanship that went into this. So congratulations on your 20th year, Rebel Yell! Thank you to the actors for such great work as well as everybody who put work into this. It really was wonderful and this is just a great place to visit during Halloween, what with everybody getting into the spirit and participating (outside) even when they're not an actual part of the staff. XD

The one they have you wear 3D glasses called Carnevil was pretty cool and the most scary one out of them all. Medical mayehm was okay and the scarecrow corntrail felt like a relaxing walk. Check-in was quick and easy -- we showed our online tickets and received wristbands for all three tours. The tours themselves were pretty short, each lasting about 10-15 minutes, so we finished all three in roughly 35 minutes. Overall, it seems more geared toward teenagers. There isn't much for younger children to do. One suggestion would be to have food vendors or a food truck available. Porta potties were onsite, which was convenient. A fun experience, but a little more to explore would make it even better!

This is the newest location for Higbee Haunt. We've actually been driving down to visit their…read morehaunts year after year. I feel like by experiencing other venues they've had, it actually setup a little bit of disappointment. This haunt was OK, but not scary at all. The hayride can't really be called a haunted hay ride if you can see all of the props and actors before even boarding. The actors are dedicated to the process, but this venue just doesn't work. Firstly, it's difficult to find. If you're not local to the area, it's dimly lit with very little signage showing where it's at. The property as a whole seems to be worth it but since the ground that's walked on isn't a paved surface, you can't have the same scare areas and actors jumping out at your feet. They did a very small mock corn field walk thru as part of the haunt. That wasn't fun, either, in fact it was pretty amateur. For a haunt that's been dedicated to scaring people AND has a following of those of us that will drive from where we live year after year, this was a letdown. If this remains the permanent location for Higbee, then I'll have to take my addiction for thrills elsewhere. Thank you for reading.
