I swear that I have reviewed this place. Now that's 2 reviews that have gone missing. They were definitely NOT negative reviews. What's going on? My car is a soap opera. If it's not one thing, it's another. I love the shit out of it. It's exactly what you'd picture me in... NO, it's not a pinto. We stopped in All-American Muffler this morning after dropping off my car at Peter's next door to say hi to the owner. My husband grew up with the owner and it usually turns into kind of like a reunion. We ran into a a person that we just met last week at REI... and then started socializing with strangers out in the parking lot. Stockton is not as bad as people say. Really it's not. All-American Muffler has helped me with concerns on my car's performance, O2 sensors, coffee can mufflers, you name it, they will throw out some interesting ideas. Nice honest people. read more

I've been here twice, once for my 2010 v6 Mustang and now for my 2015 EcoBoost Mustang. Both times great experiences and both times a happy customer. When I took my v6 back in 2013, I asked for a dual exhaust system and something that would give it a nice aggressive tone. Chris the owner recommended the Kamikaze mufflers and I couldn't have been any more happy, they were great and it made my v6 sound v8 worthy. Fast forward to now, I no longer have the v6 but I recently bought the new 2015 EcoBoost mustang. Lets just say it's suppose to sound like what turbo-4 is suppose to sound like....weak!! I came back to 209 Muffler and Performance and spoke with one of the mechanics there and again Chris the owner recommended the Kamikaze's. I already had in mind of a turbo back exhaust setup and the guy who worked on my car knew where I was coming from and built a system that was 10x better than what I was expecting. The kamikaze mufflers really brought out the aggressive deep tone I was looking for while also bringing out the turbo as well. The best part of it all was that the pricing was beyond reasonable, I would've paid 4x the amount for just parts for the exhaust I wanted if I had bought the one I was looking at online and that didn't even include labor. Overall I highly recommend these guys, I've left both times overly satisfied and will definitely be coming back for more performance parts as time goes on. read more

So i took my car in for a bad misfire issue. So they changed the spark plugs...these idiots released the Car to me saying it's all good. Long story short i didn't make it out of the parking lot. I popped open the hood and found two spark plugs rattling loose and plug wire not connected. These plugs weren't tighten down at all. Even after they fixed that. I was still having misfire issues. Ended up towing my car from there shop to AAMCO off of Waterloo rd. They solved the issue in two days. One word for 209 muffler performance ...CLOWNS read more

Wow, this place is awesome!! So i bought a muffler for my motorcycle(called a slip on) and it was missing the mid-pipe that runs to the exhaust pipes. After I was rejected at Pacific Muffler(Read my review there as well), I took it down to All American Muffler instead. The guy who worked with me was named Chris. He was very helpful and nice. It took him only 30 minutes to fabricate the custom mid-pipe that I needed. Thank you so much All American Muffler!! Everyone should go here and stay away from Pacific Muffler. Thanks read more

Did not have a good experience here. This shop is NOT professional at all. I drove 2 hours from San Jose to this shop because one of the workers, Sam, was selling me his used Solowerks S1 BMW e46 coilovers. I arrived at the shop, and had to wait about over an hour, yet he told me I had an "appointment". I expected to receive the whole coilover kit, including the sway bar links and coilover spring perches for the rear. He did not have the sway bar links off his car, and he had to go home to pick up the spring perches. So, the shop decided to modify my OEM sway bar links to fit the coilovers. I did not expect that. The seller did lower the price of the coilover kit however. The rear shocks were not blown, but they were not like new. I expected to get a better sale from them. He told me they still had warranty, but did not give me the specifications on how it works and how to get them replaced. The shop guys did the install, and what surprised me was that they did not take it for a test drive after installing them. What the heck? That should be a must. I came home with the car, and the front coilovers made a knocking noise when turning the car, and the rears constantly made rattling noises from the worn mounts on the coilovers. I was not happy with the install, and of course not happy with the coilovers. read more

After hearing and reading praises of this place we decided to get our catalytic converter rebar welded on our truck. We had to go here a total of 3 times. The first time we went, our truck was taken off the ramp. We thought everything was good to go. After paying, my husband went and looked under the truck to see what kind of work was done. NOTHING WAS THERE! So not only did they NOT weld the bar on, they already CHARGED us the money! So we had to wait another weekend. The second time we went in, they actually remembered to place the bar, and we thought everything would be ok. We noticed a weird sound coming from the front end of the truck. Now I don't know too much about cars but if I could tell something didn't sound right, something wasn't right. And finally. The third and final time, we went back, come to find out the guy who welded the bar put a hole in one of our pipes. They fixed the issue, but our whole experience was very unprofessional. From charging us for work that wasn't done to a hole in our pipe, makes me question this companies intentions. read more

Took my car here for a custom catback exhaust. Called in at 1pm, talked to Skylar, who have me his honest opinion on what I wanted and made on the spot professional recommendations. Went in, and had my car in the air in no time. Skylar and his one other co worker ran the shop by themselves while they both worked on a car. Just went to 209 Muffler & Performance because I thought I needed a new muffler because my truck was so noisy all of the sudden ! As it turns out, someone had tried to steal my catalytic convertor! (Bastards!) Anyway, Chris Bishop was very cool - a locally grown Stockton boy, and very straight up. He raised it up, repaired the cuts where the bastards had sliced at it, and then covered/protected the area with rebar to prevent it from happening again. All done within 20 minutes!!! And it was very inexpensive (any car repair under $50.00 is cheap, right?!) For the ladies: He's cute and the place is full of smiling, friendly MEN! For the men: Seems to offer a lot of other services, no bullshit, well stocked & clean. My dad was impressed and he's usually the big critic. Would go back again and recommend to others! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I came in today because I had an appointment set up a couple days ago. Turns out they never even set up my appointment date. On top of that we explained to the person on the phone that we had driven more than an hour and he simply did not care. They said that they were closing early and kept asking who made the appointment. This place was not professional at all! Would not recommend this place to anyone you will be disappointed and by reading all the other reviews I can see I'm not the only that thinks this! I went there a couple of days ago to change my axleback. I told them what i wanted and they quoted me $45. Thats pretty good comparing other places i called and wanted to charge me 60+. Was in and out in about 30 mins. Not sure of the fellow that actually did the work but he does an excellent job. He adjusted the tip to where I wanted it perfectly. I highly recommend this shop if you know what you are looking for to have done. Would recomment to friends and family if they need things done. read more

It all started when I needed a smog, a friend referred me to this place so I went and I needed a new catalytic converter my transmission flushed and a transmission speed sensor. I bought the transmission fluid separately had him do all that for $500. I have to wait for 6 hours to have them finish this. Then I go to get the car smogged and the people at the smog place told me that my catalytic converter was not a California approved because it did not have California registration number stamped on it. So I drive back over to 209 Motorsports I have to wait for an hour before someone talks to me. Finally I walk up to the counter and two of them are sitting there chit-chatting and I ask what's taking so long they said. O, let's go check your car out now. They looked at it and could not find the registration number so they told me they'd have to take the cat back off turn it around and then I'll be good to go. But I had to leave and come back the next day because they're exhaust guy was not there at 3:40 in the afternoon . So I had to drive back again from Manteca to Stockton hand them the car at 11 o'clock and took a uber back home. Waited till about 4:20 and I had to call them back to tell me my car was going to be ready at 5 I picked it up and it looks like a different catalytic converter. They broke my bolts on my exhaust manifold, but they put new ones on and they welded the cat directly onto the exhaust manifold flange definitely not the cleanest welds I've seen. Of course I did not get charged more for them to do the job right the second time! Which they should have done in the first place. Also I had a PCV hose that needed to be replaced which is only about 4 inches long I asked him to do that and they said they did not know where the hose Ran So they didn't want to do it. I took off my air intake and there was easy as pie plain as day. Total Car Care my butt! I told the owner Chris that I needed my money back for what it cost me to use uber round trip which was $44 he gave me fifty but was reluctant to do so. He was also Unapologetic and did not seem to care about his customers. I would not recommend the shop to anyone. My car does work but only after a lot of headaches and wasted time and money. read more

I am now going on my third visit here and 6&1/2 hours of waiting here for a very simple exhaust job. The first visit they stripped a manifold bolt putting the exhaust back on and sent me on my way with a leaking new exhaust after waiting 3 hrs for the repair. Went back the next day and they looked at it and said they couldn't fix it because the guy that fixes stripped bolts wasn't going to be in until the next day. Went back the third Day and the kid did get the repair started on time at 8am. It is now 10;30 and still waiting on a gasket that any muffler shop should have in stock!! They dont go out of their way nor seem to care about their customers. Never one apology from the owner! Unless your retired and have nothing but spare time for multiple visits, waiting approx. 3 hrs ea time, I would recommend getting your work done somewhere else. I am one very unhappy customer that lost the equivalent of a full days work and pay because i chose 209 muffler. Lesson learned. read more

Horrible customer service. I needed tips and tubing to replace my muffler. I spoke to the owner Chris Bishop on12-31-12 and he said he would call me with price and availability of parts. Jan 2nd, 3rd and 4th passed and still no return call. I was in the area on Saturday Jan 6th and went by and saw Chris. He apologized that no one had call me saying that one of his workers should have called me with an update and that he had been busy with family obligation. I told him no problem I just wanted him to order the parts I needed and install them. We spoke about the parts that I needed and he said he would put the order in and he should have them by Wednesday 1-9-13. He said he would give me a call when the parts came in. I did not get a call on Wed so I sent a text to Chris on Wed 1-9-13 asking if the parts had arrived. He replied yes and that he would call me on Thursday to set up a time for the appointment. On Thursday afternoon I still had not heard from Chris so I called him and he said that the was busy with a car but that he would call me back. I did not get a call from Chris for the rest of the day. I got a text from Chris the following day on Friday saying that he was working on getting me a new tip. Apparently one of the tips was damaged. I texted him back asking when he think he would have the tip. I got no reply. I called Chris on Monday 1-4-13 and asked if he treated all his customers this poorly. He did not answer. I asked him if I should take by business somewhere else and he said yes I should. This entire process started 14 days ago and I still have nothing to show for it. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in 25 years and I am surprised that 209 muffler's owner Chris Bishop is able to stay in business with the poor customer service he provides. I would avoid doing business with 209 muffler as it does not care about its customers. read more

I get all my cars and trucks done here cause there the best at welding thats why car dealerships go to them. One on of my car the muffler bracket kept braking and every time i go went back they fix it for free. 209 muffler is the worst shop in Stockton. All of there workers play to much, they are rude, and I don't think ALL of there mechanics are licensed. They give you a deadline on when your car is done and when you show up not only is your car not done but they haven't even started it yet. I am a customer from about 6 months ago just haven't had time to do this but today I did. I wish I could give 0 stars but its making me give at least 1. I was looking into full catback exhausts for my 2013 civic si. For about a week I did some research on what I wanted and where I wanted to do it. I started leaning toward this place after looking at alot of reviews on yelp as well as word of mouth. I must say this place had earned every great review and every single star. I spoke to Markie to schedule an appointment and had Chris help me out. The tech working on my car was skyler. Chris was very informative and gave honest opinions on what would be better. I was quoted over the phone for 280 but paid 250. A tad bit expensive but I definitely don't mind if they do the job correctly and make sure it's right. On top of that their work was backed by a lifetime warranty. If I wanted it louder, quieter, etc i can just come back. While I was there it was really busy and they were booked. I could understand why now. If you're looking for great products backed with excellent customer service, I highly recommend them! I was here the last time and received great work...Went back to get a new catalytic converter installed. I was told that i need a 02 sensor since the downstream one was stolen and I didnt want the one from autozone so they said it was ok and i can get the new o2 sensor install when i get it where i wanted to. Got the o2 sensor from ntk. Went to there website and got the write part number and everything. Waited for it be shipped to my house and went to the shop to get it installed. Chris, the manager, said he will install the 02 sensor. I was the only customer at the time since it was like 9 am and he made me wait for 45min while he was calling for stuff to get picked up. He than went to install the o2 sensor. Called me and told me that i bought the wrong one because the plug does not fit and next time i should just buy the one from autozone. I said was he sure i bought the wrong one since i check the website and everything? He said he was positive. I said, ok, no problem, figuring that i may had bought the wrong one. I went home and plug the o2 sensor to the plug and it fits fine. Went back to the shop, told him that I tried the 02 sensor and it fits the plug fine. I told him that the o2 sensor was suppose to be connected to the downstream of the catalytic converter. He said that he didn't know and he was taking off my upstream o2 sensor and plugging in my downstream there. He didnt even apologize and told me that he did not have time to installed the o2 on my car that I have to come on Wednesday because they are close on Tuesday. I thought this shop was a great shop at first before i this situation. If they catalytic converted didn't need to be cut to get the o2 installed than i would had done it myself and not wasted half of my day driving back and forth. The owner, chris, knowing that he made a mistake, should had been responsible to get my o2 install like a great shop should of. Especially when the customer corrected your mistake and drove all the way back to your shop to get it fix and you tell him to go home and come back in two days. This was a very bad owner and should learn in the future that he needs apologize when he did wrong and actually fix the customer problem. I am disappointed in this shop. chris the owner is a cool guy,,, iif u come here to get some work talk to him and "only" him,,,, there is an employee by the name of robert, they call him the mustang boi....stay away from him,,, i had him install what i thought we agreed were shorty bbk headers and to my surprise when i went to pick up my car i had long tube bbk headers on,,,,not a big deal i said to myself, a simple misunderstanding on his part for sure,,, but no, mustang boi kept insisting it was my fault, even after i showed him my copy of the signed estimate.. long story short,,after 30min of bs.. chris came in told me to drive it try them out and if i liked it jus pay the difference,, i did, i liked it, and payed the 200$ difference.. i didnt mind paying the extra cash even if i didn't approve the work because that would have meant me leaving my car there again and getting charged for something else i didnt know about...people should just acknowledge their mistakes instead of throwing them on others,,, especially paying customers.. for further reference mustang boi is a goofy looking pale guy with a name tag of rob on his wornout shirt,, u can't miss him..... read more
