I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful, but people need to know if the machines run properly and they do not. The machines are old and really dirty. I've had to rewash my clothes because the soap does not seem to drain off, or the soap does not seem to go in into the washer. It's hard to tell how much detergent to use. Hopefully the owners will take this into account and make changes. I do not wish for these people to lose business but you have to have better machines. Love this place! My go-to when I need a good coin laundry place. As Danielle S. pointed out, this place has AC - which is a big deal! They have older machines which are 1.50 a load, and they have newer high efficiency side loading machines which are 3.00 a load - both seem to be pretty adequate. They have multiple change machines which can break large bills. The dryers are awesome though...they are huge and dry super fast. I combined two large loads into one unit and they dried in less than an hour. I think it's about 25cents per 8 minutes which is very fair. The areas to fold your clothes are spacious and clean too. The place used to be walking distance to Waldo's...but it's a shame that it's now closed :( Nevertheless, this is a great laundromat/wash&fold that I find myself coming back to all the time! read more

One of the perks about this place is that it's located right in the neighborhood at the corner of 11th and Cortlandt. You'll find yourself paying about $1.75 for their few top load machines to $4.50 and up for their double and triple load front loading machines. Now this laundromat, although it is an older one and a bit out dated, has what you need to get your laundry done. I don't know about you but my goal when I'm doing laundry is to get in and get out. Lately I've found when I visit, more and more machines have been out of order. Also, a few times I've had to move my laundry once it's already going because the machine was leaking horribly or it just conked out mid wash. The employees have been nice and have reimbursed me if I've had trouble due to a faulty machine. Their dryers are ok for the ones that dry the clothes well. Some of them don't get hot at all and I've found myself switching dryers mid-dry because my clothes felt just as damp as when I first put them in. I may be less brave than most but I refuse to use the restroom here. It always smells horrendous, the floor is always saturated with stuff I don't even want to know where it came from, and there is never any toilet paper or hand soap. Also, if you're in need of a laundry cart, you're going to find yourself in a "battle for the carts" with other patrons because it seems like there are only 10 carts for the whole place even at their busiest times. We always have to hunt a cart down when we visit. It is definitely an inconvenience. I do like how they have their own private lot so parking is never an issue. To me, their best times to visit are in the evening during the week. Out of necessity I find myself coming here more and more. I guess the Heights just needs to add more laundry options. read more

My husband and I moved to the Heights in 2012 and he has brought every single load of dry cleaning here since then. He works downtown and wears a suit and tie every day, so he brings a LOT of dry cleaning in. We haven't had any major problems with them until now. When my husband brought home the last batch of shirts, two white shirts had strange stains on them. It looked like dirty water splatters. He brought them back and asked if they could try to fix it, and they tried a few different things, but the stains wouldn't come out. And when my husband explained to them tonight that something in their system had caused these stains, he was met with an argument that he might have gotten the stains himself and there was nothing they could do. The thing is, these stains on one shirt were on the button line, but only on one side - so my husband was not wearing the shirt when it happened or else it would have gone onto the other side. The stain on the other shirt was on the collar, also an unlikely place for him to have gotten a stain and not noticed. Not to mention, he has not been splattered with any dirty water lately, and especially not any that is so harsh that it can't be removed after professionals try several times. I am writing this review because my husband is sincerely disappointed. He has brought so much laundry there over the years - I have dropped off and picked up a few loads and could barely carry it all - only to be told on the ONE occasion in all that time that he has a problem, that there is nothing that can be done. It's bad business for them to not only accuse him of getting the stain, but also to not try to do anything to keep his business. His shirts are ruined and he and I both know that their machines caused the stains. He can't go there now because who knows what other shirts will be ruined. There are plenty of other dry cleaners around the area, so it's really not a problem, but I guess after two years of seeing the same people over and over again, you start to think of them as neighbors, and you start to hope they would treat you that way. Great laundry lots of washing machines, XXLarge large, medium and small great for large loads like comforters and blankets. Clean it's a little outdated but it's clean very friendly staff. It's on the corner of 11th St. and Corlandt just past Height Blvd. on 11th Street. Plenty of parking. I was pleasantly surprised to find one so close to home. I've lived in the area for two years - have had one dry cleaner lose a cloth belt from a unique dress and try to replace it with something that didn't match, and another dry cleaner was consistently late returning my clothing. I turned to Yelp looking for an alternative and found 11th Street Cleaners. There are probably 20 cleaners that are closer to my house, but 11th street is worth the drive. 1) They are open super early and late, 2) Cleaning is done on site, and 3) Possibly the most reasonable prices for dry cleaning I've ever encountered. read more

I've used the dry cleaning services here many times, and I have to say I can't recommend them. If you're looking for consistent, excellent dry cleaning, this is not the place. Shirts are frequently returned to me with missing buttons, and they didn't remove a very minor stain on a shirt. My worst experience was when I dropped off a large dry cleaning order, and through mislabeling they only gave half of it to my girlfriend when she picked it up. Avoid using their dry-cleaning, shirt laundering, and wash and fold services. I recently took these folks two suits and several pair of wool trousers to be dry cleaned, 18 shirts to be laundered and pressed, and 20 or so pounds of sheets, towels, and work-out clothes to be washed and folded. I packed all of the items to be dry-cleaned into one laundry bag labeled "Dry Cleaning," the 18 shirts into a separate laundry bag labeled "Laundry NO STARCH," and the items for wash and fold into a third laundry bag labeled "Wash and Fold." Of course the words "DRY CLEAN ONLY" were clearly printed on the laundry care tag sewn into each woolen garment. The clerk gave me a separate receipt for each bag, assured me that she understood what items needed which type of cleaning, and said that all items would be ready to for pick-up after 5:00 pm two days later. Four days later, I stopped off on my way home from the office, and presented my three receipts to a different clerk. She quickly disappeared out-of-sight. Several minutes later, she and a somewhat older woman wheeled a cart containing all of my clothing up to the counter. Every single piece of clothing and all of the sheets and towels that I left with them was now hanging on wire hangers. All of it had been washed, dried, before being hung on hangers. My suit coats and every pair of trousers were crusted with laundry detergent and had noticeably shrunk. None of the shirts had not been pressed, and all of them now sported a pinkish tinge as did all my sheets, towels, and work-out clothes. My shock quickly became rage when the older lady pretended that there was nothing wrong with my clothes, sheets, or my towels or with the way in which they had been all been washed together before being dried and hung on wire hangers . . . . That visit cost me more than $3,000.00 in ruined clothing and stained sheets and towels, as well 15 or so hours of wasted time. PLEASE learn from my mistake. Just stay away from this business, its owners, and its epic customer service failure. read more

Mold! Mold! Mold!!!!! If you don't mind mold and nastiness it's fine. I tried to find a washer with no mold and found one. Then my quarters got stuck and they would not refund me or give me another mold-free washer. They knew it was as a problem because after I reported the issue, the lady came to check out the machine with a butter knife in her had. I'm sure this has been a problem before. Then she gets a screw driver. Then tells me there is nothing she could do and that it was my fault because I should have reported it. Ummmm I did!!!! I'm going back to 24 hour laundromat on Chimney Rock because they are clean and no mold in washers although they are further away from me. read more

I have used the wash and fold service many times, and I love it. The people are nice, the service is inexpensive, and if you really need it, you can get same day service. Usually it's next day service. I have used many wash and fold services in my time, and this is one of the best and least expensive in Houston. Hangers for whatever you tell them to put on hangers, folding for the things you want folded. Great value, great service. I highly recommend them. What a treat to have someone else do the laundry for me while I spend the time on what I want to do. All thumbs up. And they take credit cards. read more

Called to get information about services and rates. Asian woman answered the phone and gave me pricing for dry cleaning shirts and trousers. When I asked her about sweaters, she told me to come in because she had a lot of customers. I told her that I had over 80lbs of wash and fold then suddenly she became interested. This review is for the dry cleaning services provided, as well as their (lack of) customer service. My husband and I started bringing our dry cleaning here about 8 months ago, and the past few times noticed that about 6 or 7 of our shirts came back with odd stains on them that we were certain weren't caused by us. It seems like somewhere in their process clothing was getting stained. I took two of these shirts back to explain the issue and see if they could be cleaned again due to the stains they came back with. When I went in to pick them up, the stains were still on the shirt. The employee on duty called the "manager" over. I told her about the multiple shirts coming back with stains on them, and she wrinkled her face, shook her head, and told me that she didn't cause those stains. I should have known then-and-there that customer service was clearly not this business's priority. A few more attempts to explain that something in their process seemed to be causing the stains -- not her specifically -- and she again shook her head and said I must have caused them. She asked if they could redo the cleaning again, which seemed silly to me since this would have been the 3rd time they tried to clean these shirts. I asked for the damage claim which is posted next to the register (10x the cost of cleaning, up to $30) and she told me she wasn't paying that to me. So, I was essentially told I was a liar, and that they wouldn't honor one of their own posted policies. I just noticed that one of the reviews below indicates almost an identical story -- clothing came back with stains, manager / owner doesn't take responsibility, and the customer is blamed. So it seems like I'm not alone. Bottom line -- do NOT take your dry cleaning here. It may be a little cheaper, but this is clearly a case of "you get what you pay for". There are better places elsewhere that actually clean your shirts, and know the meaning of customer service. read more

The staff here was friendly, however the wash and fold and dry cleaning was not what I expected. The price for wash and fold was absolutely amazing, but my dry cleaning was a bit on the pricey side for 3 items. My clothes came back faded from the wash and fold and did not smell fresh at all. There were some slight tears on my daughter's school uniforms. When I picked up my clothes it was then that I saw a sign stating fading and tears on thin fabric is not uncommon, basically. Anyway, I have tried another place not too far and a total difference. My clothes smelled so fresh and they added woolite to help with fading, the price is a dollar more, but I guess you get what you pay for. I really wanted to like this place because the staff was great and prices were right..... the quality of the work is the only negative. read more

Do not go here. I brought my clothing to the wash and fold before I take my trip out of town. The lady behind the counter told me that I would be able to pick it up after 2pm. I came back to the store at 7pm and asked for my clothing. The lady behind the counter told me that they were extremely busy and that they need a couple of days to get my clothing back. I immediately asked for my clothing back so I can get it washed somewhere else. The lady immediately walked to the other lady working and started whispering. She then told me that they are extremely busy and they need a couple of days. I once again asked for my clothing and they again started whispering. They told me that they could give it to me tomorrow. I told them I would need it tomorrow morning before my trip. I came home not happy about the situation, but perfectly fine with getting it early so I can pack and leave. I got a call 30 minutes later and the same lady that LIED to me about being "extremely busy" told me that they gave my clothing to someone else and they hope that the person would be honest and give my clothing back. When I pointed out that she lied she gave me a story that she didn't know it was my clothing that was given away. This is another lie, because why would they be telling me two days for my clothing and that they were so backed up which is the same time frame I should wait that they would want me to wait to see if they give me back my clothing. To add insult to injury they would only give me 30 dollars to replace my clothing. I usually pay 25 dollars to wash my clothing with them. One of the clothing items that they gave away probably cost more than the measly 30 dollars they are planning to give me. This place is dishonest and they will lie and tell you anything once they mess up. They will also not even try to replace the items that they lost. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I took my wedding dress to 11th Street cleaners and they preformed nothing short of a miracle! My silk satin dress had been DESTROYED during my outdoor reception in the Caribbean. Mud and dirt ran at least a foot up the train and all along the bottom of the dress (flip flops and a lot of dancing attributed to this). My family thought it would be hopeless and for sure I would need to cut the dress and have it completely altered if I ever hoped to have anyone where it again..... Not So! A couple days ago I received a call from the cleaners just to let me know that they couldn't 100% guarantee all the stains would be removed. I told them to do their best and that I appreciated the call. I got the dress from the cleaners today and it looks brand new! They were able to get almost every stain removed and the couple that do remain are super faint and right along the bottom edge so no one would be able to notice. Great work and great costumer service! They will always be my cleaners :) read more

What customer service? I've been looking for a new dry cleaners since I moved offices and I drive by this place on my way to grocery. So I thought I would give it a try. I had a large order-26 pieces of mostly men's shirts and a couple pairs of pants. However, when I picked up my clothes I was missing a pair of pants. The "manager" looked and looked and finally called someone to ask. In the meantime, I looked through the claim tickets and saw they were billing me for more items than I had. When the "manager" returned she explained that I could pick up my pants the next day and corrected my bill. Ok, it's a little inconvenient but not too bad and I really need a new cleaner. When I come back the next day to re-claim my pants the manager screams from across the room, "NO PICKUP BEFORE SIX PM. I TOLD YOU YESTERDAY!". Ok, wow. It was three o'clock, but she had not told me after 600 and besides it should have been ready at 600 the day before! I come back at 600 to claim my pants and to tell her that I won't be coming back because she yelled at me and she seemed surprised. BTW my pants were hanging behind the counter since I was there at 300. This was my first and last time with this place. Buyer beware!!! It may be a good laundromat but Its a terrible cleaners. read more
