My favorite Senegalese restaurant. Food is great and you get a really good portion size

Didn't take pics but will be going back. My fiance and I loved the food. This spot is a little gem.

Had the whole fish and the plantains and it was great! If you get a chance this is an awesome African restaurant on the west side.

I drive over an hour to enjoy this food on a monthly basis. If you haven't tried this before what are you waiting on?

I was thinking this would be a full size portion but I received a tiny portion of rice with 2 plantains. One plantain was good the other was tiny and burnt. I had one oxtail on the smaller side with bone, one very small chunk of boneless oxtail meat, and one small chunk that was essentially boneless tendon texture and fat. While tasty, this is smallest oxtail and rice I've ever had for the price. The jollof was ok, definitely not worth $10 especially with the burnt crispy plantain. There was another vendor with jollof rice at Taste of Cincinnati with much bigger portions for much less but they didn't have oxtail which is why I tried this truck.

And yes, it was quite a wait, at both the ordering line and the pickup line. But it was definitely worth it. I ordered the Suyo, basically grilled beef coated with a peanut sauce. It was amazing -- the beef was tender, and the peanut "sauce" was more like a paste, coating every part of the beef well. And the flavor with a complex, delicious kick that I can't quite describe -- I tasted peanut, but also a complex combination of spices that were delicious. Add to this a colorful, beautifully-designed, easily-recognizable truck, and friendly servers. I've now checked out their website, and will be looking for them at their next appearance. Maybe next time I'll try the Jollof Rice and plantains.
