We walked into this restaurant without a reservation and were seated immediately which was surprising for a party of 6! The staff was extremely welcoming and very attentive. The food was very fresh and all delicious! Would definitely recommend! I had the apple pecan salad which I loved and the grilled chicken was very tasty. My friends enjoyed the arugula salad, grilled cheese, turkey burger, and chicken sandwich. My friend is gluten free and was able to get a GF bun which she said was very good! We literally stumbled upon here while in Hudson for the weekend, walked by, people looked happy inside. Probably one of the more comical way to describe it. We didn't look anything up, didn't really look at the menu, just watched people exiting laughing happy etc. so we went in. We opted to sit on the bar side at a table, server came right over to greet us, super friendly, we had a few apps, and pasta, it was pasta night special. We tend to take a drive from Kingston most weekends and grab lunch somewhere. Decided on a trip north on 2/15 and chose 225 because of its good looking menu and lack of pretentiousness. Was greeted at the door by a very friendly and happy hostess and seated in the front with the windows. The table and place setting were immaculate. The bartender (maybe her name was Stephanie?) was also our waitress. She did a great job but I bet even the best of the best could be in the weeds waiting tables and tending bar during busy times so chill and have some patience. We ordered the apple pecan salad (me), chicken caesar wrap (hubs) and we split the shrimp taco appetizer. Salad was so amazingly fresh and light. My husband said the wrap was really tasty and we fought over the the sweet potato fries that came with it. Could only eat one of the tacos because we were full but they were seriously some of the best I've had, even the leftovers enjoyed later. A really light batter (rice flour maybe?), a nice slaw and a touch of heat from the sauce made for a perfect bit. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is the shell itself wasn't all that soft but that's personal preference. We each had a Diet Coke (with a free refill) and it came to $65.00 without tip. Very reasonable prices in our opinion. The vibe overall was very relaxed. Definitely a locals kind of place and one we will absolutely take a drive for again. As a matter of fact I commented to my husband that I was glad we were sitting at 225 instead of being with the weekenders wandering in and out of Le Perche across the street. My wife really like the scallops and vegetables but she didn't really care for the saffron rice. The sides were very also. Service was average for a non crowded restaurant. First time to 225 Warren and what a treat! Went for lunch and thought the food was good and fresh, with some creative takes on more standard offerings. I had the Warren grilled chicken sandwich with shoestring sweet potato fries; it included a spicy mayo that gave the sandwich the perfect kick. One of my friends got the BLT, and the other got the fish tacos -- everyone was happy! We also liked the portion sizes -- not too much, not too little. Perfect for lunch! When I was looking up places to eat in this area - I found multiple blogs that had recommended this establishment so I knew that I had to try when I was visiting. The place itself is cozy and had both indoor and outdoor seating - since it was super hot the day that we went, we decided to opt for indoor seating. The lunch menu reminded me of elevated bar food - which I cannot complain about since I love bar food. We decided to go with the Fish and Chips which were amazing - the fish was so crispy and it was seasoned perfectly (not too salty but still enough flavor) and we subbed in onion rings which were also amazing. The onion rings were perfectly fried and the flavors were just amazing. We also went with crispy fried jumbo wings in garlic parm. The flavor for the wings were good but the wings itself was just meh. It was not crispy or fried enough for my likely and it was just alright - honestly I would pass on them. Stopped in here on a Wednesday for a retirement party for a loved sister in law. Our first visit to Hudson NY! Easy on street free parking was found quickly with a short walk to the establishment. Staff was friendly and helpful . The Bartender Sarah was awesome! She made my wife an awesome Blood Orange Cosmo and I enjoyed a perfect Manhattan. The environment was modern, clean and the party finger food was enjoyable and tasty. We definitely plan on returning on day trips through the area to experience their regular menu! read more

Had a wonderful lunch at 225 Warren! They have a lot of menu options and I appreciate that ... so many Hudson restaurants seem to have a limited menu. We tried buffalo chicken dip (quite spicy, heavy tabasco taste). Onion rings, fried green beans, fish tacos, shrimp and asparagus tempura, and cheeseburgers were excellent. Wow. Exceeded expectations in every way! Came in from the city and our first stop was to this bar. We were greeted with sights of the witches bar crawl which looked so fun. Service: excellent! We were checked in on by Anthony and the entire staff multiple times to make sure our experience was on point. Food: Wow! I must say I was expecting great food in Hudson and I was not disappointed. We had the mozzarella sticks, Kobe burger and the pulled pork sandwich. The mozzarella was delicious however the portion was on the smaller size. The Kobe burger was the juiciest I have had. Absolute perfection. The pulled pork was generous and had such a well balanced sauce for the pork-yness. I'm so impressed by the quality of food and thanks so much for giving us an amazing dining experience. Def will be returning again! read more

I've only had lunch at 225 why probably because I can never find parking near the restaurant but believe me it's worth the search for a space. Normally I get the French dip sandwich I'm kinda addicted to it it's simply delicious with that horseradish aioli and the ciabatta bread. It's so good that even though I've tasted the other dishes my wife orders and they're terrific I can't resist that French dip except the last time I went there on a Wednesday they had "heel" specials. The heel is the end of an Italian bread. They had pepperoni parm, meatball parm or a combo with both. After some agony I decided to try the meatball heel which the waitress said was huge. It even came with a side for $12 . It was the BEST MEATBALL HERO/HEEL IVE EVER HAD ! And I'm Italian and 75 years old. They get this great Italian bread hollow it out so it's almost all crust and stuff it with amazing meatballs sauce and cheese. I don't care where you are make a pilgrimage to this place !!! Our server, Frank, was excellent. My only concern was I wished the server had reminded us of the $3 charge to substitute for the side of chips....salad, fries, etc. Also, telling us verbally about the 3.8% fee for using a credit card would have been appreciated. After a long day of driving to Ghent, NY, from Manhattan to see the art installations at Art Omi, my party of four decided to check out the restaurants on Warren Street in Hudson for dinner. We were recommended 225 by the girls at Love Apple Farm, where we were disappointed to see that their kitchen was closed for the day. We were looking for farm to table food, and we were told 225 had a great menu. ...and have a great menu it did. My group had a very difficult time choosing what to order given the sheer range of offerings - from standard pub grub to seasonal selections with pumpkin and cranberry (yum!). We landed on the gnocchi, ravioli and two chicken Parmesans (as pictured), which is apparently what this spot is known for. We all enjoyed our meals but I hate to say that none of the dishes were that memorable. I wouldn't say the chicken parm was in my top 10 of all time. The gnocchi certainly was not. So I'm removing a star because it really wasn't that special. The atmosphere was great, and the server was adorable. Things came out promptly. I loved the creativity of the cocktails too. If in the area again, I'm not sure if I'd return. There were many other places along Warren that seemed great (and quite possibly could've been better? Who knows!). read more

Dropped in for dinner and it was absolutely delicious! We ordered fried calamari and garlic Parmesan fries to start with; the calamari was seasoned very well and breaded perfectly while the fries were crispy with the right amount of garlic and Parmesan. Boyfriend ordered filet mignon and it came out medium rare, just as he requested it. He enjoyed the flavors of the steak which complemented the mashed potatoes and green beans. The vinaigrette dressing paired well with my apple-pecan salad, which was made with all the right components to complement each other. They do offer indoor seating, which was great for me given the recent chilly evenings. Cool little place on lower Warren Street. This was our first visit here and the staff were all super friendly and efficient. The bar is up front with dining in the back so there was a good noise buzz going on this Saturday night. Loud enough for a fun feel and quiet enough to have conversations. Nice menu with some pub classics so I went for the Reuben but also had calamari as a starter. The calamari was super tender, breading had good seasoning but the tomato based dipping sauce was the star here. Nice and hot and a great balance for this plate. The Reuben was served on a nice rye toast. Sandwich was fine but nothing special but no complaints. I got house made chips as a side and they were thick Cut and crispy and a nice addition. Their beer selection was good with some nice IPAs on tap. Street parking is available but don't hesitate to walk a few blocks and take in all that Warren Street has to offer. We arrived at the Hudson train station in the midst of a rain storm. We had a few hours before we could check into our B&B, so we waded up Warren Street. We were warmly greeted by the host who helped us find a place to stash our luggage and we sat down at the bar. I got a BLT, which was great. We also had some mixed drinks with our late lunch. Everyone here was really friendly. I hope to visit Hudson again, and I will certainly come back here. read more

They do not offer American yellow mustard with their burger and only offer brown spicey mustard. Very disappointing. I ordered a burger, cooked medium but I got an overcooked dry patty and when I asked for mustard, I was given brown mustard and told, "No one ever asks for yellow mustard." That's odd considering that yellow mustard outsells spicy mustard by 10 to 1. Shouldn't a restaurant advertising and offering American food have the most popular condiment in America? Nope, not this one. They're too posh. The bar was loud, service was slow, waiters were ditzy with bad attitudes, food was dry and drab. There's a saying in business, give the customers what they want. Not this place. read more

Mediocre diner food at NYC prices. Pasta was overcooked in a watery, cold sauce. Rice was remarkably similar to Rice-A-Roni. The rest was made with the help of Chef Mike. My boyfriend accidentally spilled his full drink seconds after the waiter brought it over. They offered another one but ended up charging for both anyway. We walked away feeling unsatisfied with the service and repulsed by the food. There's a $19 hotdog down the street that is more desirable, both for your taste buds and your wallet. read more

I am very grateful for 225 Warren. The sports bar life has all but disappeared due to COVID -- obviously far from the most serious aspect of the pandemic, but still sad. I just love rolling up to a sports bar, snagging a seat at the bar and watching a game. Even before I was coupled, I used to take myself on solo dates to watch the MLB postseason or any Eagles game that was airing, order something on draft and just soak up the energy. If I was lucky, I'd find another Philly Phaithful to commiserate with (yes, commiserate is the correct word in this case given that Philly Nation is also Letdown Central), which was rare given my patronage of New York City sports bars. In any case, watching big games in bars is a pastime of mine I'd all but forgotten, but the stars aligned recently and I ended up at 225 Warren. Relatively upscale as far as sports bars go (and obviously not packed with rowdy fans given social distancing), down to earth staff and a solid drink selection make this a great place to hang out and watch a game. It's the only sports bar in Hudson, so thank god it's a good one! Came here midweek at the end of October to watch the World Series. They had indoor and outdoor seats (ample sidewalk/street space) and all indoor tables are sufficiently spaced. They allowed us to sit at the bar and there was only one other party up there, easily 12 feet or so from us. Felt very safe. There's a decent drink selection here, with plenty of cocktails, wine, beer, etc. to choose from. I foolishly started with a cocktail (the Gin Pear Fizz) which wasn't *bad* but if you're a snobby mixology nerd like me, save your sugary beverages for Wm Farmer and Sons or Lawrence Park and just stick to standards here. I tried two different ciders after this, both of which were fantastic. One dry, one sweeter, both hit the spot. The bf stuck with beer on draft, something that brought him abundant joy. Given the fun new food-with-drink rule (at least in New York state), we planned to have dinner here as well. We started with the hummus/veggie plate to get in our greens (and we were hungry so we needed a starter on top of our mains), and then got the Greek salad to stay on-theme. I do love my Mediterranean food. Nothing show-stopping but did the job. The bf got the burger and said it was fantastic. It's a fairly broad food menu so there's definitely something for everyone here. Finally, just want to give a shoutout to the staff here. Everyone was very kind and generous, and let us finish our drinks despite the fact that we overstayed our welcome a bit (sorry, we forgot that closing time was 9pm!). And I might be remembering incorrectly, but I believe one of the bartenders here is the daughter of the man who opened 225 a while back. Add this place to the list of restaurants that I went to during a pandemic and can't talk about really anything other than their take out food. I'd read good things about Warren Bar and Grill online, and since I was visiting the area, I figured I'd give it a try. The service was friendly, and ordering over the telephone was easy. I wish I could speak more about the atmosphere or the service. The space from what I saw was nice though, and they had a few tables outside also. My takeout experience was relatively average. I think that it had more to do with the fact that pub-style takeout food doesn't travel all too well. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, mozzarella wedges, the black bean burger, and the Warren Chicken Sandwich. The spinach artichoke dip was great; the rest of the food was pretty typical, unfortunately. Overall, I was happy with my experience here, but I would have been just as happy with frozen food for the night. Again, it is more about the type of food and traveling with it than the food itself, and I'd definitely give this place a try post-pandemic to compare. read more

I walked up and down Columbia St and decided to land here for lunch (just me) I ordered the garden grill burger. It came on a sesame roll instead of the brioche the menu implied. The burger itself looked like one of those Dr. Praegers microwaveable burgers. Went here with friends yesterday and had a great time! We had the spinach artichoke dip as our appetizer and that was really good - was a little thrown off about the chips though - maybe include flat bread and chips? But the dip itself was kind of addicting. Then I had a French dip sandwich and that was cooked really well and they also put a good amount of cheese on the sandwich - I'm all for that. I also got a frozen pinky, which was also well made and I could taste the alcohol but it wasn't a strong taste. The staff was a little too loud for my liking while talking at the bar, and I can only imagine how loud that place gets at night! The acoustics of the place do not help. Doesn't bother me enough not to go again. A Sunday afternoon is probably the best time to go. Definitely recommended! read more

This is the second time I've had dinner at this restaurant, the first time I see year ago and I ordered a salmon and I have no flavor. Then yesterday I decided to waste my time and have the Fish and chips, come on fish and chips who can mess it up? But when your fish is fried so hard that you almost cracked teeth biting into it somethings gone wrong. It was almost as if they gave me a piece of wood instead of fish. The two stars are for the french fries which are delicious. The lemonade also lacked flavor. Beautiful atmosphere and a decent crowd but don't be fooled the food is not worth it. Stopped by to grab a quick bite for dinner before heading back to the city. The food was good and drinks were great! We ordered the calamari for appetizers and they were fresh. You can tell by the soft texture of the calamari itself. The sauce was awesome. It complements the calamari very well. I just wish that there was slightly more sauce. By the end we were scraping the bottom of the sauce tin. I got the fish tacos as my entrée. They were delicious. However, I must say they overdid it with the cole slaw. I believe there was some aioli sauce in the taco as well but the overwhelming amount of slaw that was on it overpowered it all. Plus, the slaw had way too much mayo and not enough seasoning. My bf got the dipped sandwich with a side of slaw and sweet potato fries. The sandwich tasted amazing. It would've been perfect if the au jus was in a bigger container. It's our first time up in Hudson and we were in search of some quick brunch before our friends wedding. After walking a quarter of a mile down the main strip past a bunch of spots that looked like they were built in the 1970s, we happened upon 225 Warren. Upon walking inside it was immediately a nice change of pace from the dated places that may or may not be haunted. The staff working here were super attentive and nice and couldn't have been more friendly. The food was great, nothing too fancy but all of our dishes were done well and delicious. I got the garden salad, fish tacos, and Philly roll up and would definitely recommend all of them.
