So glad I found this coffee shop. I was an hour and a half early for my Amtrak trip and the station was right across the street from this coffee shop. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. She offered to warm up my gluten-free pistachio muffin which was delicious. I also had a latte with oat milk. The coffee shop was very comfortable and clean.

Love this place! It's right next to the train station on a quiet street outside downtown. Pastries were delicious and tasted homemade. We got a decaf latte and a cold brew, both were great and super reasonably priced. Interior is super cute too, we'll definitely be back soon to try their house-made syrups, which are all Lord of the Rings themed.

    Hot Spiced Chai!

The reviews weren't wrong, the chai here is absolutely delicious. I ordered a spiced chai based off the lady working recommendation and it did not disappoint. They have a cool funky little spot as well. Unfortunately (and I'm assuming) because they are on the other side of the train station they were not very busy. Go check out this cute little spot while you are in town!

This cafe is located on the far end of Old Town Fredericksburg, just a few steps from the Amtrak/VRE tracks. Located on a corner and with parking in the rear, this is a great spot to try for some regular drip and specialty coffee drinks. They also have breakfast sandwiches made every morning, along with muffins and other sweets. This cafe is inviting and can be a great place to hang out and study. I had the regular drip coffee from Honduras and it was light yet bold. I also had the egg, cheese, and bacon breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I love that it was real cheddar cheese, not Kraft singles. It was filling and quite tasty. I also tried the chocolate caramel monkey bread muffin and it was delicious. Messy but worth it. This coffee bar also has a side window where you can order to-go. It's like a drive-thru, but you just walk up to the window. Cool feature. I'll certainly be back!

Was sad to hear that they don't have many vegan food options since they no longer have a pastry chef. So I didn't get any food here. But I got a delicious spicy chai with oat milk and headed back on the road!

This is one my favorite coffee houses in Fredericksburg, VA. It's close to the historic heart of town but still has a private lot for parking which is essential for avoiding the public lots and long walks. 25 30 refers to the latitude at which coffee grows. Accordingly 25 30 features coffees from around the world. On this particular visit I was only looking for a quick caffeine fix, but 25 30 also offers a variety of tasty baked goodies if you're also looking for a snack. There's plenty of seating and you're welcome to linger over your coffee all day if you're so inclined. Service is friendly and fast and they offer a wide variety of coffee based drinks as well as teas along with sugar free syrups and all the alternative "milks". The atmosphere is global and eclectic with comfortable seating and plenty of space. It's always been quiet whenever I've stopped by, so it's a good place to relax and get away from it all over a cup of great coffee.

Vegan gluten free blueberry bakes and blackberry Latte

I had to stop by again while in town for my favorite blackberry latte, I can only find it here. We actually each had two blackberry lattes and vegan muffin and took two chocolate muffins to go. I really like this little place, it is clean, bright and the staff in friendly and knowledgeable. I do wish the shirts did not have skeletons on them, would have gotten one with a coffee theme to take back home. I will be back again.

My 10month old pup and I met my dad at this quaint little coffee shop. My dad sat outside with the puppy while I went inside to get us some beverages; coffee for me, water for dog. The employee was extremely friendly and let me know that my dog was allowed inside as long as he didn't get on the furniture. I explained that although he probably wouldn't get on the furniture, he was a little rambunctious at the time, so it was probably best that he stayed outside. She couldn't find the dog bowl they usually let dogs use, so she just got me a plastic container instead. Great customer service! That mixed with a great tasting cold brew... I will most definitely be back!

Used to be a great, low key place near the train station. Now everything is an upcharge so it's spendy but still not trendy. 75 cents extra for skim milk? Come on.

A view from a coffee shop suspended in time.

If I wasn't such a coffee snob, this place would surely be awarded the big five! 25 30 has unassumingly managed to create a perfect ambiance that screams suspended in time. It's the combination of a vintage red brick building across the way and the roar of the Fredricksburg train line as I look out at the station, that sets me back to days when caffe latte was a word found only in Italian dictionaries and drip was the everyday caffeine dose. Thankfully for fellow coffee lovers, they honor the bean here and don't serve drip coffee after 9:00. After that, it's all about the pour over and espresso drinks. my soy latte was creamy and smooth and definitely worlds better than anything else local! 25 30 scores four stars rather than five because my standard for coffee is unreasonably high, but hey, at least I set high standards! It's also a star down because the inside ambiance simply doesn't match the amazing organic asthetic that is this old town industrial area. It's cozy and quaint, but there's definitely a disconnect between the inside decor and the stunning red brick across the road. My favorite coffee shop in Freddie and definitely worth the walk from the main Freddieberg drag!

Made by Tom, the always beautiful and luscious cortado.

Coffee is mediocre. It has a sour after taste. I'm not a fan of the animals in an eating/drinking environment.

Today, they didn't really have that many food options. They mentioned that they were doing this because of the weather. However, the patrons that flooded into the place would potentially advertise that they were actually quite busy. I was not super impressed with the options ,as a vegetarian, I was hoping that there would be at least one quiche or breakfast option that didn't have meat out of the 3 options. I was also quite disappointed that they didn't have any of their breakfast wraps, which seemed to take over their food feed on yelp. I opted for the egg salad sandwich as it was the only food item I could eat. My biggest complaint was definitely the service. I ordered a food option and a coffee drink, and the barista made everyone else's food in line behind me before even making my coffee. It was obvious that she kept running around to grab additional items that should have been stocked before the store was open. If you are in a rush, this is definitely not a spot to grab something. Above and beyond this, there is a sign at the front that says they can't print out receipts, which is something that in my mind is not OK. Overall, the food that we had was really good. I was 0% impressed with the coffee. I always find it very strange when an iced drink comes in a paper cup without a straw. We were not given utensils for both of our food items, just one, and there were so many customers that I just decided to use a knife to eat what fell out of my sandwich.

As usual, my wife started looking for a place we haven't been before. Having been in Fredericksburg now for almost 2 1/2 years, the list of such places is getting shorter. We were out Route 3 west of 95, and she found a place called Affogato Europa Cafe. It's a family-run cafe and bakery featuring pastries, sandwiches, coffees, and lots of other sweets. It was a very clean, friendly looking place. We looked at the menu and my wife decided to have a Beef and Onion Burek, which is a traditional Balkan flaky pastry filled with, in this case, beef and onions. It was fantastic. Very flavorful and the pastry melted in your mouth. I'm a sucker for anything with the word "breakfast" in it. I had the Balkan Breakfast Panini. This marvelous sandwich contains egg, chorizo, cheese spread, provolone, tomato, and arugula. It was outstanding and the chorizo was very tasty (though a bit hard to bite through). I know I love a sandwich when after I put the last bite in my mouth, I feel a little sad because it is all done. Such was the case here. My wife had a Cortado espresso, which she loved but was a bit strong for me. I had a London Fog, which seemed like a latte with a hint of Earl Gray tea. I loved it, and when my wife tasted it she pronounced it "nummy". She doesn't use that word a lot so when she does I know she loves it. After lunch we split a Lava Cake, which is a small but decadent chocolate cupcake. The dining room was small but comfortable. The servers we encountered at the counter were very friendly. Rest room was very clean. It's not really close to us, but when were shopping out on Route 3, we'll certainly try them again.

There are plastic covers on the chairs, which is practical yes, but takes away from the formality of a tearoom. A couple of the tables were wobbly, and I think they could use one or two smaller tables for twosomes and threesomes. The paper napkins were wrapped the utensils with a cute ribbon which was a nice touch for paper napkins. The main drawback: There was literally a little waste receptacle ON the table! Definitely not appropriate. There's a sort of creepy yet quirky robot that greets you at the front door. It evidently speaks different languages. She's cute though! Her name is Rose. The Victorian afternoon tea was nice, you know okay. I had the cucumber sandwiches (and added chicken salad sandwich for an upcharge) and the tea for $16.95 came with a mini cupcake, a mini scone and a mini cookie. The cuke sandwich was lightly toasted and fresh, the chix salad was on wheat and too mayonnaise-y for my taste. The sweets were delicious. You can choose your sandwich from several options, and your flavor of scone. Today the had raspberry white chocolate, orange cranberry, and blueberry. The Earl Grey cream tea was hot and fresh. Nicely steeped! The teapot and the tea accoutrements were all pretty! The server, Jamie, was sweet and helpful. The shop was also filled to the brim with gifts: jewelry, tea things, figurines, ornaments, candles, soaps and other knickknacks. While I was there the tearoom filled up quickly! Families and guys enjoyed their tea times. However, the ladies behind me were quite loud and rude playing videos loudly of their kids doing "cute" things. So gauche! So uncouth! Not tearoom manners at all! I wanted to take their phones! Ugh! Several customers walked in and ordered from the counter with a large selection of smoothies, boba tea, bubble tea, chai teas, milk teas, coffees, and milkshaplus a huge selection of regular teas: black, herbal, green and white teas. I'd come back, but don't expect the typical English tea experience. It's a bit more low key and casual. Unless you have a large party, you can just walk in without a reservation. I did come back! It was nice that on a Friday, they were open late and we were able to grab a bite! Service was slow on this day because I think only one person was minding the store! I chose the Buckingham Palace tea this time!!
