Cozy atmosphere, and great coffee what's not to like about this place? Maybe the parking...and we got there first thing in the morning.

Got my morning coffee here everyday for a year. Can't beat the location next to the train station in the morning. For a while, they had a table out on the platform with some poor dude shivering his butt off while the ladies were inside across the street. The coffee is generally pretty good, occasionally got stuck with the bottom of the pot eating grinds, but it was usually good. Food options were ok. The staff is usually nice and attentive. read more

My latte was intolerably awful. I hope it was just a bad batch that day. It tasted nothing like a typical latte, maybe it was burnt or the milk was bad? Either way, I didn't notice until I was already away from the shop and driving away or else I would have asked for a re-do. Additionally, the regular coffee tasted pretty watery. Bummer! read more

This is the best Americano I have had in this area. Better than Blackstone (though its having closed is what motivated me to look for another coffee shop on Yelp) and better than the littlecar wash espresso joint on Princess Anne near Route 1. I did purchase a biscuit but plan to have it for lunch so cannot speak to the quality of the food but the biscuit is quite large. read more

I had a medium black coffee, and a blue-berry muffin. This is what I order at most coffee shops I visit, so it serves as a great baseline to compare. Anyways, great coffee, great blue-berry muffin. The barista I encountered was very nice and cheery -- everything you need from a barista. Improvements. You need a better design of your coffee cup! Something that makes the cup and its beautiful contents yours! Embrace it. Own it. Secondly, the only thing holding back the fifth star was the layout/design of the inside of the coffee shop. It needs improvement. I'd rather see some sort of sleeker/hipster couches and tables and such. Can't really describe it because I was only in there for a bit, but work on that and this place can be exceptional! read more

Forget about the crowded lines at Hyperion. Gone are the days of waiting in Starbucks drive-thru at Westwood. The super nice staff here serves up delicious coffee... and there are no lines, ever. Also,I like that the tall Latte comes with 2 shots of espresso. At Starbucks, it is double the price and just one espresso shot. read more

I have passed by this coffee shop for years and only recently started to drop in on an occasional basis. The owners and employees are consistently pleasant and are quite knowledgeable about their coffee. In fact, they approach their coffee with an intensity that I've only seen in specialty shops on the West Coast. This is the only place I have seen in town that offers pour over, Aeropress, and siphon preparations. My experiences here have been so consistently positive that this will be my primary coffee shop in town. If you're serious about your coffee you owe it to yourself to give this place a shot. read more

Excellent coffee served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. The farmer's breakfast sandwich is incredible and I am not that into breakfast sandwiches. Delicious cookies and pastries are baked on site (unlike at Hyperion where they are shipped from a commercial baker in Maryland) and free wi-fi make this place my new fav. Very popular with the commuters but nice and quiet during the day making it an excellent place for reading on one of their couches or getting some homework done. read more

This is the best coffee in Fred. They use REAL milk from Dutch Country. The use organic coffee form Counter Culture. The baristas are super friendly & are educated. They also offer chemex coffee. I love this place. read more

I had high hopes, but was very disappointed. The service was good. But, my mocha (even with half the chocolate syrup) tasted like chocolate milk, with no hint of coffee. The Americano was weak. And I was thrilled that they offered a gluten free breakfast cookie, but it turned out to be rubbery and very bland, though I could tell there were good ingredients in it. And our scone was dry. This little place is tucked away along a one way road out of town under the train bridge. The roaster (trevor?) was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable and passionate. The espresso is the best in the area. Great latte and my gf had a 'smores' mocha. Which wasn't as gross or overwhelmingly sweet as you'd expect. The inside is also surprisingly nice with a relaxed/open vibe. The outside could use a new paint job but perhaps that's what gives it character. read more

The shop itself isn't the most amazing coffee shop, but they make up for it by serving really great coffee. Great coffeehouse. A "go to" place for Fredericksburg. It's in a really cool space near the train station. Staffed by sweet, welcoming workers. Good coffee with some decent eats. The big drawbacks are limited afternoon and evening hours (morning commuters are clearly their target market), a young staff with limited barista experience, and they do not brew decaf (Agora Coffee two blocks away does all day long). Also they charge $4 plus dollars for a large decaf pour over which is overpriced, even compared to Starbucks. read more

Good coffee from a quality roaster, nice folks, pleasant atmosphere.

I love this place. The coffee is great (even to my coffee tastes, which are basically limited to frozen and with chocolate) because these people really love their coffee. They offer several ways to create the perfect cup for you, and are happy to educate you on the different ways and what each process does for the coffee flavor. I love the couches and comfy seats available, and sometimes its nice to sit outside on a beautiful day and watch the trains roll by. Its a kiddo-friendly place, and they even have a small bucket of toys with which kids can play while their parents partake of a handcrafted beverage or a delicious treat made in-house. The staff is great, very friendly and knowledgeable, and the owner is not only all of this, but is dedicated to growing her business and being a good steward of the community. Its exactly the kind of business you want to support: small, local business that knows their stuff, does an excellent job, and who puts out a superior product and service in order to continue to serve the community. By far, the BEST coffee shop in Fredericksburg! Wonderful coffee, super-friendly and cool staff, cozy atmosphere. My friend introduced me to 25 30 a few months ago, and I am now a devoted fan! Kicks Hyperion to the curb, for sure (coffee not as good, employees nowhere near as welcoming, lines way too long). The chai latte is to die for, and the farmer's sandwich is hands-down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had, anywhere. The pies are awesome! I ordered a pumpkin pie along with an apple one for an office party and my co-workers enjoyed every bit of them. I've been touring coffee shops lately and I have to say I had some great coffee here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The best coffee experience in Fredericksburg. The coffee is as high of quality is you are going to find, and there is pretty much never a line. They are very friendly and not too expensive, and the baked treats (peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, rice crispy treats, etc) are definitely worth trying when they are fresh (usually in the morning). The only drawback is they aren't open on Sundays and their Saturday hours are pretty limited. read more

Really like this place. You can get your drip coffee out of something other than a giant urn....pour over, vac pot are options...which by itself is enough for me to recommend.
