I came across this business because I needed a chiropractor close to downtown Phoenix and the Yelp reviews were good and the visit cost without insurance were better than my copay cost with insurance so I thought I would give it a try. The first thing I noticed was that I could schedule an appointment on the business website but I do want to caution others that the doctor still takes patients on a first come first serve basis. I would still recommend that you schedule an appointment online because I had a situation where I wanted to have an adjustment just prior to a vacation and so I scheduled an appointment to the day before I was leaving for my vacation and the evening before I received a text message directly from the Chiropractor, Dr. Troy, that something came up and he would not be able to open his clinic the day of my appointment. I explained I was very disappointed because my hip was out and I was going to be going out of town on vacation but I would try to get in to see another chiropractor by my home. He expressed concern and even reached out to me the next morning via text to make sure that I could get an appointment with another chiropractor. Now for the capabilities of Dr Troy. I have been to quite a few different chiropractors and I have to say he has to be the best chiropractor I have ever been to. He listens to symptoms and what your experience with chiropractors have been in the past and uses that in his adjustments with you. I am grateful for the cost of his services and the location. This was my first time ever going to a chiropractor, and I'm happy to say that I have been changed for the better! This places is truly a bare bones kind of place (get it?!). Upon arrival, you sign in or fill out a new patient form. The office is small, but it fits the needs. The chiropractic table is right behind the reception desk, so there isn't much privacy, if you're okay with that! It's truly an adjustment only type of place, no frills. Dr. Counselman took the time to briefly educate me about chiropractic care, and gave me a quick consult as to what was hurting. He explained the adjustment process to me and then had me lay on the table. He walked me through each step as he was adjusting me. I was in and out in about 25 minutes. If you're someone who goes to a chiropractor frequently just for an adjustment, I recommend $25 Chiropractic. Do not expect a luxury experience, but they will take the best care of you and get you fixed up in a jiffy. I've been battling an on again - off again headache for 2 weeks. Today I woke up with a sharp pain piercing through the left side of my neck so I knew it was time for an adjustment. I used to have a membership with The Joint for quite some time but I too many times some of my sessions went to waste so I knew I had to find another place. I would say if you need a really good adjustment and crack then Troy is your chiropractor. Unfortunately if you have a really bad back and need it done with firm hands and actual cracking happening then the other chiropractor who is on fridays and saturdays is not your guy. Mostly just does light muscle massage but experienced no adjustment happen and still left in pretty ridiculous amounts of pain so I made an appointment to see another clinic today after seeing them. While we were grabbing some early morn coffee, hubby and I decided to visit the $25 Chiro place we've been wanting to go to every time we come through PHX. Just so happened that there were a couple spots available that morning! We headed back to the hotel to get ready and kill some time before our appt. Before I was out of the shower there were no appts left!! It's down town Phx right under the San Carlos hotel. Parking was easy to find as our appoints were on Sat before 10am. When we arrived, we were greeted by Dr. Lee. We filled out forms so Dr. Lee could get an idea of what our issues were. He took hubby first. My husband is a body builder and it's become increasingly difficult for him to find someone to get through the muscle and relieve the tension in his back. Dr. Lee was able to get it done. Dr. Lee mentioned working with athletes on an Olympic team - Like he said, "No Pain, No Spain!" haha Dr. Lee also talked to my husband about having gluteal amnesia and gave him tips on how to correct this! I had a great experience with Dr. Lee as well. I talked to him about my lower back issues and that my pain was mostly on the left side. He laid me on the bed and right away just pin pointed the spot that hurts. He went up my spine and I could feel him pulling the muscle away from it. Immediately I felt the tension loosen. Then he did something I did not expect to bring so much relief. I have a fairly thick donk.. well... Dr. Lee, went under my butt cheek, applied pressure on i dunno what... and relieved the pressure in my hips!! I had never had that happen to me before and THANK YOU for doing that, Dr. Lee! We definitely plan to try making a trip during the week when Dr. Counselman is available. Dr. Lee suggested him to my husband to really get in there and manipulate his back. :) I highly recommend this place! Even if you are just passing through like we were. The visit was only $25 and it was just 10 min of our time. But I tell you what... I plan to visit every time we are in Phx from now on! OH! one thing I do have to mention is that it is an open space. So anyone in the waiting area will hear you discussing your issues. Personally, I don't mind. There was a gentleman in the waiting area while I was talking to Dr. Lee. I wasn't bothered by it, but it may be an issue for someone else. read more

I got my treatment with Dr. Troy, he is the best! He explained the questions very well and make sure I have no concern before I left his office. He very easily to work with too, my shoulder and neck tension really improve better after each visit! And he is very flexible as well, yesterday I scheduled my appointment at 12:00 but my class end little bit late so I send an email said that I maybe end up arrive late today, and he is totally okay with that! I arrived at 12:40pm and still get treatment without any issue! Total length of my visit is just from 10-15 mins-way faster compare to another place which is you always spend like 1-2 hours at the appointment. Dr.Troy is awesome! His dad was a Chiropractor too, so you could even say it's in the blood. He's a genuinely nice person and you can tell he knows what he is doing. As I told him my "back" history(spinal fusion, scoliosis, lower back pain) he listened, and knew how to properly adjust me. He's a tall guy, so he can be a little intimidating as a shorter female because it can be some strong pressure, however, walking out of there I felt even a little taller!
