I did receive a refund for my unused portions of the package I paid for. I enrolled as a complete beginner and made that very clear from the start. Instead of receiving patient instruction, I experienced an instructor (Michael) who became frustrated with beginner mistakes and raised his voice during lessons. It was also extremely fast paced for a 20 lesson full package deal. On my third day I was being taught a 3 point turn and parallel parking when I was not comfortable turning onto roads and being centered on roads. There were also communication and scheduling issues. On one occasion, I arrived for what I believed was my scheduled lesson, only to find out the time had been changed without any phone call, email, or text notification. Despite the instructor being available, I spent approximately 40 minutes sitting in the vehicle while he stopped at McDonald's and handled personal matters rather than conducting the lesson. During multiple lessons, the instructor took lengthy personal phone calls while I was in the car, including highly personal conversations that contained inappropriate language. As a student learning to drive for the first time, I expected my instructor's full attention and professionalism, not distractions and personal matters. What ultimately made me decide to leave was being told after only three lessons that my remaining lessons and road test had been canceled because I was allegedly "too nervous." I had attended every lesson, was eager to learn, and had only just begun driving. Although I was offered another instructor, by that point I had lost confidence in the school's professionalism and chose to seek instruction elsewhere. Additionally, while waiting for one of my lessons, I overheard another student discussing a negative experience he had with an instructor named Frank. Under normal circumstances I would not place much weight on another student's experience alone. However, after everything I had personally experienced, hearing another student express similar frustrations further reduced my confidence in the school as a whole. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this driving school.

They're unprofessional and extremely hard to work with. Joyce is the sole person scheduling things, and she is horrible at her job. They do not give you your 5-hour cert. They hold on to it, so you can only schedule your road test through them, and you cannot schedule it yourself. They add on months of wait time, as opposed to 1-2 months if you scheduled it yourself. I paid around 1k for 10 lessons, which turned out to actually be five 90-minute lessons. Very misleading!! I have had 2 instructors from them. The first one, Jason, was unreachable after 2 lessons, for some reason. He was okay at his job, not super motivating, but did what he needed to do. Joyce offered to switch instructors for the rest of my lessons, and oh my god. My second instructor, Johnm, was so unprofessional and mean. He NEVER gave me positive feedback, only mumbling about how horrible I was at each and every turn. He was smoking cigarettes before and after every lesson, which isn't necessarily a problem, but very unprofessional to do in front of the client and made the car smell. One time, he cut one of my lessons early cause he wanted a car wash. We got out of the car, and he lit up a cigarette as I just awkwardly watched the car go through. I could not believe this was the lesson I paid for. I did not even end up finishing my course with them, because every lesson felt like a humiliation ritual. I couldn't even get a hold of my 5 hr cert, so I started over at another driving school and passed my test on my first try with a perfect score.

I knew I wasn't prepared and failed. I looked for a better driving school and found No.1 where comments were flooded with great recommendations for instructors here. I chose Kenny and I would recommend him to anyone else too! He is extremely hard working, sets you up against his own standards only to benefit you and make sure you pass the road test standards. He gives great pointers that'll ensure your get yourself parallel parking right every time, make your turns super smooth and will always be nice and honest with his comments. Make sure you take into account his feedback and really memorize them and put them into place! It's nothing but beneficial! Prices at the school are really fair though scheduling would be the difficult part as Joyce, isn't always there to pick up the phone for non Chinese speakers. Keep calling and they'll eventually get it sorted out for you!

TLDR - if you're a nervous or anxious driver, or have had difficulties with other instructors in the past, Erika is absolutely the one you should get started with. My apologies for the novel that's about to follow: To start off with, I am (or was), an incredibly nervous driver. While I had gotten my license by the skin of my teeth back in 2018, I developed a severe phobia after a bad experience on a highway and let my license lapse, not realizing that if your license is expired for more than two years, you can't just renew it - you have to take the whole road test again. When I learned this, I became so nervous that I started having insomnia and couldn't fall asleep - that's how nervous I was thinking about getting back on the road again. After completing my permit, I worked up the courage to book a lesson with Erika. Now, I've had my fair share of bad driving instructors - they often are gruff, not that great at teaching or explaining, and not great at making you feel comfortable or relaxed. Erika is the exact opposite. She is warm and supportive, without being overly so - you never feel like you have to put on a show for Erika. The day of my first lesson I woke up with full body chills and nerves, but I immediately felt at ease with Erika when I was in the car during my first lesson and knew I made the right decision booking lesson with her. Slowly but surely with each lesson with Erika, I got more confident behind the wheel. She positively reinforces when you do something well, and explains patiently where you can improve. She also steadily increases your abilities over time, slowly taking on new things like driving in a different neighborhood or on a busy street, without rushing you into something that can feel difficult. Since parallel parking is my achilles heel, she made sure to spend extra time walking me through this during our lessons. Leading up to my road test I also decided to take a couple extra lessons with Gus, who only just recently became available again for lessons. Gus has a very different demeanor than Erika - more reserved - and so while he may not be the best person to take a first lesson with if you are extremely nervous and anxious like me, I did find my lessons with Gus to be helpful and so the combination of working with both of them made me feel doubly prepared. On the day of my road test, Erika had the perfect demeanor. She made me feel assured, but never put undue pressure on me - she struck the right balance of being supportive without having that become a stressor in and of itself. She answered all my last minute nervous questions ("Can you walk me through again what to do if I think I'm going to hit the curb while parallel parking? What if I'm too wide?"), without ever making me feel bad about it. I was blessed with a clear day and relatively empty roads, but regardless of the good conditions I know I can owe the credit of my passing mostly to the patience and guidance of Erika. She is truly life changing - she changed me from an incredibly nervous driver who would break down into a ball of nerves even thinking about being behind the wheel, to a confident driver who according to my evaluator, did a "perfect" parallel park - something that I would NEVER have thought in a million years I would hear anyone say. All told, I did 13 lessons before my road test - 9 with Erika and 4 with Gus. While it's possible a less nervous driver could have done less (by my 10th lesson everything really started to click), I'm glad I did those extra lessons to make me feel fully prepared. I highly recommend Revolution Driving School, and Erika in particular, to anyone who is nervous or anxious about driving. While of course what happens on road test day is your responsibility, you will feel so prepared working with them. I can never thank them enough for giving me my confidence back!!

I took lessons with Joseph last year and he taught me to drive well. He is a patient and…read moreknowledgeable instructor. However, I also found him to be unprofessional and creepy at times. I am a quiet person and while I was polite and receptive to his small talk, I did not initiate or engage with it more than necessary. He made jokes about this after every single session saying that I "talked too much." Annoying, but not a big deal. However, after one particular session, when he dropped me off, he joked by telling me to "be a good girl or your mom won't give you a lollipop." You cannot make this shit up. Who says that?? I felt uncomfortable and repulsed by this strange comment. Once I passed my driving test, he handed me a stack of flyers for his driving school and asked me to put them up around my college campus to advertise him. I thought this was very unprofessional. He also took it upon himself to use some of our lessons as "highway practice" rather than preparing me for the driving test, clearly as a way to get more lessons and money out of me. In my opinion, if you are a young girl learning to drive who is not very assertive or talkative, he will take advantage of that. But take this as you will.

I gave up on it and in 2025 found Mr. YANG's driving school, and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. I went with the 10 lesson unlimited driving exam option. All of my interactions with the owner Kenny, Nazia and my instructor Oscar were amazing. They are genuinely kind people that want you to learn to drive and pass the exam. I felt very supported throughout the entire process. Unfortunately, I ended up failing two more times. Honestly I was ready to give up. Nazia was a great encouragement as she booked additional lessons. Oscar really worked on getting my confidence up and reviewing my weak areas. This is very important whenever you're trying to learn a new skill. Oscar was very good at explaining the skills needed to pass the actual road test. I was finally able to pass the road test on my 3rd try! If you're a nervous driver I would recommend going with the driving packages that let you take the test as many times as you need.
