Was visting LA for mother's day. I wanted to get my mom a blowout which she was extremely resistant. Her tune changed when I believe Tal (spelling?) helped her out. He was very inviting and her tune change when he washed her hair. He was attentive throughout the blowout and listened to her needs and expertly met them. He left no stone unturned and no tool unused to make my mom feel fabulous! Her hair stayed in great shape for almost 4 days! The service was great - my hair is silky smooth and much more affordable than other salons in the area (my Brazilian blowout was $250 for medium-long hair). Cool French music in the salon too. I am so happy I found Marc at 26 Shades. I booked the Women's Haircut with Master Stylist. The salon is so beautiful. It reminds me of an elegant salon in Paris with Chandeliers and exposed beams in the ceiling as well as beautiful Parisian music. I met Marc and he's like an angel. So easy to talk to. He listened to me and my hair needs. He washed my hair and gave me an amazing scalp massage. I had a migraine earlier that morning and Marc massaged away the migraine as well as all my cares in the world. My haircut is so beautiful and frames my face perfectly. He did a small trim and also added amaaazing texture to my hair which I am so happy with since I struggle with having flat hair. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, DO NOT BOOK HERE. I originally purchased a group on for a deep conditioning + a blow out, after calling 5 times with no answer, I decided to book my appointment through their website. I had to call a few times again before they answered but I finally got through to someone who CONFIRMED that my 10:30am Friday appointment (on my BIRTHDAY) was good to go and that I would be able to redeem my groupon no problem. Two days before my appointment I get another call from the salon and the lady on the other end (Shawna) informs me that I can't redeem my groupon until the following week, the reason???? I wasn't given one. I then tell her that I'll go head and keep my appointment for Friday and just pay full price. Shawna confirms like appointment and I'm even sent confirmation emails the day before. Friday morning comes and I wake up to a text at 8am that says my appointment has been cancelled because they were "short a stylist". I wasn't provided any other details. After reading another bad review, where the same thing essentially happened to them, I don't think a stylist was out at all. I truly believe they lied about being down a stylist because of disorganization. The establishment is clearly lazy and their staff severely lacks professionalism. I am so thankful that I didn't spend any money at this establishment and I will be returning my groupon. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I went in to get my hair cut evened out because I cut it myself lol and while I was there I wanted to get it dyed. Freddrick was great I would give him 4 stars, because he was upfront and honest with me with pricing and did what I wanted. So after I got it dyed I had to wait for the owner, Marc to cut my hair. He arrived 30 mins late. Originally hair cut pricing is $100, which I was hoping it would be less due to the fact I had already cut my own hair and wanted it evened out. But no. While he was cutting my hair he suddenly upcharged it to $150.... Like what?! Tell me before otherwise I would have never came, also showing up late? It was just all around terrible service and I was charged nearly 500. I would never come here again. Also they have signs in the store to leave 5 stars reviews in order to get a free hair product so that's why their reviews are high. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

NIGHTMARE! DO NOT GO!! My experience here was the most horrible depressing time of my life. It's been 3 months since I went and I'm STILL having ti do weekly bonding and conditioning treatments nit to mention spent an additional $3000 to try and repair the damage he had done to my hair! I went in as a new customer with ash blond tape in extensions. I wanted to go a silver color and also needed my extensions color matched he said no problem and it would run me $7-800. Ended up charging me 2600.00 later after charging me for this and oops gotta fix that. I left out if salon after my 2nd day there with not only my hair literally fried off but the ugliest dark ashy brown color I've ever seen and my new extensions were un fixable and so damaged from the bleach he left sitting on them ALL NIGHT. He not only is on his phone ALL the time but smells sick a bottle of JACK DANIELS while he had me and another client bleaching both if our hair at the same time telling us both to hold on he had to take this call and went out side for almost an hour! read more
