Shalai was awesome and created the perfect Neon Coral color for me and I am so excited to get my extensions on the next visit! Prices are totally fair for the quality of work, professionalism, and customer service. Even the owners made sure to be involved with not only myself but literally every guest who was in the salon. Also, you stated that my information isn't in your data base -and that is because when I called to speak with someone the day after the issue , I said "can you guys fix the problem with my husbands phone number and email since you have my phone and email in his profile as I have been in myself before also . (Which is what caused the appt time mishap to happen ) and the Manager said "Don't worry about it because we just deleted all of his info when he said He wouldn't be back!" Update: I was unable to dispute the charge because of the fine print on their appointment portal, which states that they will keep your cc info to cover missed appointments. The owner who shouldn't be running a business, emailed me threatening that he had made a report with the Mesa Police because I am a "threat" to them! Funny, I still haven't heard from the Mesa PD! Anyway, at this point, he is threatening me. He says the $75 for a missed appointment is "industry standard". That is true for NYC and LA or even Miami, but not Mesa , Arizona. I cancelled my card, so they don't make any more appointments for me and charge me for a missed appointment that I did not make. I had my hair cut and colored here. It's now grown about an inch and a half. I have new growth all over my head that is an inch and a half long. Therefore they fried my hair. They also kept my card information and made a follow up appointment for me. I was in surgery when they charged my card $75 for a "missed" appointment that I did not make. I did not see several "reminder" texts because I was in surgery. The owner called me and told me "he absolutely could charge" my card for no service rendered. I did not authorize the charge, and disputed it with my bank. I mean, come on man, you're in the service industry, the last thing anyone thinks about is their hair appointment when having emergency surgery. The owner was incredibly rude and obnoxious to me. He tagged me in a cruel post on Instagram. I would not recommend this salon to anyone ever read more

I tried out Salon 27 based on a friend's recommendation. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted got a great short cut and color from Gabrionna. Getting the right red is always hard but Gabrionna was clearly an expert in color theory and gave me a great brilliant tone with fun purple accents to spice it up. I'm getting tons of compliments on the cut - and it's easy to style. The color has held great for weeks and I have a healthy shine. The overall experience was clean and professional and I felt like she listened to me and gave me the benefit of her expertise. read more

Yelp reviews helped me choose this salon, but the great haircut I got is the reason I am a returning customer. The cut I received from Carly is perhaps the best I have had in more than a decade. Best evidence is 2 weeks into the new hairstyle and it's still looks great! Kara was absolutely amazing! Not only was she genuinely friendly but she is super knowledgeable! I showed her what I was wanting to have and she gave me all the options. I made an appointment online for my daughter she was getting a 1.5 in trim and curtain bangs. They have different options to choose from my daughter's hair is long so I chose medium to long hair which was $50 and then it takes you to pick a time and day and so I picked the time and day and it said the time I picked was for a hairdresser that actually cost $65 because she was a level two. I was like all right whatever place had lots of good reviews. We arrive for our appointment and then told my daughter's hair was extra long and it looks thicker so I was going to be charged $80. I said I can't do the $80 When I made the appointment I had to put in my credit card information and it told me I was going to be charge $65 so that's what we set aside minus paying the tip so I can't do anymore and white is the price of the haircut keep changing because it was originally 50 then it went to 65 and now I'm being told 80 as were sitting in the salon. So she goes and gets the manager and that lady tells me that she is going to help out with the cutting because it's going to take 90 minutes to do her hair so I get two stylus instead of one which I thought was absolutely ridiculous in the sense that she's just getting a slight trim of the ends and curtain bangs I'm not paying $80 and paying for two stylist to do that this place is a joke. They did say they would reschedule me with a lower level stylist which would be $60 but they didn't have an appointment for that stylist until June and they try to compensate for everything by giving me samples. I found a place right down the road that got us in same day $40 they washed her hair, trimmed it and did the curtain bangs only took 35 to 40 minutes. My daughter was very happy. I gave it two stars because it was clean and they were friendly it was just an absolutely ridiculous situation I feel like they scam people. The thing that makes me upset the most is that this appointment was for my 16-year-old daughter who finally gave in to doing some kind of style to her hair and felt really embarrassed with the whole situation. They made her feel that her hair was so long and thick and crazy that it was going to take two people and 90 minutes to cut her hair. read more

I have a stylist here in the city, but she was totally booked up and I needed to have my hair done before going on vacation. I found this place on Yelp and read all the good reviews and decided to give it a chance - SO glad I did!! Angela did such a phenomenal job, and she helped me make decisions about what I wanted and even suggested something less expensive than what I had originally booked! What I love about Ashlie is that she knows all her stuff and knows her products. She also mentioned something to me that no hairstylist have ever mentioned to me before which I appreciated a lot from her. She was also open on making adjustments if needed once i get home. Her personality is awesome and I like how she explains everything to me on what she is doing. The most important is that she takes her time and making sure everything is precise. There is only tiny nit pick that I want to be fixed in my hair but that's just me being OCD but other than that Ashlie, the people and place are awesome. My hair turned out NOTHING like what I had hoped for. I wish I could add pictures to this to show just how bad it was. I walked in with a brassy brunette color grown out hoping to go for a very light ashy blonde (but I didn't want my direct roots to be touched because I had finally grown it out enough). I told her I understand I can't go as light as I want due to my hair being so dark, but I'd like to take out all of the brassy copper tones. I walked out with lighter hair, but it was ORANGE, and my roots were dyed as well. I didn't notice until I got home because of the lighting. So I went back the next day to get it toned and now it's definitely less brassy, but it's completely brown again. I basically paid $250 for my hair to be toned. The staff there is completely understanding and kind, but as far as services I would not recommend them for a color. read more

I came here for the first time for a cut. Angela did a wonderful job! I've been to multiple places for a cut but they never seem to cut it the way I want. I loved my experience here and definitely recommend Salon 27! Here's why: + The sign DOES NOT say "Walk-ins Welcome", but I took a chance and walked in anyway. They were very gracious and greeted me nicely and found an appointment a little later today. I'm glad I waited! + Ashlie did not try to push a style on me. It annoys me when stylists suggest a style they want for me (which usually entails hacking off 8 inches or more)...Ashlie did not. The fact is if my hair is short or medium length, then it's just going to be a frizzy mess or I will have the burden of taking an hour to take care of it everyday. (Think Lucy from Charlie Brown, uuggh!). And for what? 90% of the time I work outside sweating my butt off and a ponytail is a necessity, so there's no point styling it. HOWEVER, I still want the option to glam it up with curls or a straightener. + Is there some universal rule that anyone 50 or or beyond is not supposed to have long hair? It seems like it sometimes. Have you ever requested to keep the length and then a stylist whacks off a few inches and say it's necessary to achieve the style? It's so annoying. Well I seriously appreciate Ashlie NOT badgering me about the length & NOT surreptitiously cutting extra inches. What she did do -- that I absolutely loved and that will keep me returning to Salon 27 -- is that she made suggestions and created a beautiful cut that complimented the length I wanted. I never had a razor cut before, but my sense is that Ashlie did it with exceptionally quality. + An additional bonus to the look and the way my hair feels, is that it feels five pounds lighter...even though it doesn't look it. + Ashlie did not use a ton of "product" in my hair...just shampoo and conditioner. Additionally, I was not 'badgered' to buy a bunch of product either (which is something that will cause me to never return to a salon no matter how great the style is.) + IDK how she did it, but she was also able to do all of the above while being "present" in a conversation with me. - no suggestions for improvement. So, I'm leaving a few before/after pics for you...had to take the before(s) in my car...everything was great, go get your hair done. (This review is only for the cut, I do my own color.) read more

Amber took the time to do my hair the right way both times. She is very informative every step of the way whether she is mixing color or just cutting my hair. Found Salon27 on Yelp with great reviews. Set up an appointment with Angela. (online and with an app makes it very convenient) I have short hair and love to have a few change ups each cut. Angela spent time looking at my hair, some photos of what I like and discussing a plan forward. From the time I sat in the chair, until I was done, Angela was engaged, asking me questions, and made me feel right at home. She had a suggestion on a styling tip which was fun using a flat iron on my short hair to give it a bit of a curl. The product she used and showed me how to use it for styling is fun and bought some to use. I just moved to the area and was looking for a stylist that was creative and fun.
