A little sad to write this as this was one of my favorite places to go to for haircuts. I asked for light bangs with face framing + layers. Instead I just got super thick, choppy bangs. As you can see in this old photo, I initially had bangs with face framing hair but they had grown out. I believe the problem is that the stylist cut my face framing hair and combined them w bangs, which resulted in giant bangs too wide for my head :( Also I didn't get really get any layers despite asking for them but I don't care too much about that. It was the fastest haircut that I've received and I wish they would have just scheduled me for a time slot later in the day or week. The customer service at Park Jun is 5 stars easily, however, I am BEYOND devastated at the current state of my hair... I ended up booking a perm 5/21. The whole process was 3.5 hours long. I opted for the big, beautiful, waves, as seen in multiple pictures on Yelp and Instagram. Throughout the process, I was told that my hair was too "dry" for the perm (I beg to differ), which leads to the question, why was the perm done? After the final solution was applied, and my hair was washed and dried, it was evident my hair didn't take. It was blow dried and blown out, so it still looked beautiful, but definitely misleading. I messaged Chaiyoon on here a few days later, after my first wash when my hair had NO wave/body and was just fluffy instead. She generously rescheduled me for 5/27 to reperm it. The second perm took about 2.5-3 hours. This time tighter rods were used which I should have spoken out against because I wanted the big, beautiful, waves. My hair did take this time, however, the results are akin to a traditional perm; tight curls, and unflattering on me; not what I wanted at all. My ends are fried and actually dry. See picture below for what it looks like when I tried to comb out the curls, and slept with a braid; No, it doesn't look the best but it is definitely a lot looser than what it would be. Now it's day 2 after my wash and my hair has lost any wave definition and it's just poofy and fried. Bottom line: -if my hair wasn't healthy enough for the perm to begin with, I wish I had been turned away instead of damaging it. -pictures after the perm are misleading as they're blow dried out and styled. -the $250 I spent was NOT worth the convenience I thought I'd have over my heatless overnight curls. -Service at Park Jun is GREAT but the results are terrible and my hair is in the WORST and DRIEST condition it's ever been... and I've bleached my hair blonde multiple times. -considering getting a straightening treatment but I know my hair is too damaged for that rn :( read more

The place is very busy and the step went really quick. I didn't get to enjoy it especially when we got the Cinderella treatment. The only thing I liked from the whole process was sitting on a massage chair for a hair wash. This is really cool. The guy who did my treatment was super nice. He did mention what he was applying on my hair. I suggest they slow down their 15 steps and explain each one and how it improves your hair. read more

Oh my goodness, an actual godsend! I would see this salon whenever I went shopping at HMart, but I never really looked into booking until I had a terrible hair experience at a different salon. Long story short, another salon I went to gave me a hair dye job that I didn't like/what I wanted, so I looked up Park Jun's Instagram, saw my friend was following them, and after talking to them about it, I booked my appointment! I messaged them on Yelp about it, and got a response back very quickly. Jina was my hairstylist, and she was super friendly! I actually had my appointment closer to closing time, and even though it may have meant I'd stay past closing, Jina still let me book her for an appointment. Layered cut and digital perm. I've heard about digital perm and always wanted to try. I walked in one day to inquire about digital perm, after they looked and felt my hair, they said I can do digital perm. I went to my regular Aveda salon and after I received his opinion as he always color my hair, I contacted them via Yelp app to make an appointment. I loved my layered haircut. No offense to my regular hair color stylist but I must admit I like their layered haircut here. Digital perm takes 3 hours. Sitting on that chair for three hours is not that easy on my lower back but there are no short cuts. She let me stand up to stretch my back when possible and practical. Stylist and the owner explained how to take care of my hair to make the perm last longer and how to treat my hair. Supposed to last 6 months to a year. I still love my Aveda salon for hair color but I will be coming here for haircut going forward. read more

Every haircut and perm I've had with them has been amazing! I've been to both the Chandler and H-Mart locations. Sometimes one location was fully booked and I wanted a hair makeover right away, so I'd try the other and no matter where I went, the results were always a success! They always style my hair just the way I want, but even when I have no idea what I'm looking for, they somehow just know what suits me and give the perfect recommendations. Every time I get my hair done here, people ask me where I got it styled! Next time, I'm planning to go in for color, and I already know I'll love it again! For context, I've always had long straight hair all my life. Now that I'm in my last few semesters in college I decided to do something different and get a perm! I was really nervous about it but after coming to this location and getting the perm I have nothing but great things to say! They made me feel really welcomed and they did such a fantastic job!! Overall, a good experience and would recommend them if you're looking for a cut and color. My stylist didn't speak much English and so we had some slight barriers when communicating but overall, he did a good job! I called this salon about 2 weeks ago and the person that answered asked me to text them a photo of my hair (pretty customary these days). My natural hair color is dark brown/black but recently in the last 2 years, I've chosen to go lighter, ash color base with blonde highlights. I needed a root touch up to blend in the dark roots that had grown out (now about 5 months since my last salon visit) and a trim. After a few text messages back and forth, we agreed on $150 root touch up and $35 - 40 for the haircut and about 3 to 3.5 hours of salon time. Please also note that my hair is very long, down close to my chest. I arrived on my scheduled appointment day and immediately they greeted me and knew who I was. My stylist never told me his name, so not sure who worked on my hair?! In any case, he immediately shampooed my hair as he seemed annoyed that I had dry shampoo in my hair, and initially asked me if it was paint? Lol. After the shampoo, he cut my hair first. He then dried it and colored my roots so that it would be a lighter color. He didn't tell me how long to wait for, which I think is just a nice courtesy so people know how long they are going to sit there. Next, he washed out the color and then put highlights in which basically was bleaching my darker roots, this also took some time and again, he did not tell me how long. This process seemed to take a pretty long time (at least 45 min) and he kept retouching it and at one point, used a heater on my head. After this, it was back to a rinse and then the finally toner to be added, which was all over toner to blend in the bleached highlights and the rest of my hair, this took the shortest amount of time, about 20min, I think. So overall, this touch up and trim took 5 hours! A bit longer than I had expected and the charge total came to $245, which is more than initially quoted, as they added one extra step with lightening my roots first. The stylist kept telling me how dry my ends are and also kept telling me that my hair had an orange tint. Honestly, telling me once or twice would've been enough, I got the point quickly. Yes, use oil on the ends, ok! I would come back here as they did a good job and very reasonably priced for all the work that went into my hair. read more

My visit didn't start out so well. I made a hair appointment over the phone for 3:30 and arrived on time only to find out nobody even wrote me into their book. I drove an hour out so I was rather bummed. They did have an available hair stylist, however so I took the risk and let her cut my hair. I was soooo nervous. It takes me forever to even decide to do anything to my hair from numerous horrible experiences. Then started the emotional roller coaster. I watched my hair get cut and Jina did techniques that I'd never have done before. I was so nervous the entire time. She was incredibly meticulous and friendly, though, so I kept my cool. One hour later, she blow-dried my hair and I was amazed!!! I have never had my hair feel so light or flowy with this much movement before! i got a perm and showed a video and a picture of what I wanted. it was a video of someone from TikTok with a wavy perm sorta like a korean perm to an extent. Then when i was getting the perm, I was getting a feeling they were gonna be a little too curly not as much as a wave, He sat me down and didn't engage in a conversation and was kinda rude to my Mother, needless to say the perm i got was a curly perm not a wavy perm, Im saddened by this as I trusted there expertise and It was quite an awful experience for me, I wont be coming back, the vibes weren't there when I arrived as the man was kinda rude. now im stuck with this curly perm for a few months that I didnt ask for. H-Mar Park Jun Hair Salon is the WORST HAIR SALON EVER! (AVOID MALE STYLIST) I've been here for like 4 times when my hair salon's not available. For all those 4 times, I always had to wait 10-20 mins more than my appointment time. Also, I'm not sure if individual designer does not get any commission here, I could definitely see that the male stylist does not want to work. I had a tight schedule and female stylist was working on other customer. My appointment was at 6 and I got there by 6. Since I've never appointed any specific designer (I don't think they have "pick your stylist" system either), I was hoping the male stylist could cut my hair. That guy just said "oh no I have another appointment". 20mins passed by and I was still waiting but that male stylist's "customer" never showed up and he was just looking at his phone. When my turn finally came with female stylist, there was another customer came in but the male stylist were saying to female stylist that "You can take this customer too" and I could noticed that the female stylist is saying "again? You're not taking any?" Well I think this is the worst system for salon can implement. I think they should go by "appointing stylist" and whoever don't have any customer should get bare minimum so that their quality of service can be better. The same male stylist cut my hair once and his skill was so bad as well and he was rushing me to get it done. When I asked him for little more revision, he kept saying like "no it won't go well with ya" and wrap the session up. CONCLUSION : If the male stylist is the owner, oh well, it is his business so I'll just let my friends know not to go this salon. If not, owner of this salon should be aware of these types of situation since this will make your salon run out of business eventually. read more

Words cannot describe how happy I was to be able to go to a hair salon this good in arizona!!! I've had horrible experiences with salons in my area and driving out to LA for an okay haircut was not working out at all, so hearing good reviews about this place from friends and family was enough for me to chance it--and I'm honestly so glad I did! The lady at the reception desk was super sweet and made sure I was comfortable while she made double checked my appointment and all the ladies at the place were super friendly and cheery!! My hairstylist was literally the best!!!! Joy talked me through the entire process of the digital perm and answered all my questions and concerns about it since it was my fist time doing a perm at all, and when she cut my hair she made sure to double check my reference pictures and asked details about them to ensure my hairstyle was exactly how I wanted it, down to the way my fringe would fall to cover my cheekbones and how light I wanted my hair!!! I cannot stress enough how sweet she was, taking the time to ensure I was comfortable when the perm process got a little too hot! Not even mentioning that I was on a time crunch and they not only got me through a haircut and a digital perm in no time!!! Joy even called on another lady to help speed up the process without damaging my hair, and I was so happy with my end result, my hair came out exactly how I wanted and Joy knew exactly what to do and how to work with my hair to make it as perfect as I wanted. The people were pleasant enough. Went for ash balayage and choppy cut and they failed on both fronts. They tried to fix it the next day without charge, but the resulting color is still a brassy orange -blonde and the dark toner they tried to put in to correct it is already washed out days later. I did not want more chemicals in my hair after the second try. I have been full platinum blonde before and I know it can be done on dark hair, if stylist does so with patience and precision. Also, the haircut they gave me was too "classic" of a style and not what my inspiration photo showed, so maybe edgy cuts is not their forte either. Appreciated they tried to fix the bad dye job, but will not go back and cannot recommend them if you are trying for blonde/ash. Good for basic cuts though. read more

Late review. I visited some weeks ago for hair and skin. Hair grew out a bit but still looking great. Skins feeling more hydrated. Haircut was quick and well done. I got exactly what I asked for. I have attempted this geometric short hair couple of times with different hair dressers. She was the best out of all. It's looks simple but it isn't a easy hairstyle to cut. Skincare was also satisfying and hydrating. I'm hooked. Waiting for the quarantine to be over so I can go back for more. She gave me tips and suggestions for my skin care.
