Comfort food, late hours, convenient location, free parking, and a homey atmosphere filled with local customers make the Pit & Pub a standout among Ocean City venues. If you're there for an auto show, ask for a seat near the front window so you can see all the cars driving up and down the main drag. We were so engaged in the automotive display that we had no idea how fast (or how slow) the service was!

I picked this restaurant for my birthday dinner. I have been here before and the food was awesome. Guess what the food is still awesome. My wife loves this place because they serve smoked meatloaf. Yes and she said it is a 10 it if 10. She said you can taste the smoke flavor throughout. My son had the chicken and ribs combo and both meats were soooo good. My daughter had the brisket and she destroyed it. I had the ribs and I really enjoyed it. I also had the hush puppies and they had this onion flavor to it. It was great. My son said the Mac and cheese was "FIRE". I had to agree it was really good. I would highly recommend going to the pit and pub for lunch or dinner. They do have happy hours.

Saw advertisements on the boardwalk so I said let's give it a try. Walked in warm greeting and got sat down right away. Nice little cozy place. I sat downstairs but they have open upstairs seating as well. Started off with the bbq wings. Very good not to saucy. Then I went for the brisket platter with macaroni & cheese with sweet potato fries. Brisket was perfect. Macaroni & cheese very good and creamy. The sweet Potato fries were a little dry and didn't really have a taste. Other than that the have a full bar with tvs for sports as well. Definitely would go again.

Yes you are reading right, $30 for an appetizer and a side salad- from an off beach bar.

Let me open with this fundamental truth. I have never owned/managed a for profit business. That being said I am a fan of capitalism, and tourism, and I understand the rational desire to earn a profit. I was in town for business (on perdiem), my hotel was across the street, I was tired and refused to drive. That is the parameters under which I imagine a place like this stays in business. I suspect (and did quick research) that the 5 star reviews are "locals" [if real] and maybe fellow business strip owners. I don't believe that anything else explains the range fo reviews that this place gets. I want to be fair, the food tasted fine, not the best, but I have had worse. My primary concern is the quality for price value proposition, and the abysmal service I experienced. The service, on this occasion, for me (maybe all the 5 reviews had a different reality) is absolutely terrible. The young lady taking the order said it would be 35 minutes for smoked wings (7 pc) and a salad (mixed greens, cherry tomato, cucumber). Her thought process relayed to me is that each order is made as it is given (makes sense) but think about it for a moment smoked wings cannot be made to order, so I shrugged, walked back to my hotel (3 min.) waited about 10 minutes and then walked back over (20 min? total) and there the food sat. Additonal irksome point... in all of my 60 years I've only had a few people ever spell my name B- e -r -r -y, they were non english speakers. What english as a native language speaker thinks that a grown man's name is a fruit? I don't begrudge a little price hike for summer tourists/conventioners. I do however expect a bit of effort, a bit of quality put into the product and customer service.

I must say the ambiance for pub/bar is awesomely decorated. TVs everywhere, the ceilings are very cool decorated as well. The staff were really friendly and the food came out fast. Both my husband and I got the porker but we both modified it from the original as stated on the menu. The porker was good but when we asked if it was pulled pork compared to what we received completely different than what we envisioned. Normally pulled pork is shredded meat, this was little shaved pieces of meat; however still good. My kid had the patty melt and according to him it was good. When we arrived it was mid afternoon, about 3:30, only a few customers there, shortly after this place became packed... hopping busy.

Stopped by on a night after the bar for food. I got a burger and a cocktail. We were tired so we had everything basically boxed up to go Plenty of bar space, tvs and dining booths.

Between the two of us had the BBQ wings, pulled pork, baked beans, macaroni and cheese amd coleslaw. The wings were of a good size and sauce was perfect amount and good flavor. We were thrilled with the Carolina pulled pork. It didn't need smothered in sauce to be good. Don't get me wrong the sauce was delicious too but the meat can stand on it's own. Everything was very delicious and our waitress was buys but took good care of us. Will be back again for a break in seafood when we visit the area.

Amazing food! Flavorful! So good! Wonderful service. No complaints! 10/10. Couldn't have stopped at a better place for dinner

While the original brand was founded in May 1980 on the downtown Boardwalk by Phil and Marie, the 94th Street uptown location brings that same iconic barbecue joint energy to North OC--serving as a beloved haven for meat lovers and beachgoers looking for a hearty, satisfying meal. History & Ownership Year Opened: The original Bull on the Beach opened on May 28, 1980 on 2nd Street and the Boardwalk. The 94th Street spot was opened to bring their pit-cooking tradition to the uptown crowd.Owners: Founded by husband-and-wife duo Phil and Marie, who moved their family from Baltimore to Ocean City with a vision of creating a classic open-pit barbecue restaurant where guests could watch the meat cook over open flames. It remains a proud, family-operated Maryland staple. The Open Pit Beef Specials The star of the show at Bull on the Beach is their charcoal-cooked, top-round pit beef. Sliced thin to order and piled high on fresh rolls, it's served with signature additions like spicy tiger sauce, raw onions, and horseradish. The Open Pit Beef Platter: The classic, no-frills standard--tender, smoky choice top round sliced to your exact preferred temperature. The Barn & Bay: A classic surf-and-turf sandwich layering open pit beef with a jumbo lump Eastern Shore crab cake, bacon, and tiger sauce. The Dunker: Thinly sliced pit beef smothered in sauteed onions, melted Swiss, and provolone, served with rich homemade au jus for dipping. The Beef Royale: Open pit beef topped with cheddar cheese, bistro mustard, and a beer-battered onion ring. The Legendary Hot Beef & Gravy Platter If there's one comfort meal locals rave about, it's their Famous Hot Beef & Gravy. Hot Beef & Gravy Platter The Build: A massive portion of hot, thinly sliced open pit roast beef piled over thick sourdough bread. The Finish: Accompanied by a mountain of golden French fries (or mashed potatoes) and entirely smothered in rich, savory homemade brown gravy. It's an open-faced diner classic executed to perfection--warm, deeply flavorful, and guaranteed to put you straight into a post-lunch beach nap. Pro TipPair your pit beef or gravy platter with a cold pint or a signature Orange Crush, and grab a seat near the raw bar if you want a side of steamed oysters or Maryland crab soup alongside your barbecue!

We started with a tasting board and chose three cheeses and three meats. It comes with a ton of additional accoutrements. It's a little expensive but worth it to try some fantastic cheese. I had the Cacio e pepe with scallops that was on special. I didn't love the pasta, the sauce was bland despite the peppery flavor but the scallops were well cooked and definitely the best part of the dish. For dessert we did a giant doughnut ice cream sandwich which was the star of the show. Paired with an espresso martini and I was extremely happy to finish off dinner! It's a refreshing change from the typical boardwalk dining experience. The food was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the perfectly seared scallops, rich and flavorful oysters Rockefeller, and a well-prepared steak that was cooked exactly as ordered. The cocktail program was equally impressive, both the martini and Old Fashioned were expertly crafted. As a bourbon and whiskey enthusiast, I particularly appreciated the extensive selection available here. It was nice to find quality whiskey options beyond the sweet, fruity summer cocktails that dominate many Ocean City menus. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely a place we'll return to on future trips.

The Food & Standout Dishes Steamed Crabs: True to its coastal roots, Belly Busters sources heavy, fat blue crabs from Maryland waters when in season (and top regional bayous off-season). Steamed to order with heavy Old Bay seasoning, they're available for dine-in or via their popular local crab delivery service. Blackened Mahi & Fish Tacos: Among their most famous specialties, the fish tacos feature blackened or fried fish piled high with house-made pico de gallo, fresh cabbage, New York spicy cheddar, and a signature cream sauce.
