Overall, our visit was fine, just not great. The restaurant wasn't very busy, and there was plenty of space inside. We were able to immediately sit down with four adults and five kids, and they were probably seven or eight tables on either side of us that were empty along with all the booths on the side. We were there at 7 PM on a Sunday night for a holiday weekend. The kids menu had a lot of options, and between all the kids we ordered a bunch of them. I wouldn't classify what came out as "chicken tenders" since they were more like long chicken nuggets. The kids pizza didn't even get touched because it didn't look appetizing at all. The applesauce and mac & cheese were both big hits. I got a crabcake and split that with my spouse who got a burger with bacon and barbecue sauce. They were both pretty decent, but I don't remember them that well so it wasn't super exciting. I also ordered a pink lemonade, which was one of their drink options, and it was fun. The service was decent. Everyone was friendly, but the atmosphere was just OK. After a spectacular day on the beautiful beach of Ocean City we needed food. We had passed Cabanas earlier on our walk and I like how the seating was a level lower than the actual boardwalk - we scanned the menu and with large amount of options decided to give it a try. After being seated our waitress was over right away with menus. She was pleasant and helpful. The hubby ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls as our appetizer. This was the only item that he said was a bit disappointing- he thought they should have had a bit more flavor. Next we got the sweet potato fries! Now these were great! Surprisingly yummy, due to the sprinkle of cinnamon. Our main courses were the Crabby Patty w/chips for him and I got the Shrimp Tacos. The Crabby Patty was a bit messy but in a good way. Topped with crab spread and Old Bay it was delicious. The Shrimp tacos were tasty and the mango salsa gave the touch of sweetness to hit the spot. The visit to Cabanas was the perfect end to our fun day at the beach. Stop by it's worth your time. read more

I would give it 0 stars if possible. Don't get me wrong, all food places on the boardwalk are horrible. These places are there to get you out of the sun and serve cold drinks, so from that perspective the place gets 10 stars. If you're going out to eat and have time, choose someplace off the boardwalk, then go there to walk around/people watch. We paid over $100 for two club sandwiches and 4 drinks - not just overprices, but just sad. The food was barely okay and the fries were cold - cold fries and the place was just about empty. The service was great and the server was very nice. The atmosphere was definitely a beach vibe and a good place to hang out to drink. I would never go back, but if you're just in town for the day, why not stop here. read more

I ordered a Moscow mule, the server had asked me how to make it, it came out with 3 melted ice cubes like it had been sitting out for hours. The limes in it were also cut so absurdly wrong I can not even fathom a bartender not knowing how to cut a lime even remotely properly. The chicken that I had gotten looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for days maybe even weeks. I think this place is new to the boardwalk and that's what made me choose it .. the fresh new look and clean!.. the service was friendly and efficient.. the selection of wine and beer is very minimal but the local beer was very good.. better to not go with the wines.. also the drinks seemed light on alcohol content but maybe I just make my drinks stronger at home..? The salads were very fresh and it's rare to find homemade dressing but I really appreciate how I think they made their own blue cheese dressing.. we also had Caesar salad which was fresh and delicious.. crab dip was perfect for sharing too .. I spent $20 for a caesar salad with grilled chicken--it was tiny and soggy, and the chicken was tough and inedible. A friend got mozzarella sticks, which were cold inside. The chicken tenders were just oversized chicken nuggets and were not enough food to be worth $14. We went in looking to get something other than the typical fried food from the stands, but we definitely should not have just stuck to the stands. This place is a refreshing change from some of the food joints on the boardwalk. It has real quality food here. They also have a bar. We ate there twice. Loved it. Loved the service too.
