    Pain Killer

Read full review - We have had a condo in the area for many many years. We would occasionally come to Bull on the Beach however, in my opinion, the food wasn't the best. I decided to give them a try tonight as it was convenient and they have some nice drinks. I am so glad I did! Maddy was our waitress incredibly professional, attentive, and friendly. She did a great job managing a full section. We ordered a variety of things including the Shredded Beef Sandwich, Pit Beef Sandwich, Kids Chicken Tenders and Spicy BBQ Wings. Everything was perfect! It certainly exceeded my expectations. I also ordered a Pain Killer for my vacation drink :) It was perfectly balanced. The vibe is very family friendly, tables and booths. They also have a nice bar area. I highly recommend, and ask for Maddy this summer.

Travel Check in - Location 4 stars, this rustic BBQ restaurant has been a local favorite it appears and can see why. This place has a comfort feel, and vibe. Food; Started with the fries and gravy which was so good, I think I dreamed about them a time or two. Fresh crisp fries, were perfect eat them while they are hot. I ordered the Homemade Meatloaf which was tasty, it is just recently that I have been on a Meatloaf crave and this was in my top 10 so far. Service; Very friendly and outgoing.

Bull on the Beach is always a beach staple in my household. If you want more of barbecue vibe, this is your place. Service is good but the restaurant was a little dirty. The chicken wings are by far my favorite. My fries could have been cooked more. The crab dip was decent but would have been better with different bread. The crab cake was filling and delicious. The highlight was definitely the red mashed potatoes. Prices are fair and we only had to wait about thirty minutes for a table. The food came quickly, as well. There is a parking lot located in the back off 94th street and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. There is also a photographer that walks around in case you and your family or friends want a picture.

Open Faced Roast Beef with Fries & Gravy on both!

Haven't been here in years & years! Bull on the Beach is a mainstay of open pit cooking in OCMD. Large comfortable dining room with booth & table seatings. I had the Open Face Roast Beef with Fries and Gravy over all. Tenderest roast beef ever and the Gravy was that Deep Dark Brown richness that accompanies it perfectly. My wife ate light tonight with a house salad comes with fresh cut romaine & blend of veggies & dressing and a Crock of their Chili Beef & Bean chili topped with cheese & jalapeños She said it just had enough spice Maddy our server was exceptional pleasantly cheery & attentive to our needs! I have no Idea why we waited so long to return to Bull on the Beach They still make the best Open Pit Roast Beef! WBB

Good place to eat on Coastal Highway. The wait was short and the wait staff is friendly. Great variety of seafood. The one pound of shrimp is one way to go. Fried shrimp and crab cake sandwich are delish. I'll come back to this place for dinner (or lunch).

Another good meal, they really stacked the beef today. Very loud very fun. The waitress was very good to us. Always fast here, well run operation.

Stopped by to get some dinner here last night. Overall everything was great. The crab dip was delicious. The rack of ribs was huge and hanging off the plate. Crab cakes were fresh with no fillers which is always the best. The saddlebagger was stacked high and had some nice thick and crispy pieces of bacon. Service was fast too which went well. One thing that was off was the place was a bit dirty. I know half way through dinner service it can get a little crazy, but I felt like the place wasn't been kept up as well as it could be. Also there was some random guy walking around asking to take photos of people and then selling them, which was definitely awkward

Fresh raw bar, good prices, great beach atmosphere, and beer selection. Servers are friendly - typical beach bar with emphasis on Orioles Baseball theme and trivia.

    Chicken Tenders - Buffalo

The staff was very friendly, moved quickly and our drinks were never empty. There was somewhat of an open kitchen concept, so you could see your food being put together. The buffalo tenders w/fries were a good choice. On the surf and turf special, the crab cake and corn salad was tasty. I ordered the sirloin medium rare, but ended up just eating the center where it wasn't cooked through.

After another night out in the area we needed to find another place that was open later than usual. When my friend asked me what I was in the mood for all I could think of was gravy. Nothing else came to mind, I just wanted gravy. Good thing we came here. When we arrived the dining room was just shutting down. When greeted at the door we were told we could head to the bar and still put an order in there. So we sidled up to the bar, the bartender handed us menus, after looking them over for a few seconds we had our picks. We placed our order and just needed to wait. While we waited we took advantage bar top game we ended up sitting in front of. We played multiple rounds of tic tac toe. Just as we were about to give up on going a few more rounds our food arrived. I ordered the Hot Turkey, an open faced sandwich that comes with your choice of fries or mashed. I opted for the mash and as the description says, 'smothered in gravy.' Was it ever smothered in gravy, and that was the one thing that I wanted. It did not disappoint and I made sure that the gravy did not go to waste. The turkey was thinly sliced, almost fall apart. Those mashed potatoes, my god, I don't think I've had mashed potatoes like that in a real good time. They were more like whipped potatoes. When combined with the gravy it was the nearest I have been to heaven. This meal was so satisfying and turned a bit nostalgic for me. It reminded me of a meal my mom used to make. And I needed that in that moment.

Like many, we are here on vacation. We weren't sure of what restaurants were nearby and we were tired and didn't really want to drive anywhere. I checked Yelp for nearby places and saw this place listed. It had decent reviews and it was close so we decided to check it out. We arrived and were seated immediately. We were seated right near the host stand and I believe there was a bar area in the other section but since we don't drink, I didn't check it out. Our server was very attentive and took our order promptly. We ordered the crab dip as a starter, which I didn't get a picture of unfortunately but have to say was delicious. I ordered the Beef, fries, & gravy. The beef was good but a little bland. The fries and the gravy was very good. My mom had the riblet sandwich, which was the special for the day. She asked for no pickles but it came out with pickles. No huge deal, she just took them off. My brother had the chicken tenders and fries. He said they were good as well. We enjoyed our food and the service enough that we would return if we are in the area again.

I have wanted to come here for many years! Tonight was the night!. They have plenty of parking and it's located one block from the beach. My party of three were seated in a back dining area with very large comfortable booth tables. The wall art/ decor is all Bull oriented with some interesting pieces. Overall it has the atmosphere of an old steakhouse in a very good way. I ordered the French onion soup and I cannot sing its praises high enough. The broth was rich, thicker than most and flavored perfectly. Plenty of melted tasty cheese and caramelized onions. Served at perfect edible temperature. One of the best I have eaten, Heaven! I had to have the hot beef and gravy as I saw it walking in on another diner's table. It was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The tender beef cooked to my order specs then thinly sliced and piled high on a piece of thick white toast. Smothered with a thick beefy hot gravy served with my choice of fries also gravied. My food was at the temperature all hot food should be served- hot! Made it so much more enjoyable. I just about licked my plate! LOL! My dining companions enjoyed their meals of the abundant chef salad with the ham, turkey and roast beef piled high. The combo sandwich with ham and beef with a pasta salad side. Only complaint was the the roll and a bit too much vinegar in the pasta salad. For dessert a hot Blondie cookie/brownie combo served with vanilla ice cream chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The unsweetened iced tea was good too. Our server who had several tables come in was great! Very attentive. My new favorite place in OC. Tip:The bar area is a Baltimore Orioles shrine. Sis and me walked in wearing our NY Yankee shirts- pure coincidence! LOL!

SO, we decided we had the time, we were hungry & nearby, so we made our way to what is now called Whiskers Saloon. We were greeted warmly by Jay who was manning both the bar and customers at tables. We took some time to peruse the 2 page menu looking for both old favorites and what's new. I decided to try one of my usual sandwiches, The Rachel for comparison sake & added Sweet potato fries (additional upgrade). I asked & was happy the special spicy sauce I loved to combine with the fries was still available under a different name, Texas sauce. I will say, my sandwich was much better than in "the old days" because this was made with actual carved turkey thick slices as opposed to thin cold cut turkey from prior ownership. I was a happy camper! My hubby tried something new to him at Whiskers, he had a chicken cheesesteak sub and was pleasantly surprised and impressed to find it was not finely chopped up chicken, but cut up grilled chicken chunks with nicely sautéed onions. We were happy to return, pleased to find that good quality & taste was still there and its what we were used to after almost 15 years of frequenting here. We were happy to see Commanders game & flag displayed for this Sunday game with many fans inside boisterously enjoying the game playingon all the tvs. All day specials were going on today and Jay told us everything they were offering on the specially priced menu which was a nice extensive list of bar food and drinks, including $3 Yeungling.

Everyone was standing around just gossiping. We sat at the table inside and waited about 15 mins to get a server. I realize this is pretty normal here in OCMD, but there were a lot of people standing around and a handful of people eating. The server was a nice guy. He wasn't one of the folks standing around. We were hopeful. Drinks were watered down. They were supposed to be frozen. We ordered brisket Putíne. Absolutely flavorless. Had to add salt and pepper to make it edible. Even my teens didn't like it. I personally had the shrimp tacos. They fell apart, and were inconsistent in prep. One had 2 shrimps, the other had 4. One had sauce, the other did not. The taco was falling apart after the 3rd bite. Very unpleasant to eat. The oysters we ordered had tons of shell pieces in it. Again, down to the preparation. My husband had the lobster roll. It was actually good, but the portions of lobster were a joke. We went to the crab factory down the road a week ago and the value, bread and amount of lobster was a better value with equal taste. Overall, this seems like a tourist location and very hit or miss. Our experience was definitely miss for the price.
