OMG! I was not a fan of pizza, that is until I got a meat lover's pizza from Reba's. The crust, not…read moretoo thin and not too thick; Crispy, yet tender and the meat was oh so flavorful, my pizza was baked to perfection. (FYI, I live in San Antonio and am very tempted to take a road trip for my next yummy slice.) Then there dessert...well, located within a rocks throw of Brenham, you know what to expect, and it ain't just yummy cookies and cake. Yes, ladies and gentlemen (drumroll) you guessed it...BLUE BELL ICE CREAM!! Spoiler alert they failed to have my favorite daiquiri ice but you're not going to lose me over that. (Hint: just saying for future options. I'll be on the lookout next time I'm rolling down 290 East.) All good and well, the girls behind the counter were attentive and nice. And the restaurant rang of a good place to go after a go hometown Buffalo's Friday night football game. (This is Texas you know.) Thanks Reba (if there is a flesh and blood Reba out there) for expanding to your latest downtown location. LOVE IT!

Just about the most satisfying Italian Sandwich dive that you could find in the state of Texas and…read moreit's right off Lake Conroe of all places. Walk up counter service with a menu split neatly into cold cut and oven baked sandwiches. Going with the Devito, my mind was thoroughly blown by how flavorful the red sauce and meats were all together, it had a combination of textures from the crusty bread cured cuts that made it fun to chew through every bite. My Stallone was also just such a pleasant mix of flavor with the pesto playing a bigger role on the cold cut options. This is one of the places where I feel like you can spin the wheel and get a winner with whatever fate decides. Things seem pretty easy and affordable here. Portions were pretty big here and around $12-$15 a sandwich, more than enough for a single person with some for a midnight snack later. There's a good bit of seating inside with some red gingham table clothes to eat over. It's worth the visit if your in Montgomery or after a day on the Lake!

Tony's Italian Delicatessen definitely delivers on portion size! The sandwiches are huge, and…read moreyou'll likely be taking leftovers home. I ordered the Martin, and the flavor was excellent. My only disappointment was that the menu described it as coming on a crusty Italian roll, but the bread was soft with no crunch. A true crusty roll would have taken it from great to outstanding. The girl at the counter recommended getting the hot peppers so I got some on the side, and she was absolutely right--I'll definitely be adding those to future sandwiches. My husband ordered the Danza but accidentally received the Dinero. He still enjoyed it and gave it a solid 7/10. We also tried the Chicken Parmesan. It had good flavor, though it was a little too bread-heavy for my taste. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were more than generous. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu.
