Over all I love coming to this store. I shop quite frequent as well. while in the restroom waiting for a stall, due to them being in use. I waited patiently, unfortunately when an associate came out so make the stall available. An associate entered the bathroom walked in front of me and switched places with that associate. Completely didn't care that I was waiting for a stall, looked at me and closed the door. Bathroom etiquette doesn't exist in this location it seems!!!!! read more

Relatively well organized and very clean- easy to navigate items (not so much the clothes, but other items are well displayed). Reasonable prices on most items and thankfully the books are one price for all books. Checkout is usually speedy and often if there are lines they will bring more cashiers-Highly recommend!! read more

I have been going to this establishment since they opened in October of 2019 (I believe). I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT INCREASE in their pricing. What thrift store prices their items higher than when the items were new or at pricing that is equal to department stores? Seems like somewhere along the way, they forgot the "Thrift" in their name!!! Though they still have some very nice items, many of them are not worth the price. The condition of some of the items seems to have fallen off and some are severely overpriced!! They also could do a better job at cleaning items before placing them. There was a microwave there once and when I opened it I could not believe how filthy it was!! First of all, whomever they got it from should have cleaned it. But the store definitely should have cleaned it before it was put on the selling floor. How gross! I've looked at several pairs of shoes that could have used a nice wipe off before being placed on the shelf. The condition of items makes a huge difference as well. If I pick up something and it's completely filthy, I'm not buying it. PERIOD. No matter how much I might like it. Management needs to read these reviews and offer genuinely sincere replies instead of the same template message. Although I'm sure they're still making money, they are definitely losing money and customers because my family and I don't shop there anywhere near as much as we used to. One night six of my family members and I went there and we each spent well over $100+. The number of items that we purchased and the quality of the items was phenomenal. New to the area and was searching for a Goodwill style store and found this gem to be even better! I wasn't sure what I was looking for so I was hoping they would be well stocked. When I arrived, the store and parking lot were clean, the staffed greeted me and the aisles were well stocked with quality merchandise in a wide range of departments. Hello Everyone - I'm fairly new to Thrifting. This past weekend I was EVERYWHERE (Natick, Princeton, DC - just to name a few). I had an amazing weekend, I got a pair of Yeezy and a Dooney & Bourke Bag! I went to the 2nd Ave Thrift Superstore in Fairless Hill, PA on today. I had a horrible experience, I was told that I was "Banned from the store." The Supervisor told me that I was "harassing her employees and she have cameras." Cameras? Harassing? Are you insinuating that I'm stealing? I remained calm, I asked to speak to the Manager, she told me the Manager wasn't there. I asked for the store telephone number, her response was google it. In the age of George Floyd, I felt that the Supervisor (Eva), wanted me to get irate (to fit the stereotype of the ANGER BLACK MAN). I think Eva did me a huge favor. I do not go to places when I am treated less than human because of the color of my skin. It's 2021, the racist behavior of Eva I will not tolerate! read more

Hard to shop here now. Unfortunately, there are super nice individuals who camp out in this store from sun up to sun down. These awesome angels hang out by the warehouse doors and beautifully attack the poor employees who try really hard to get the goods out on the floor. One day someone will get accidentally hurt. That will be a terrible thing, especially when absolutely no one in management has stopped this graceful vulture -like behavior. This used to be my favorite place to come after a hard day at work. I used to call it my "Woosah" time and I'd shop for hours. Now, I find myself cringing at the thought of going inside. Maybe they should have a special day for the people who just want to do some regular shopping and not risk the danger of being ran over or hurt by the nice door hoarders. There is money to be made in your establishment , but a lot of people are saddened by this behavior and unwanted new way of thrifting. When this gets under control...I'll be back.....SAD read more

I love this particular thrift store and thrift stores in general. The employees go above and beyond to be helpful. The employees are friendly and kind. The store is well laid out and clean. You can find great deals but their are many customers who are very consistent in coming there looking for good deals as well so sometimes you miss amazing deals by minutes... I usually purchase clothing for myself and my Sons (we are various Men's sizes L,Xl and 3xl) there is always something amazing in clothing... music, movies and games well you have to work really hard to get the good items because competition is fierce but they do get good items. Pricing at any thrift store is going to seem a bit unbalanced because various people do pricing but overall 2nd avenue is generally great to fair... Wonderful store read more

I shopped here (2661 Morris Ave) for the past two days and loved it!! The people here are AMAZING with their customer service from the time you walk through the door. The set up is crazy. You do not even know you are in a thrift store you think you are in TJ Max or Marshalls. The prices are great!! It's not like the Unique Thrift stores where you think you are shopping in a high end store. Very affordable as a thrift store should be. They have 50% off on Sundays, Mondays and Thursday's. or every $150 you spend you get 10% off which you can also use on the 50% off days for a saving of 60% off. The only thing I think was a downside was I spent $271.00 yesterday and about $75.00 today, but I was only able to get one 10% off. After your first $150.00 I think the total should continue instead of starting your $150.00 all over. I have been telling all of my friends about this store and we plan to take a girlfriends trip next weekend. Great store with fabulous prices!! You have to go there!! GOODBYE Unique Thrift! I loved this store when it opened, but it has gone down hill significantly since the acquisition by Savers. Two things in particular - first, prices have gone up significantly, and most annoying for those folks (including myself) looking for men's suits -- they have decided to split up the blazer and pant from suits, making it near impossible to find the matching set in the store. I literally had about half a dozen suit blazers I would have bought today if I had been able to find the matching pants (these were clearly suits that had matching pants at one point in their lives), and I spent nearly an hour sifting through three long racks of pants to no avail. I get that prices went up, we can deal with it, but please stop separating out suits into separates. No one wants to buy half a suit; those pieces clearly just sit forever and do not sell. read more

The store started out a clean and organized shopping experience. Sadly it is a dirty mess now. People seem to "Camp Out" all day in the store by the doors where merchandise comes out of so they can pick through it before it gets on the shelves. Gives the store a seedy and low level feel. happened to be passing by and i love a good thrift store so of course i went. this place is HUGE! they have literally everything you can imagine. prices are fair, clothes a bit much but they have sales often. at the register a lot of my things were half off. you could easily be in there for hours looking at everything. best part is they have a regular register plus like 6 self check outs so you can get out quick and not wait in a long line. read more

1st time to this chain of thrift stores. Newly opened where the Shoprite used to be on Morris ave/Lehigh Went yesterday with a bit of trepidation being it was a holiday & usually it's 50% off most clothing items & whenever visited Unique the parking lot & inside the store reminded me why I've skipped malls the last few years(esp during the holiday season even factoring in much more shopping done online nowadays) Well, we were pleasantly surprised the parking lot had empty spaces in each aisle & inside the store was very neat & clean(being it only opened a couple of weeks ago we'll see how it's maintained going ahead). Clothing items clearly marked(a few sizes were in the wrong spots but I blame that more on lazy shoppers changing their mind & not putting what they chose where they found it). It was pretty calm(no one yelling &/or being yelled at by a cashier) so good to see civilized behavior for a change. In fact, it was so calm after purchasing 3 items Mom forgot she needed another type of item so went back in & found those other items & in both cases waited no more than 5 mins to be checked out each time even though there were plenty of shoppers with full carts. I'm guessing since this store is new some people aren't aware of it so again in the future we'll see how is once everyone knows about it. We got(all new w/tags) winter coat(water-resistant), 2 tops & 2 sweatshirts for under $24. Afterwards we had no reason to head to Unique(which is just a couple of minutes away) & will continue to make this our 1st choice thrift store. read more

This UNION NJ store caters certain buyers! I have shopped at this store at least four times a week for well over a year. There have been many times I have seen employees actually come from the stock/pricing/backroom and actually PERSONALLY HAND OVER items to 2 specific customers! I have seen two of the managers do it along with several "pricers" as well. This is not rumor. It happens daily. I'm not sure if he gives them a cut of the selling price once he sells it or because they are of the same nationality. What I can say is..this is wrong! How is this fair to regular customers. Again, this is absolutely true since I have learned their names and can identify them by sight as well. Poor business practices. I come often and enjoy the store. My unresolved problem is the situation with paying. Yesterday there were 2 registers open and 1 line, despite being told that there is 1 line PER REGISTER. Since I discovered Goodwill near my job that was 'my go to' thrift shop, until I accidentally discovered 2nd Avenue, never have I ever seen such a well organized clean store, not a Dollar Tree and sometimes some Walmarts, big wide clean bright aisles, quality merchandise, I belong to a few Facebook groups dealing with thrift shops and antiques and people out West always talk about Savers and Value Stores and the great prices, meanwhile here in NJ we have NY prices even at Goodwills, I mean I have snagged some good stuff don't get me wrong, I'm into Vera Bradley and have purchased a few with tags still on them, but I've seen merchandise that should be thrown out at high prices, not at 2nd Avenue, since this pandemic, I was dying to get out and thrift recently I was in the area and popped in since it's now opened, and it felt so good, snagged a brand new pair of Croc sandals for $1.99 and a brand new bathing suit for $7.99 it retails for 79.00, sadly I wasn't able to stay long but I will be back, now that it's open again, I can make it part of my supermarket, pharmacy run (that gets really old!) So 2nd Avenue is a great thrift shop for the 'thrifty' shopper and in these hard times a great place to stretch a dollar! read more

Sorry to report the merchandise on this store's shelves and racks has generally become junky garbage lately. For instance, the once famous jewelry display cases look like someone in the back of the store has removed any jewelry of even modest value before it is offered for sale to the once loyal regular customers. Maybe the company has changed its business model and now has special buyers pick through their inventory before the regular customers have a chance to look at it. I just don't know what has happened but I hope this is not a case proving the old adage correct that all good things come to an end. I know the former production manager Lorena was recently replaced so maybe that accounts for the garbage littering the entire store over the past month but maybe it's just a slow time of the year for donations and estate liquidations. Not sure but I'll change this post if the merchandise quality improves. If it doesn't improve I'm done with the place. I can't waste my time looking at garbage! read more

I came across this thrift store and was excited on some great finds out on the floor . I work in the creative field and love to find well crafted , well designed merchandise of years past and enjoy bringing them back to life and use. Especially in furnishing my home affordably. But as I have gone back to find more , I am disappointed about what doesn't make it to the selling floor. Why? Because of groups standing at the doors in the back. The merchandise doesn't even make it to the shelves . They are clearly there as pickers; just to flip it, with ridiculous mark up. If it looks old they grab it from the bin/cart. you dare not go back there as you might get your hand bitten off or nudged out of the way. Not sure if there is any resolution to this but it does make the shopping experience less enjoyable . Perhaps They should restock when store is not open to allow a fair chance at finds. I know not feasible. Positive note. Staff is great, hardworking and give them credit for patience when bringing product out on floor . Store is well organized . read more

Only been shopping there 1 month and seen prices skyrocket. A couple people said the prices went up as well. Last straw was finding a Robert Graham dress shirt for $15 great price but 2 others on the rack were priced at $50.00. Ridiculous. I shop at a couple other thrift stores that only accept high end brands and they don't have the audacity to price their inventory at a ridiculous price like that. I pointed out the price difference to the manager she took all 3 shirts back to the pricing manager she came back and priced the $15 shirt at $50 like the other 2. What a scumbag move that was if I wasn't in there shopping for 2 hours with a reward to redeem I would of left the cart right there and left not buying anything . I spent over $1,000 in that store in the 1 month I shopped there. That will be my last time shopping there for that move they pulled I'll spend my money in the other stores I shop at. read more

The store is good. Lots of cute clothes. Where my problem lies is one specific employee. This particular woman working there has an extreme attitude and no reason to be so harsh when speaking to customers. This store claims that their associates are "friendly" but that is further from the truth in this case. I rarely leave negative reviews but it's very necessary in this case. I was minding my own business trying on a few items in the dressing room- when I hear a loud banging on my door. The woman employee outside the door proceeded to ask me how many items I had. I began counting and she cuts me off and says that I need to open the door to the dressing room and put away some of my clothes because I "exceeded the maximum amount of clothes allowed" I HAD 6 ITEMS!!!! The limit is apparently 4 items at a time. I explained to the woman outside the door that I was unable to open the door at that time because i was getting changed. She then proceeded to demand that I throw my clothes over the door. I do as she says though she was being rude, and when I step out of the room she begins to look through my clothes and around my dressing room to make sure I "didn't steal anything" or whatever. Worst part is that she goes around to every other dressing room and does this SAME THING. If you want someone to know about store policy- make a sign and BE NICER!!! I handled the situation with kindness and compassion thought she did make me angry. This employee was in her 60s. Has white blonde medium-short hair. She also has bangs and glasses. She was incredibly rude and ruined the reputation of this store. read more
