To kick off our anniversary celebration, the bf and I wanted to go get couples massages. Being from OC, we've been spoiled with affordable $20 massages but in Vancouver it was a bit harder to find an affordable massage place. We called a place nearby that quoted us $190 for a 1hr couple massage. We debated it for a bit before I finally landed here instead. = MASSAGE & PRICE = We did the couples massage which ended up being $90 PP! It was such a great package and included: + 1 hour body massage + 1 hour foot massage It was quite amazing and the lady who worked on me didn't speak English as well but understood when I told her to go softer. My bf on the other hand has a lovely woman who knew English and checked up on him multiple times. After the body massage was done, we were told that we were done. Which made me and the bf think that they forgot about the rest of the package (which was fine since we were relaxed enough!). But, then they led us to another room and we got our foot massage there. = AMBIANCE = The place itself is located in a great area with lots to and and see. When you're outside it may not look like much BUT it's so nice inside- the perfect place to let go and just relax. We ended up tipping $30 to each woman and if I'm ever in the area I'll be back !! read more

My body has been in desperate cry for help, my shoulders and entire back were so exhausted that I felt like one big stone. It was truly affecting the quality of my life and it was making me feel truly demotivated to do anything (even going for walks around which I usually enjoy doing) I knew that my pain was caused due to super poor posture, and using my laptop and phone excessively. To add insult to the injury, I was using those devices in bed everyday. From all that you can imagine I was a big tired and stiff wreck. I went to Awesome Foot Lounge and Spa as hopes to alleviate my problems but I wasn't expecting anything great. Then, Warren came to the rescue. He addressed the need to change my lifestyle and I liked that he spent pretty much most of the time working on my problem areas. He used just the right pressure to target the right areas. I felt like it was a VERY good use of time and money to get treated by him. In fact, I am willing to come back next week to further improve my body and also enroll in some regular maintenance so that I stay in tip top condition. Many options are available. These ladies are super strong! The lymphatic massage is a bit painful but good for cleaning out "the junk" in your body. We got a foot massage and full body. Pretty decent for the price. Tough to communicate with them but overall they're nice. The TV was on sports broadcasting while my foot massage started so after they started I had to ask to turn it off. I took a coat and hat to cover myself and face for darkness. Worst massage experience ever! I went to this place with three of my other friends and they were all treated very well. I was massaged by a skinny man and he just didnt listen to anything I said! I wasn't very tolerant to pain so I asked him multiple times to be gental, however he keep saying this is "good pain" and just keep pushing some "acupoint" that was so painful that I almost mourned! This felt like a torture, rather than a relaxing massage. If you got the same massage guy, run away ASAP!!! read more

Nice, clean and a great value for quality reflexology. I found this gem by sheer luck... not fancy but new and very clean. My therapist was "Sam" and his hands were magic! Highly recommend him. Probably the worst experience trying to get a foot massage? Came in the morning asking for coins for the parking meter with a 10$ bill gave me 9$ dollars back without saying anything. The older gentleman was literally turned back over his shoulders watching TV while doing my foot massage... Gave me a 40 minute massage while taking 3 phone calls and on one of the calls he was arguing with his co-worker to see if I made an appointment with his co-worker when I was a walk-in.. I couldn't be relaxed at all when he's walkIng away every 10 minutes to pick up his phone. At the end when I was about to leave he tipped himself so the 45 massage that is shown online magically became a 58$ massage. My favorite part of this experience was when I left the building. My first time visiting Vancouver and came upon this place after a long weekend of tennis. Had their promo special of a 40 min body massage / 40 min foot massage for 68 Canadian dollars. What a deal. Had a 50 minute full body massage for $45. My masseuse Yo-yo was awesome, knew exactly where all the right pressure points were and got my knots out even though it was a bit painful at times. Their English wasn't so great so it was a bit hard to communicate, but other than that I had a really good experience here. read more

Extremely disappointed with this establishment. I had book a week in advance and when I arrived, they didn't honor my appointment due to over booking for the long weekend. Seriously?!? You would think they would respect the customer's time in calling in advance to notify changes to the appointments as customers are obliged by the cancellation policy. I had an unpleasant experience here recently. When I walked in on a Saturday night, it was dead. I was the only client there so I got seated immediately. I asked for a reflexology (foot massage) and it was very mediocre. A woman rushed in with her coat on and cellphone by her ear and I thought she was a client but asked me to face towards the wall so she could give me a shoulder massage first. So I turned around and she was blabbing away on her phone in Chinese giving me a one-handed massage.... really unprofessional. Then after the massage, she grabbed latex gloves and started massaging my feet. It was an awful experience. I'm not paying $50 for a half-a$$ foot massage with gloves on. My feet are not that dirty - I literally just showered before I got there. PLUS they make you soak your feet in sanitized water (which probably has tons of chemicals in it). Anyway, probably won't be back. 3 stars because decor is nice and the arm chair is comfy. read more

The quality of the massage is hit and miss, and given that I can get in last minute, I'm OK with that. However, about month ago, I had a BAD massage--he ignored me when I told him it hurt, when I told him again the pressure was too hard. I was face down on the table, grunting in pain every now and then and he did not adjust. Nor did he have me roll over. They have a sign at the till that says the suggested tip is $10. I think it's tacky but whatever. However, this time, with such a bad massage, I declined to tip. I had to decline THREE TIMES. So I stayed away, cooled off, and then came back a month later to give them another chance. I opted for the foot massage. I notice the guy who nagged me to tip last time was talking with the front desk lady, who I assume is the owner. The foot massage was great. No issues, so of course I'm going to tip. Sometimes I do $10 sometimes not, depending on the service. However, before I had a chance, the tip sign was picked up, put down right in front of me, pointed out along with a verbal directive that TIP IS TEN DOLLARS. No. Hell no. You are NOT going to tell me I have to tip, regardless of the quality of service. I gave me $10 and got out. I will never return. Rude, demanding, unprofessional. read more

This is my new favourite massage place. I have been going for massages for about 1x a week for the last 5 years to various reflexology places around Van and this is the best one so far. Its a little bit pricier compared to the others but definitely worth it. I have had Ken, Sam and Michael. They are all so good and very strong. Its clean and new and cozy in here. I bought a 10x package when it opened and have used them all up. I hope they offer this again as it is the most affordable way to go regularly. read more

I've been having chronic pains in my left ankle for months from playing basketball and tight traps and lower back from sitting in front of a computer eight hours each day for most days of the week. I was recommended by a friend to try this place out. The lobby was pleasantly furnished and the rooms were quiet and comfortably soothing. I was skeptical at first because I would normally see a chiropractor first, however I was quite satisfied with the treatment I'd received. Sam had an unique technique which was consistent, powerful and effective for my muscle tightness and soreness. He massaged my left calf muscle and the tendons on the outside of my left foot and relieve much of the discomfort from left ankle. Sam also addressed my upper back problems by massaging my upper traps, rhomboids and rear delts to relieve the tensions and weakness in the upper back. I was told to do stretch routines and exercises on my own to prevent the muscles from going back to improper positions. I was quite pleased with my experience at this place with Sam, if you have problems that are similar to mine, I recommend you to check out this place for a consultation or a diagnosis. read more

Great place opened late night. Very clean, no frills. Me and my friend came after shopping at 9pm, so perfect way to cap off the night. My guy put very firm pressure which was painful at first, but my back was extremely sore and felt better after my quick shoulder massage (they give this before the foot massage). WARNING! Be clear with what you want and don't want and if you only speak English insist on an English-speaking provider! Myself and 2 friends went here after a day of exploring the city. We all ordered the "combination" body and foot reflexology massage. My two friends had a wonderful experience, but I feel like I was tortured. The guy who did my massage performed what I would call a Thai massage; including, him standing on me and stepping down on parts of my back/butt and the "choke hold" where they violently crack your back. I had to tell him 8 times to lesson the pressure, even after we "agreed" on "medium". He said I was very "sore" and needed "extra strong". I refer to him as "the guy" because I did not get his name! I was already naked on the table when he entered and started working on me (eg, I was not offered a choice of male or female unlike my friends). Also, as this person was working on me, he would go in and out of the room for some unknown reason, and I am fairly certain someone else would "fill in" and generically rub my back while he was gone for a few minutes! The guy asked me if I wanted "inside or outside" and pointed to 2 parts of my legs. I responded that I did not understand and he repeated exactly as before. I assumed he was asking for permission to massage inside my thighs and touch in a semi-private area, so I agreed. Apparently, this was his way of asking if I wanted the "normal" foot reflexology outside of his massage room! I did not realize that I was NOT getting my foot massage until he left the room (as was common at that point) and I could sit up and glance at the clock that showed I was 70 mins into my "torture session"! No wonder it seemed to be taking forever! I also did not realize that my 2 friends were getting fairly relaxing back massages (they both had female providers and had to ask for more pressure) and the typical foot reflexology massage. How do 3 people order the same thing and end up with 2 different services? When we met in the lobby after our service, I was somewhat clued in that my friends and I received different services. We asked about my foot reflexology session and that's when it was explained that I "agreed" to stay in the room and have the guy work on my feet, after he pointed to 2 parts of his legs! By the way, he touched my feet one time! I was feeling so upset at that point, that I just wanted to get out of there so I paid and left. My friends and I agree the place looked nice (calm, stylish decor) and seemed clean, and they were able to accomodate 3 people last minute around 6pm (other places were closed or closing). You may want to try this place based on my friends' experiences, but I would be more assertive about what you want and don't want, and would definitely request an English-speaking provider! FYI, if you are looking for a Thai-style massage, this was very good. read more
