She was dressed like a homeless person and worse than that, she wasn't funny at all. She introduced I think 4 other comedians. 2 of the comedians were funny, one was Shawn Felipe and the other was a "Kramer" type comedian. One of them was a little funny and a comedian named Arthur Wayne was not funny at all. He was just creepy. The venue is small and the waitress comes to your table to take your drink order. The night we went, the room was not even half full. All in all, it was a night out.

Really uncomfortable and the lighting was blinding the comics. There's a folding table in the hall with overpriced drinks you can take inside the room... but then you have to hold the drinks on your lap. If they ever 'fix' the location, I'd love to try it again.

I'm not a write 1 negative review and never come back to Yelp- I do have over 500 reviews as of writing this- so I would appreciate not having negative comments coming back to me as this is only my humble opinion both as a reviewer and a aficionado of great music. I like the space, it is unique in that it is so small. That isn't negative- it lets the audience be right there with the band and the band can clearly see the reactions of faces of fans and hopeful fans. This is a real confidence raiser for those on open mic night to be able to see a crowd enjoy their music. Did I mention it is small? Even as small as it is- there is a large bar facing the bandstand. In a way - it is hard for fans to get used to, There are 2 large eye focuses. The bar or the bandstand. I don't know why there are two focal points- is it to keep people for going in and out during a concert? There are other smaller mobile bars that they have in other areas -like Crossroads. But it is a large bar compared to the stage. Do be aware though of what kind of band you are paying for in advance. It can be disappointing if you pay what I would consider full price for a show and it is less than you expected. Google/ Facebook/ Amazon the band and then you should have a better idea of the bands quality- because they are playing in a realllllllly small venue. If you don't want to pay for a small venue show -then wait. I have been to about 50 different music venues in Austria and Germany and seen many different types of shows- from classical to modern music, and the venue really does influence your experience. Depending on the band- I like having a small small venue to hear them- it is not a coffeehouse feel where there is a phsishhhshshsh sound every 2 minutes so the sound quality is better than coffee houses - but has the feel of a coffee house where you can drink. I think the Safehouse/ Republik is a better venue - comparing Honolulu venues to Honolulu venues. My advice is still to know what band it is you are going to see and enjoy the band you are going to see- regardless of the venue because supporting local artists is a wonderful way of promoting local music.

The Studio is a small bar located as the first door on your right once you enter Hawaiian Brians. You don't need to go passed security checking your ID so it's definitely good for those who aren't legal. Did I mention it's really small? I was here for an EP Release party, another band and an independent musician and his friend opened up for them that night. This was a great example of the talent Hawaii has to offer. If you really like to be in an intimate settings where you can be as close to the band as possible without possibly hurting your ear drums this is the place. The space is very chill, people come and sit at the tables, grab a drink at the bar, stand. It probably won't be as intimate if your friend's band is extremely popular. If that were the case you should tell your friends to consider the Crossroads which is the larger venue in Hawaiian Brians. If you don't like live music, or people, or need your space at all times, I don't think these places are for you. If you're into live music, like people and have the opportunity to catch a conversation with the people making music you like than definitely stop by. There's always these kinds of events happening at the Studio and at Hawaiian Brian. I suggest you check out if you want to get into the Hawaii music scene, this place is a start.

We had an amazing time overall, but honestly, the highlight of the whole trip was the Aloha Kai Lūʻau dinner on our fourth night. It was magical. We arrived just before sunset, and the park was stunning. The view, the breeze, the vibe. Everything felt so special. Then came the food, the music, and the incredible performances. It was such a fun and unique way to experience Polynesian culture. The dancers were full of energy and so sweet, beautiful inside and out. My son still keeps asking about the "pretty dancing aunty" he saw on stage! And I'll never forget dancing with my husband under the sunset, with live music in the background. Truly a moment to remember. Thank you for giving our family (especially my parents) a night we'll never forget. We laughed, danced, and felt so welcomed. Hope to come back again someday.

You can sit at the table and enjoy the view or participate in a wide variety of cultural activities. My daughter loved the hula lesson! Next comes dinner- all you can eat buffet style. There was a $50 minimum for credit card at the inside bar area. But there was a ATM conveniently located between two alcohol stations. Maybe later in the evening it would have gotten more loose. Don't know as the next day was still a work day, we had to leave earlier to get our beauty sleep. The roof top setting was gorgeous with the water of the pool changing colors beneath the skyline and starry night. We were the 1st ones to enter affording us a quiet respite to enjoy the moment before the crowd came in. Precious. Two full bars and two dance floors didn't have much people dancing. There were some very interesting costumes worth taking pics of or with. I was impressed with the get up many tourist had. Halloween is no longer just for kids. Did we really grow up? ( As I stare into the mirror looking in the mad eyes of the mad Hatter.) It was nice to see what this was all about. Next year I will be more prepared for the going ons and hope to participate more. Walked over to Kapiolani park, then the tennis courts. Lopaka told us stories throughout the entire tour. You do get to participate, I don't want to give too much away. You'll walk away with memories and stories to share. There is walking involved on this tour. Bring a jacket. Park at Waikiki Shell or the metered parking between the bandstand and the tennis courts (Kalākaua Ave). I can't wait to go on the next tour!

"Crazy Rich Asians"…read more I saw this fantastic movie four times prior to this! I went with different friends in Kaneohe, Honolulu, and in California! Each time was enjoyable and thought provoking! So...when my friend, Amy M., suggested that we see this movie AGAIN, I said "yes" right away! I had been to this venue several times before this. I knew the drill... go early and park for free across the street at South Shore Market in Ward Village, then stand in line outside the gate to the IBM Courtyard. The gate is supposed to open at 6pm. That's why we aimed to be there at 5pm because the seating is first come, first served, except for the HIFF (Hawaii International Film Festival) members. They get a special line and enter first. The walk-in people get in last. There are monitors who decide when to start the next row of people when the line gets too long. The monitors also check tickets and distribute wristbands. This Valentine's Day evening was rainy, so a tent was in place. There was also a table filled with bags of complimentary popcorn for each guest! The comfy sofas in the front were reserved for people who won VIP Seats via an Instagram contest! We were early enough to sit on the slightly padded wooden folding chairs in the first row on the right side. The middle section's front row had reserved seating for the HIFF Members. The movie started around 7pm when it was dark enough. Overall, this is a unique venue because of the cool Hawaiian trade winds. In the summer, when it's not raining, there's no tent - which allows a beautiful view of the sunset colors in the sky! The fancy restroom is convenient. Food trucks and restaurants are nearby so you can bring your food in and enjoy a totally wonderful experience!
