I would normally give this 3 stars anywhere else, but relative to other restaurants here in Watertown, I bumped it up an additional star. There's plenty of parking on the street or the parking lot adjoining. Approach is open and the door is obvious. Ambiance inside is interesting; open area, semi-dimly litt with the bar to left and more table and booth seating to the right and there's a step down separate room for private events, further underpins the steak joint atmosphere. The menu options covers land, sea and air and my paaps and I landed on air and myself went with turf. The meat dish the filet oscar was perfectly cooked to medium rare with lobster, shrimp, asparagus topped off with hollandaise sauce. The chicken breast was the same quality and the dad added a side of wild rice. Wine menu is descent for the area and I ended up with a pinot that was a nice accompaniment to the steak. I've been coming to this town for quite some time and didn't know about this place, so will add it to my go to place and would recommend to anyone looking for a descent, quiet restaurant here in Watertown. read more

Just sat down to eat, going to try and do a "live review" of my experience here. The decor is an odd mix of the holidays (winter), lodge, country, and artsy. I don't know what to make of it. Service is excellent - friendly and efficient. I like the menu here. They are focused on quality meat - steak, prime rib, ribs...I had originally been thinking prime rib but went with the ribs instead. The cheese burger soup was a nice mix of chedder, potatoes and meat. The ribs were, oh what's the word...I'm debating between mediocre and unimpressive. If I were to judge them by my first batch (yes I actually sent the first ones back) it would be gross. The ribs were overcooked and the sauce tasted burned. My second batch was slightly less overcooked - at that point I wanted to get my meal done and leave. I have heard the prime rib is outstanding so this place might be worth a second look for that. read more

I have eaten here a few times with mixed experiences. One meal was right on target; steak was great and the service was excellent. Our second visit good; prime was great and the service was ok. Our third experience, 8pm on a Friday night, was underwhelming. The place was not busy, but the service was slow. The restaurant was hot, humid and simply uncomfortable. The food was marginal; stuffed fish was NOT fresh and the shrimp and lobster had a funny taste and texture. One in our party ordered a steak that was pretty good and perfectly cooked, but the steak tips and butterfly shrimp were somewhat of a disappointment. We are going to hope that our last experience was just due to an off night. We WILL try 2nd Street Station again, but will do so knowing that we are just rolling the dice. I want it to be good. I've been here a handful of times and each time I think they can't get any worse I'm wrong. It's over priced for mediocre food and lackluster service. I've eaten an entire meal here and recieved one drink. The waitress never came back to our table. read more

Husband craves the ribs every time we come here. Which you can only order on Thursday nights. I would love to try the prime rib but usually we just end up there for rib night and I never get a chance. I do order the cajun seafood pasta which I do really like, I have had it twice now and although I do not go back because I crave it, I order it each time and like it a lot. The salad bar is basic and small but lets face it, its a salad, is that why you are here? The wine selection isn't stellar, no sauvignon blanc even, but for the price and quality of food its worth not getting a great glass of wine. So we have been here 3 times so far on three different trips, and we keep coming back. read more

Really good place! Only negative is when we walked in, we weren't greeted right away, so we just sat at a table, people that walked in right behind us were greeted instantly and taken to a table. Other than that, good food! We had cheese balls for appetizer. French onion soup..really good! And we had prime rib. We even splurged on desert. Everything was delicious. The steak tips were horrible, covered in a paste gravy , and onions and mushrooms that were not listed on menu. And when asked for something different because I don't like mushrooms and onion. Was told it will be 25 min. So I guess I just had a brown salad so I could eat with my guests. read more

Service at a glacial pace. Decent tasting food and good value, once the waitress finally came over to take our order(20 min after being seated.) My husband got the ribs and it was enormous for just $13. However everything came out COLD, and repeatedly asking for water and a straw with no luck was annoying. They weren't overly busy and seemed to be well-staffed, so no idea how it could take that long. read more

After having a horrible, so called seafood platter, at another place in Watertown, I was advised to try the Walleye at the Station. It was great, pan fried and not overly greasy. Went back two evenings later and tried the scallops, they were great. Broiled, not fried. Probably not fresh off of the boat, but very good nevertheless. read more

Their prime rib was juicy and cooked the way we wanted it. The kids enjoyed their spaghetti and rib meals. It wasn't very busy and seems to take longer to get our food than I thought it should have. Took awhile to get our bill too. Staff was friendly though. Decorated cute for fall and had a homey, rustic atmosphere. I'd go back there again. read more

My husband and I went here for dinner with some friends tonight and it was excellent. The atmosphere is good and the staff was more than helpful. I ordered a drink that wasn't on the menu and they gladly made it with the recipe I pulled up on my phone from pintrest, and didn't even complain. Apparently there was a delay in our food arriving to the table, which we really didn't even notice since we where having such a nice time and already enjoying our soup, salad, and fresh bread but the manager came to our table and let us know there had been an error with our order and that we would be getting free dessert for our entire table to make up for it. We where impressed the manager and staff recognized an issue and corrected it before we even said anything. Our main courses where great, the steaks where even prepared as ordered and the dessert was an impressive treat all four people at the table couldn't even finish. We will definitely be back in the future! read more

Ambiance is interesting. That's were it all falls apart. Took OVER an hour to get our order. When the food did come, the Prime rib was 1/4 inch thick. Mashed potatoes were runny and gritty. Waitress was less than friendly. It would help if she could just smile. I would not recommend this restaurant at this time. Maybe they will get better with experience. read more
