I went there a few times - with and without my boyfriend and noticed, that when we are splurging on their way overpriced "spa" pedicures and manicures, they act nice, but when I went there just for a basic no-fuss pedi, they did a sloppy job, master was rough and unfriendly, rushed through the job trying to get rid of me fast, not even trying to be nice. IDK how they expect good tips after that. They also started to charge this preposterous "service fee" on top of the service you pay (which is ridiculous because in VA there is no tax for services) - I guess that's how they offset their credit card transaction fees. Unfortunately, I will not be returning as a customer to their business! I went in Sunday with my 7 year old daughter for a pedicure. After sitting there over 30 minutes with our feet in water (no jets) waiting to be helped, the water turned cold. I decided to leave but was quickly assisted so as not to leave. My 7 year old requested not to get her nails trimmed or filed. Before I knew it the lady assisting her had dried her feet and started putting on the polish. She didn't do ANY pedicure at all! No special stuff in the water, no lotion! Nothing! Once I got to the register and saw $23 was being charged for her pedicure, I let them know that she never got a pedicure. Unfortunately, they refused to just charge the normal $5 for painting her toes and charged me $23 anyway!! I was told next time tell them say "no water" because since we were sitting there so long in the water with pruned feet and cold water, and no jets, that counted as a pedicure! Sorry to say, it seems like they thought poor treatment of a customer was worth the extra $18. they made! oh, and I have to mention... the pedicure I received was very rushed! Definitely will be going elsewhere! Edit to my review: This is the first Yelp I have ever done, which speaks volumes! Just seeing the managers unprofessional response to this Yelp shows you what kind of a business he runs and that I made the right choice! I love the way he had to say " You made up your price?" Or " you seemed to enjoy your beverages. We got you on camera!" (A can of Sprite and a can of tea).. Let's be clear- my daughter DID NOT receive her pedicure, only hot water that turned cold, dried her feet off and painted her toes! I went there last year mid December for a manicure. The lady who did my nails did not understand what I wanted at all. She did a good job even though it was not what I asked for. So, I decided to give them a second chance and came prepared with pictures of what I had in mind, earlier this week. I asked the technician if they could do simple design, they said yes. All I asked for was nude base with there lines in different shades of pink and white. The lines are soooo crooked and there is space between them. It looks like I did it myself. Plus they filed my nails so harshly it hurt my skin. I will not be going back there. I echo some of the comments on google to make sure you book the people who know how to do designs, which at this place is about 3 people. The rest are below average. Very disappointed. read more

I'm giving it a 2 because my pedicure went well. My eyebrow waxing not so much. Kelly waxed my eyebrows and snatched my most of my eyebrow off. I felt like something was off because in all the years of getting my eyebrows waxed it's never taken that long and then she tried drawing my eyebrow in telling me it was because my eyebrows were thin. I noticed my eyebrows were shorter than normal and figured maybe that was the issue. I paid and went to my car. I still thought it weird she'd penciled my brow in so I wiped the pencil off to discover my eyebrow was gone. I walked back and asked to see the manager. The woman I spoke to offered to fix it but I didn't understand how that could be possible considering. She apologized and the gentleman initially spoke to refunded my $12 for the waxing. Kelly also apologized after asking what was wrong and me having to state the obvious. I was aggravated at the fact that it was very deceitful to pencil in my brow and then charging me for the service knowing full well what happened. The least she could've done was be honest up front. granted i would've been disappointed at least I'd know. If I hadn't wiped it off I would have none the wiser until later tonight when I washed my face. I've been there 4 times and spent no less than $90 each time without the tip so to have this occur is frustrating to say the least. read more

The salon overall is very clean and seems to be well stocked. The options for pedicures were vast and the used real, fresh elements of you select those. I was impressed and relaxed by my aloe pedicure. This all went downhill after I made an 11 am appointment with Dan. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was informed that he had a client and would need another 30 minutes, so I decided to get the pedicure. After completely finishing my pedicure by noon- I waited until 1:15 pm when Dan finally finished with the same client's nails that was in the chair when I arrived just before 11 am. It was frustrating but I was understanding that things happen. Dan completed my full dipset and design with 45 minutes. I was not to found if someone of them design techniques, but overall my nails looked fine. With 2 days, I had three chipped nails and realized that a gel overcoat was used that was peeling off of all of my nails. Honestly, if it weren't for a good pedicure from one of the kind ladies that greeted me, my rating would be much lower. I don't think I'll be returning. read more

I have been coming here since they opened. My mom loves Diamond and Donny and I would usually go to Donny until recently so I started trying new nail techs. I had Christine today and would normally love my experience but absolutely hated it. Taking off my acrylic nails has never been so painful, the soaking process was rushed making it hard to take the nails off. The manicure was not relaxing at all, she got frustrated at the fact that the gel machine wasn't drying my nail and then proceeded to tell me I was placing my hand in there wrong. As if I hadn't been getting gel on my nails for 6+ years. My thumb nail is lopsided and I left with residue all over my nails. I thought leaving with clean nails was a standard for all the techs. Like I mentioned above - I love this place and highly recommend but my nail tech today and the experience I had was anything but great! read more

Worst experience ever!! I was a walk-in. I did wait 1/2 hour to be seen. It wasn't that big of a deal. Donnie is the person who worked with me. I did warn him that my cuticles needed work. What my cuticles didn't need was to be cut up everywhere. The other unpleasant part was the outer part of my foot was scrubbed so hard, it's raw. It's painful. When I called and tried to get a refund, I was told there is no refund. Then Donnie kept saying over and over, I asked to have my cuticles cut. I did ask but not to have my skin cut and go the point of my hands burning when I wash them. I have attached pictures. Cuticles cuts are kind of hard to see. The raw skin is very easy to see on my foot. read more

Was excited to get my nails done here since the photos of the mail designs were great but the front desk was horrible. I called and set and appointment, asked her what time would be best to come in since I needed to be done at a specific time, she told me 11. I get to the store at 11 and she roaming around trying to find a tech. My appt was with diamond and for some reason she was just starting on a gel manicure. So I asked the front desk why would you schedule me at 11 if she had someone or that she's going to take someone. Mind you I made the appt 10 mins before 11am cause I live right down the street. As their trying to figure things out I'm told it'll be 30mins before ANYONE can do my nails. Not only was that a huge inconvenience but the customer service has horrible. I was contacted to see what could have been improved on and while certain things are not really within anyone's control such as talking with masks on can sound muffled and be difficult in communicating. I appreciated that they wanted to know what could have been done differently for not only me, but other current and future customers. My normal tech is great, on base her nails stay on for months, and dont chip paint, But she doesnt have updated nail art gear or so i thought because i left with nothing special after spending 70. On pink tips and 2 of the same design on my pointers. After i said wanted to know prices before moving forward he started to rush me. He was really patient before. My budget was 150 but after seeing the rush job i stopped asking questions and gave up on my perfect Bday nails. My tips are uneven and stop 1/4 down nail instead of halfway so u can see the artificial nail tip and it looks tacky. His damenor was nice enough but i think his hunger for money dimmed his service. Donny was my tech his insta is popping but dont be fooled they must be 500 dollar sets. Id maybe go back with 4 design only . He said his job was better than my normal tech. The nail tech jimmy who sits in the front is rude and he acted like doing nails bothered him. I asked him did he want to take a picture of the nail art he did which I instructed him on so it came out nice but upon asking about the picture he rudely said take it yourself. Then he acted like cutting my nails down and repair would be so difficult, he had limited customer service and did not make me feel welcomed , there was a degree of he just wanted the money. I still tipped him but don't go to him if you looking for friendly service I want to add to this review that the owner is really nice and once I went back he made sure my nails were perfect and they took great care of me with excellent customer service! will never come back here. I called to see if I needed to make an appt because I knew if I walked in I may have to wait. They said I could come in and someone would take me that I didn't need an appt today. So I went and still had to wait. The wait was not long but that was the reason I asked should I make an appt so I wouldn't have to wait. The chair I sat in was uncomfortable and the guy who did my nails was a bit rough with my hands and commented on how short my nails Beds were and I couldn't get long nails because of that so I would have to get medium to short. I know I don't have the longest nail beds but there are not bad or that small. I've been getting my nails done for the last few months and none of the other nails tech have said anything plus I've had really short nail beds and my nails last for a long time before. I know having longer nail beds makes the nails last longer but I feel like there is more to it has to as well. But he acted like they were non existent in a way. Then he made assumptions told me not to open cola cans with my nails cause or my short nail beds.. I don't drink soda or hardly use any cans. And he would fix them if they broke or came off. Like dude my nails beds aren't bad da fuck??!?! And if they were that bad why give me a full set and still cut them on the longer side. You still wanted my money. You didn't give a fuck about my nail quality. Plus most nail places tell a person they can't give them a full set if their nail beds aren't there are too short. So I know he wasn't trying to look out for my best interest or give me quality service. His name is Eric and I didn't even get the design I wanted because I just wanted him to be done so I can leave.
